Enjoy a beautiful and very private 1800's cottage by the Bay along Black Beach. Our quaint house has been in the family for 50 years. It was moved down from New Hampshire just prior to the 1938 hurricane. The main house has 3 bedrooms, the 'Fish House' sleeps from 4-8 (usually children!) in one bunk room and the 'Barn' houses kayaks and outdoor amenities. We have two outdoor enclosed showers and one outdoor bathroom attached to the Barn. Just outside the Main House is a beautiful stone patio, flower and herb gardens with giant fish bowl. There is outdoor teak furniture to sit and read (or bbq). Wonderful for family gatherings and intimate parties. A small lawn for croquet, badminton or whiffleball.
Take Beautiful walks along the shore to the mouth of the Great Sippewissett Marsh where you can float on the in or out going tides. Luxuriate in the very fine white sand and the amazing sand bar on your own private beach. Perfect for watching the sunset over the water. Nature abounds in this oasis.
We are walking distance to the Shining Sea Bike Path down a dirt road. This is a perfect way to bike to Falmouth (4 miles) or Woods Hole (8 miles). We are 1.5 miles to the local market along picturesque West Falmouth Harbor. Over the dunes is the most beautiful white sandy private beach. Our neighbors have 17 acres and this home is on 3 acres assuring a great deal of privacy.

We are 3rd generation in this beautiful place. It is a gift from our parents and our grandparents before them. It is our hope that it continues to hold joy for our children and their children to follow....and, of course, YOU!
Wonderful sunsets, dinners, walks, runs and bike rides. Reunions, birthdays, marriages and deaths are the celebrations we have held here. It is easy to retain the eyes of a child in this place.
