Enjoy breathtaking sunsets from this fifth floor, direct Gulf front condo on the beach with full ocean views from every room. The living and dining rooms, decorated in Florida contemporary style, and the two bathrooms are all newly remodeled. The master bedroom, with its en suite bath, and the living room each have sliding glass doors that open onto a 34 foot long balcony overlooking the beach and pool. The balcony has a glass paneled railing to allow uninterrupted views of the Gulf. The master bedroom has a tropical flair, the second bedroom has a nautical decor, and the renovated, open kitchen is fully equipped with high-end stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. To add to the relaxing atmosphere, ceiling fans provide a gentle breeze in each room

Located near the middle of Longboat Key across the street from a small plaza with a supermarket, shops and restaurants. The condo is equally distanced from downtown Sarasota and Bradenton. St. Armand's with its chic shopping, restaurants, and night life, is just a few minutes away. Also nearby are churches, synagogue, banks, and post office. A bike and walking path, located across the street, spans the length of the eleven mile long Island of Longboat Key. Many activities are locally available including golf, tennis, boating, fishing, and parasailing. Or --- just relax while watching the dolphins at play, gazing at the sunsets, and listening to the waves gently lapping on the shore.

Why The Owner chose Longboat Key

We chose the Beachcomber because of the location on the beach and near the south end of Longboat Key. We love being able to walk across the street to Publix for groceries, or to the sandwich shop for lunch.

What makes this condo unique

Our favorite spot is on the balcony watching the sun set over the Gulf of Mexico. Walking on the beach at sunset is also something we enjoy. Sometimes we go down to the community room or outdoor seating area and watch the sunset with other owners and guests. Seeing schools of dolphins, an occasional manatee, pelicans and other native waterbirds is always interesting. We think the peacefulness of the beach is the best way to completely relax and get away from it all.

Wonderful Gulf Getaway!

My family (two adults, two boys ages 5 & 7) stayed at the property June 2011 for 4 nights. The photographs accurately represent this beautiful 2 bedroom condo. The condo is immaculate and we loved the decor. The kitchen is very well stocked with everything you would need (dishes, pans, glasses, corkscrew!) and there is a great grocery store (Publix) within walking distance, across the street. The rooms were comfortable and the balcony was a great place to relax to watch the sunset and the dolphins swim past. Our sons LOVED the pool and beach! There are beach chairs, buckets and toys to share so each day we would get up and go down to the beach and set up our spot for the day on this wide open, uncrowded, white-sand beach. We are Floridians and this beach really impressed us. The Gulf waters are crystal blue and relaxing. The outdoor dining area with communal grill and tables was also put to use on our visit. Sarasota (St Armands Circle) with shopping, galleries and fine dining is a ten minute drive away. We enjoyed the Mote Marine Aquarium too (another nearby attraction-look for coupons online). This condo has everything you need for a relaxing getaway!

Beautiful Condo - Home Away From Home

My wife and I just got back to NJ and can't wait to return. The unit was perfect, clean throughout, you could tell the owners really took the time to make sure everything was like your home away from home, it really was a beautiful unit. The resort itself was outstanding, the beach and pool area were spotless and the staff was working hard at keeping it that way. The area restaurants were good and we enjoyed all the shops at St. Armands circle.

Great place...great vacation!

We stayed at this unit for a week... what a great experience! Neatly decorated, super well maintained, clean and well-equiped... amazing views..great decoration! We have absolutely no complaints about the apartment and/or the building... everything was just great, which helped ensure our great time. We are a family of 4 with 2 children ages 7 and 3. I thought by the end of the 7 days, we were going to be tired of the beach and sun... none of that...we couldn't get enough of the good time we were having. My children cried when we left asking to stay. We also enjoyed the fact that they have an area where beach chairs, toys, floaters, etc are kept for guests use, so we didn't have to worry about cleaning the sand to take them back to the apartment. The administrators were super nice. We had a problem with our credit card, which we solved very easily once we knew about it, but they didn't give us a hard time nor they were hunting us down to ensure payment. They just left a note at the door, which we read once we came back from the beach and solve the problem first thing the next morning. The beach is very secluded with no public access... we'll be back next summer!
