Townhome, 3 Bedrooms , 2 Baths, (Sleeps 9)

This is a two years new townhouse, with a two car garage, built in 2010. It is within walking distance to Historic Downtown Truckee. It is close to Lake Tahoe, Donner Lake, I-80, Amtrak, and all major ski resorts. (Boreal ski resort is around 11.4 miles, North Star Ski resort is 6.12 miles, Squaw Valley Ski resort is 13.2 miles, Alpine Meadows Ski resort is 14.6 miles, Sugar Bowl Ski Resort is 18.3 miles , Tahoe Donner Ski Areas is 7.46 miles, Donner Ski Ranche is 17.4 miles from our townhouse). Northstar is only a 10-minute drive away!

The living/dining room has beautiful forest and mountain views through it's three large windows. Each of the 3 bedrooms have windows, giving a bright, airy feeling. There is an adjacent balcony for relaxing in the morning light(closed during winter season). In summer, it is perfect for an outdoor meal or BBQ.

The spacious kitchen is fully equipped, with plenty of cupboards and counter space. The counter bar seats 4 persons, while the dining table seats 8. The living room sports a 47' flat panel HDTV with Cable and Blue-Ray player. This player has a Netflix app which can stream movies through the Internet.

New Mattresses, linens, pillows, and towels. All beds have new comforters. In addition, all appliances (fridge, washer, dryer) and fixtures are new.

The living/sleeping areas are located on the 2nd floor, so there are no long staircases to climb once you enter the upstairs. This is an end unit in a small, quiet, community. Even though the development is situated close to the freeway, there is no noticeable noise. You are sure to enjoy your stay in this modern, centrally located getaway!

About The Owner

We are a family of four: Nancy, Ed, Ellie, and Ethan. We live in the Bay Area (Silicon Valley) where Ed works as an Software Engineer. Nancy stays at home and manages the household and kids. Ellie is in 7th Grade adnd Ethan is in 5th grade. They are busy with homework, piano, swimming, tennis, etc. They are both beginning skiers, but aspire to ski down a black diamond!

Why The Owner chose Truckee

We've been coming up to Lake Tahoe for many years and really like the area. Though initially we wanted to buy a ski-in/ski-out unit, we found that being in Truckee was much more pleasant year round. Living in a ski resort after ski season ends is rather depressing, whereas Truckee continues to be lively in every season.

What makes this townhome unique

We enjoy the forest-like setting with the convenience of being in a town. We love walking to Downtown and along the Truckee River Legacy Trail. When we have to drive, everything is close by and convenient. Of course, there are all the outdoor amenities, such as skiing and hiking. This past summer we had fun rafting down the Truckee River.

Our family had a wonderful stay in the house. The townhouse is clean, well decorated and has good amenities. The kitchen is well equipped with utensils and cookware. The owner is very responsive to your questions.
The house is located near downtown Truckee and is very convenient to nearby ski resorts.

Thanks for the wonderful stay. We will definitely recommend to others.

Great place in a great location

We would strongly recommend this property. It is in a quiet development two minutes from the charming old town center of Truckee, full of quaint shops and restaurants. It is also strategically located within no more than 20 minutes of the ski resorts of Northstar, Sugarbowl and Squaw Valley. The pictures on the Internet do not do the property justice: it was extremely well equipped and very comfortable.The owners' keep the house impeccable and well organized, while being very helpful. Our family of four had a great Christmas holiday and we would not hesitate to recommend it to other families!

Very nice place in a central location

My family and I had a nice stay here. We wanted to ski different areas and this was very convenient for that. The unit was clean, well-stocked, and comfortable. The owner is very thoughtful and has everything planned for.

The location near downtown Truckee was a bonus.

We'd come back.

Very accurate descriptions and photos of this clean, new town home! We really appreciated the large assortment of toys and books for the kids. Really convenient location. I thought that we would hear the highway, but there was no problem at all. We had a great stay!

Wonderfully Appointed Condo

This place was just great! It was decorated simply but had all the little extras one needs, like great kitchen utensils and cookware (hard to find in a rental and we've rented many over the years) The furnishings and beds were very comfortable, there is a wonderful assortment of games (although we brought our own, we were impressed with the offerings), a boot warmer (very nice touch) and best of all was the drive in garage....no digging your car out of the snow every morning. There is a nice tv/ entertainment system if you want to bring movies for your visit. The owner checked in with us when we arrived, which was very considerate. We were out most of the day on the slopes so we spent most of our time at the condo in the evening. The location could not have been more convenient to the highway and the town of Truckee, with beautiful shops and great restaurants. We will definitely rent this condo again:)

Great unit near downtown Truckee!

We had a wonderful stay at this condo just near downtown Truckee. The unit is in great condition and has all the furnishings and kitchen equipment needed for a comfortable family stay.
We were there with our children for 3 nights and they loved the games and large screen TV! The living and dining areas were very comfortable and it felt like being at home. The owner was very responsive and helpful in answering our questions. It's a perfect location for skiing at Northstar. We could also easily access Alpine and Squaw. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
