Perfect for my family of 4!

My wife and I brought our two children (9 and 11) up to the "Cute and Cozy" cabin on short notice. This happened to be one of the properties that was available and the owners were very responsive and accomodating of our last minute plans.
The photo's and description are spot on in my view. While not large, the place has been nicely updated/maintained and in my opinion the overall property is above average. I will comment on a few specific things.
The property is right off of the Highway. Great location and easy to get to but you will hear some road noise. This was not a problem for us. If you are looking for something tucked away from the road this may not be the place for you.
The kitchen was large, nice and well supplied with dishes/pans/utensils. However, they did encourage us to bring our own drinking water. By the way, my wife made me take pictures of the kitchen and suggested we should remodel our kitchen at home. We did find that one of the showers was a little small, kind of tucked into the bathroom and the footprint is sort of shaped like a piece of pie. But, we are tall and thin and it worked just fine.
I believe the listing throws out some cautions about the driveway and I was a bit concerned about this. I have stayed at a few places in the past where I am amazed that the driveway was even approved, especially considering the snow and ice conditions that are common. In my opinion, here the owners are just trying to be cautious. I have definitely stayed at places with more difficult driveways and the owners never said a thing before our arrival.
I would also mention that the place is heated with a wood burning stove. I enjoyed building and maintaining the fire and it added a nice relaxing touch to the evenings. I did see a gas fireplace but the controls were locked. If this is an issue for you I would encourage you to talk with the owner.
Overall we had a great experience. Great kitchen, comfortable furnitfure, easy to find, helpful owners, and a reasonable price. By the way, we were even high enough up in elevation that we got to enjoy a full day of snow. When we left the cabin it only took about 5 minutes for us to drop below the snow fall and be in the rain. Personally, if I'm going to drive to the Sierra's on the first day of March I prefer to play with my kids in the snow, not in the rain.
We would definitely recommend this place! Just don't book it on the days I want.

Perfect for my family!

This was my first time renting a cabin in Tahoe and not staying in a hotel. I don't think I ever want to stay in a hotel again. It's CLOSE to Sierra and easy to find. You'd think this place was built within the last year, everything is so new and clean. We had two couples and a 3 year old and there was plenty of room.
The cabin is extremely cozy. The wood burning stove kept it toasty warm. There was plenty of dry kindling and pre-chopped firewood inside and under the porch. We had one issue with the gas fireplace running too long. The owners had their local cabin caretaker there in a flash and fixed the minor issue immediately.
The kitchen is modern and very well stocked with equipment. There were plenty of blankets and towels and hot water. There were sleds, snowshoes and snow boots available. We spent hours watching my daughter sled down the hill behind the cabin.
Owner communication was excellent. They were fast and very clear on the rental agreement and any questions I had. I would definitely stay here again.

Beautifully decorated and squeaky clean!! It has everything you might ever need in a cabin plus so much more! Snow boots and show shoes, sleds, plenty of firewood, great DVD library, heating blankets!!! It basically provides endless entertainment both indoor and outdoor. The description is very accurate but just can't include everything this cabin provides. The owners were very helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend this property.

WOW!!! This property was everything it advertised and more. Can't get much closer to Sierra At Tahoe (3/4 of a mile away) which was great for our gathering. We all (old and young alike) enjoyed blazing our own trail to the sledding hill (on the property) and creating our own toboggan run. With the snow 6-8' deep, the snowshoes provided by the owners helped with this "chore/task" immensely. Snow shovels, sleds, and extra boots also provided by the owners were very helpful. Inside, the house was warm and cozy and easily kept warm (70-75F) through the cold nights (-2 degrees F outside one night during our stay) with the wood stove. Plenty of firewood was conveniently available under a tarp and was dry and cut/split to size. A nice feature when you are burning wood all day. The first room you enter is the "mud/laundry" room and this room acts as a great buffer for dirt/snow/cold/noise/etc. and is probably an overlooked feature of this cabin. The inside is very comfortable and CLEAN. The kitchen is clean and modern with new appliances and well stocked. The living/dining area is comfortable with a great view out the front windows. The house is very quiet inside even though it is right off Hiway 50. Traffic noise was non-existent inside the cabin. The two bedrooms and two bathrooms (one bath is private) in the back make this a comfortable cabin for 4 adults (plus kids). There is space for more if you want to put out cots or air mattresses.
A great location for a small family gathering and getaway. Already looking forward to coming back in the future!!!

Perfect cabin! Perfect location!!!

This is the cutest most well equipt cabin we have ever stayed in! The kitchen is fabulous for cooking and has everything in it you would need!! It sits so close to the lifts we saw many walking there!! At the cabin there is plenty of entertainment!! Movies, sleds, snow shoes, games, etc.... Our stay was during a particular snow spell and it was beautiful! We had an awesome time and we can't wait to go back!!!!!

Amazing Place

I have stayed in this lovely cabin with my husband and we really enjoyed it. It has anything you need to have a great time. It is very well equipped, with the perfect balance between modern amenities and a charming rustic getaway. Being almost right across the street, location is perfect, for anyone who wants to ski at Sierra at Tahoe. The forested views from the bedrooms are totally magical day and night. We strongly recommend this place.
