My sister and I just returned from a week in paradise! We stayed at Mauna Kai Unit 2A. It was absolutely perfect. Parking is safe and easy. The pool is directly across from the unit. The pool and surrounding area was immaculate, with comfy recliners under lush palm trees. Unit 2A sits amide lush tropical gardens, that were simply magnificent. They are a few patios off of sliding doors from the unit, with comfortable chairs and tables, where were spent a few hours just taking it all in. There was a grill, but we didn't have enough time to cook...we had too many local places to enjoy. I have some difficulty with stairs and we were very happy to find that this first floor unit has no stairs to climb. It is immaculately clean and tastefully furnished in a tropical theme. The kitchen has every appliance, pot, pan, and dish that you could imagine. There were many thoughtful touches like insulated drink bottles, boogie boards, pool floats, and a nice little library for the guests to use, as well a WIFI and many cable channels. We found a list with great suggestions for local eateries. There is a washer and dryer and a clothes line off the master bath (which is as big as bedroom.) The beds were comfortable. There is a shopping center within a 1/2 mile, that has a food court. Our first night there, we went over for supplies and a snack and were pleased to learn they have live music a few times each week, including the nigh we were there. Golf courses, one with a fabulous restaurant with a breathtaking sunset view, and beaches are close by...we saw a sea turtle the size of a manhole cover swimming up beside us...really nice. We saw most of the major attractions in a week, but I could have easily spent another week there. The airport is small and efficient and within a half hour or so of Mauna Kai. I have previously stayed in Honolulu and Maui and they are so commercial, I was disappointed. Kauai is magnificent, and is where to stay!

We had a great stay at Mauna Kai 2A. The two bedroom condo was very comfortable and had many amenities that helped us pack light and save money! Items like boogie boards, towels, sand buckets, umbrella and yes a cooler! I love the north side of Kauai, and this condo’s location in Princeville was perfect! Morning or afternoon walks around the area are breathtaking. Anini beach is even accessible by a 10 minute walk down a steep hill for those not minding a little hike, or just jump in the car and drive down and have access to nice sand, calm water and great snorkeling. Unfortunately I kept looking at other beaches like, Tunnels beach, Hanalei , and even a long drive to Poipu when this was right under our nose the whole time! The owner was easily accessible if you have any questions and has great suggestions for places to eat and things to do. We traveled with my in-laws, a teen and a two-year old. The wrap around windows and sliding doors with beautiful garden and pool view are priceless, the facility is quiet and well kept. Thank you for sharing your home! My wife and I stayed here with our 2 year-old son. We had a fabulous time! I LOVED that the unit had a BBQ and all the needed tools to grill up dinners. We enjoyed having meals on the patio while enjoying the unbelievably beautiful view. The kitchen was full equipped with everything we needed to cook meals for our family. The bedrooms were perfectly furnished for our family. We loved how quick the owners were to respond to our questions prior to making our reservation. We were pleased that there was a grocery store close by. I can’t say there is anything that we did not like about our stay. We can’t wait to go back again.

My family and I stayed at this condo for a week. It was wonderfully furnished and had all the amenities we could have asked for. With children, having a washer and dryer at the unit was a lifesaver. We really enjoyed having the community park just up the street for our children to play at. We had a minor mechanical issue with the dryer during our stay. We contacted the owner and he had it fixed the next day. Talk about wonderful customer service! We would definitely stay here again and have already recommended friends stay here.

As soon as we walked in to this spacious, clean condo we felt comfortable and right at home. We loved that the pool is just a few steps away from the front door. It was very convenient to have a washer/dryer unit available, cable TV and a dvd player, and free wi-fi. The complex is very quiet and has beautiful tropical landscaping. There is a grocery store near by, it is a quick jaunt in to Hanalei, and close to the beaches and lots of outdoor activities. We loved our paradise home away from home and are looking forward to coming back again!

Let me start out by saying I already want to go back! This condo was a great place to stay and it accurately reflected their description of the place. After arriving from the airport, it was very nice to walk into a nice, clean, well maintained place, with a spacious kitchen, nice bathrooms, super fast wifi, and a comfortable bed. Beautiful sunshine when we landed, it started raining as I fell asleep, best sleep in a long time! The space invites relaxation.The great thing about the kitchen and dining areas is that you don't always want to go out to eat, and we made a great dinner at "home' and enjoyed eating on the patio. Great thing about the location is the ease of getting everywhere, especially the beaches of the North Shore/Hanalei (my favorite). Every day we had an adventure, hiking, zip lining, horse back riding, snorkeling, swimming, and just enjoying the beautiful/tropical scenery. Next time I go back, I'm trying ocean fishing and the catamaran experience. I would also recommend Postcards Restaurant and The Tavern (both close). The owner was always there if I had a question, and put my mind at ease with a complete listing of things to do and contact numbers before we left. I would highly recommend this condo to friends AND family, and will for sure return for another stay. Finally, the best thing is that our family had a great time being together for a whole week!

We were thrilled with this condo!! The description, photos, etc, were spot on. The accomodations were perfect for our family vacation. The layout of the condo afforded us the option of spreading out or spending time together in the oversized family room. We look forward to booking this condo again. I would highly recommend this place for a family. We will be booking again next year!!

"Great condo! My family of 4 stayed here for 1 month. Right from the get go Matt was easy to deal with. We were their over Thanksgiving which was special. The condo is fully equipped with everything you might need. We ate outside on the private lani. We were amazed at how big the condo felt. The bedrooms and bathrooms were huge! Another plus is that the pool is steps away. The condo is "turn key" just bring your clothes and not many at that because there is even a washer and dryer in the condo.
