Having been to Maui over the years we stayed in South Maui and West Maui and decided for us the West shore was where we wanted to be. Once decided we then scouted for a specific location. What drew us to Maui Sands was the great location on the ocean and the fact that it wasn't a high rise complex with hoards of people. We love the quaint quiet of Maui Sands and the fact that the buildings are only two stories tall. You always have a view of the ocean or the mountains behind the complex. Being only a five minute drive to the shops and restaurants at Kaanapali and only eight minutes to downtown Lahaina gives us the best of all worlds. My wife and i got married on maui and this island is very special to us. The landscaping at Maui Sands is very lush and tropical and enhances the overall feeling of the complex. With two reefs in front of the complex the snorkeling is great and allows us to enjoy the ocean. We have many shops and vendors within a block of the complex which is great for gourmet coffee, grocery shopping and other services. We have loved Maui Sands so much that we just bought two more condos here and will remodel them and have them available the summer of 2011.

Our location is great ! Within four blocks are three shopping centers, a health food store, jazz club, gourmet coffe shop, ABC store and gas station, major grocery store, fresh seafood deli, bicycle rentals, moped rentals, snorkeling gear rentals, etc. We are mid way between Kaanapali and Kapalua and the dining choices abound. We did a major remodel of our condo all the way down to the sheet rock so it is completely brand new inside with all new furnishings too.
