Paradise found!

We came from Florida for a summer vacation to this pearl in the Bahamas. Two families (4 adults, 4 kids-9-16yrs old) found the 5 bedroom home more than adequate. It is beatufully appointed from head to toe, decorated in a warm, classy, West Indies theme. Keep in mind this is quite secluded with the nearest town being Freeport (40 minutes). That being said, for us this was paradise. We snorkeled, fished, sunbathed to our hearts content. What a beautiful spot! The community is very tidy and is also gated. It has a nice, safe feel. There is a marina with a nice restraurant, pool, beach, free use of sail boats, kayaks and snorkeling gear (we brought our own). Food at the restuarant was very good and they even cooked the fish we caught!
More on the house:
It is almost set up as 2 separate homes (L-shaped) with the main house containing 2 bedrooms, kitchen, great rm and dining room and the guest house containing 3 bedrooms, 2 baths and a kitchenette. Both "wings" open to a large covered deck that borders the pool. As I mentioned, deocorating is very tasteful with neutral tones and comfortable furniture. The kitchen is spacious and overlooks the great room. There is also a bar top with 5 bar stools. If you have your own boat (we did not) there is very good access to the ocean and it appears that the dock would handle a 70 footer. Being on the West End of Grand Bahama Island, the access to the East Coast of Florida would be handy for boat owners
All-in-all, a wonderful place to relax and unwind. We will definitely be back!
