We absolutely loved the condo. It was immaculate, the décor was nice and simple and it was clean. And my wife and I are known to be quite picky. But, in this condo we simply had no complaints. Everything is high quality, from the kitchen appliances, to the BBQ, the bathroom fixtures and the air conditioners. We appreciated having the beach chairs and boogie board to use at the beach. We enjoyed the lush gardens along the way to the pool and beach. So many beautiful local beaches to explore and the beach path going to the south is great for walking and running. Stephan was very easy to work with, answered all our questions. We highly recommend this condo. Our "splurge" dinner out was at the Monkeypod and it was a great spot for a family with teenagers - food was excellent. We did a snorkel trip to Molokini and went to Black Rock as well, but found that there was also excellent snorkelling at Ulua Beach nearby. Keawakapu Beach was fabulous for boogie-boarding and body surfing.

This is a nicely appointed unit. One that what you see in the pictures is actually what you get and more. The unit is newly remodeled, clean and has all the toys you need to make your stay comfortable. The walk to the beach is down hill however it is a garden tour and well worth the walk to some of Maui's most beautiful beaches. Dining in was great but if you want to dine out we recommend Happy Hour at the Five Palms just down the beach from the condo or one of the many places the owner recommends in their guide book. Nothing is perfect and sound travels when the doors and windows are open. That being said, we would go back and have recommended it to both family and friends.

My wife and I stayed at this condo in February and it was fantastic. The condo is very spacious and has all the amenities including a new kitchen, renovated bathrooms, washer/dryer, and AC. It also comes with all of the pool and beach accessories that you will need. The complex is amazing with two private pools and a private entrance to the beach. Next time that we come to Maui we will plan our trip around availability of this condo.

Wonderful condo in Ekahi. Very private and close to the upper swimming pools. The complex is great, with a social area poolside for the retired folk to play bridge...there are cooking facilites here if one wanted to cook and eat at the pool or beach. The condo itself is totally renovated with granite and porcelain tiles and the kitchen outfitted with everything you might need (not inexpensive versions that you sometimes see in rental condos.....) enjoyed the morning walk along the beach and the gentle walk to the condo...but if you are elderly, the condo walk might present a problem...as it is uphill for a portion of the way...great exercise though...parking easily available outside the door...lots of amenities such as boogie boards, snorkel gear and beach towels, chairs...great for fun in the sun in Maui.

My family had a tremendous experience staying in this unit and we highly recommend it.

First, regarding the condo grounds: there are 3 "quiet" pools and 1 main pool with easy access to the beach. For a family with little kids, having water and ice available in the veranda by the pool is a small but great amenity. The property never seemed busy even though there were a lot of families staying for the holidays. The beach in front of the property is very nice and has an outcropping of rocks that is good for beginning snorkelers. Most of the days the waves were very mild, however a couple of days they got bigger and were perfect for body surfing. It's a bit of walk to and from the beach to the condo but we made the most of it.

Regarding the condo itself, it was larger than we thought from the photos and everyone was very comfortable. We have stayed at the Ekahi Village twice before and have seen several different units (from our own stay as well as other family members staying) and from our experience, this was the best kept, best furnished unit we have seen...by a long shot. Not to disparage the other units too badly as some are very nice, but some have just not been upgraded in recent years. This condo has to have been re-modeled very recently as it it in perfect condition, very clean, the furniture is new, the appliances are new, new BBQ, granite counter tops and everything works the way it should. We appreciated the beach toys and some children snorkel gear that the owners leave in the unit; we even contributed a boogie board we bought at Costco.

Regarding the owners; they were very organized in helping us book the reservation, told us when they would be in contact with us before our trip and made themselves available during our stay. We couldn't ask for more.

Lastly, if you haven't been to Maui, the whole island was under a wind advisory during our stay and when we landed the winds were roaring....until we drove into Kihei where it simply died, which is typical for Kihei and Wailea. During our 10 day stay we had 82 degrees and lots of sun; the wind would pick up later in the day, but it was perfect.

There were several choices we could have made for accommodations but we really loved the thought of returning to these condos and we could not have been more happy than staying in this unit. We will definitely return and recommend this to friends and family.

I travelled to Maui with my boyfriend in May. It was my 3rd trip to Maui, although it felt like the first as it has been 20 years since I was in Maui, and his first time ever in Maui. I don't think there could have been a better place to stay for our introductory trip to Maui. We loved the condo complex, it was close to the beach and a short drive away from many different shops and restaurants in both Wailea and Kihei.

The owner was wonderful to work with; wrote back promptly and answered all of my questions. The condo was gorgeous. The renovations made the condo look modern, however it still had a lot of Hawaiian charm. There was more than enough space for the 2 of us, with a large master bedroom and en-suite.

I especially loved the kitchen and lanai. We cooked in many of our meals and enjoyed eating them outdoors on the lanai while watching the little birds. The kitchen was well stocked with various pots, pans, utensils and cooking supplies, making it very easy to cook our own meals. We had one issue while on our trip, the kitchen sink was leaking, however the issue was dealt with very promptly by the owner. We couldn't have been happier with how he handled the situation.

The utility closet in the condo was well stocked with beach chairs, towels, coolers and mats, making every trip to the beach very enjoyable.

Ekahi 36A felt like our little home away from home. I would not hesitate to recommend this unit to any of my friends or family and I hope to visit it again one day.

We are a well-traveled couple who where staying in this condo for the last 2 weeks of September '12. I have so many good things to say about it, so I'll try to limit it.

Indeed, the renovation is right on. Not too modern, not too 'flower and 'bamboo theme'. The tones used are peaceful and neutral, the furniture had a tropical feel to it without being tacky. Ceiling fans are everywhere including the lanai which was nice on some 'no wind' evenings'. Louvered windows throughout letting the breeze in. And its a rare thing to see windows on 4 sides like in this condo. as in the 2 baths and kitchen.

One of my best things was the kitchen. I love to cook and I was a happy camper. The appliances are upscale from the Bosch DW, the stainless steel stove and fridge. Lots of counter space (granite). The Weber BBQ on the lanai. All the utensils, dishes you need. Also, cool LG W/D !
And last but not least, all the fun beach equipment is right there, from the beach chair and umbrella, cooler to the snorkel equipment,
I know it mentions this in the listing, but rarely do I find all of them in great condition and practically new.

I had a great vacation on this 8th time in Hawaii and this condo made everything easy about it. For those who don't know, Wailea is the top rated area in Maui, so it's a privilege to be in a reno'd condo with beach access at a reasonable price.
The owner has been very helpful and is very professional. I work for a major landlord in Canada who offers also vacation rentals, and I certainly can appreciate all the efforts made here for us vacationers.

We are a family of three with a toddler, and we really enjoyed our weeklong stay at this property. The large well-designed floorplan really gives parents the opportunity the relax and have a vacation. After spending time in a few cramped hotel suites, it was great to stretch out and not worry about waking up your kid.

All the fixtures, appliances, and electronics in the condo are high quality and perform flawlessly. The unit is well maintained, and is kept spotless by the cleaning crew. The property looks every bit as good today as it does in the pictures on this site.

The location within the Wailea Ekahi Village is very private. The area surrounding the unit is kept secluded by landscaping or stone walls. The private space to the side of the property connecting the main and bedroom lanai makes it feel like you have your own enclosed yard.

The owners provided a great orientation package that describes everything about the condo and the surrounding area. We really appreciated the local recommendations for things to see, and places to eat. They responded to all our email inquires in a very timely manner.
