The location of this property is between the harbor and Capitola. A few short blocks away is Pleasure Point where the surfing spectacles are endless. Our small street is quiet and friendly and parking during the high seasons is limited to homeowners and their guests. The tasteful furnishings will make entertaining a pleasure.
A short drive down the Monterey Peninsula brings you to world class golf courses and the charming seaside towns of Carmel, Pacific Grove and Monterey. In the other direction a short drive takes you into the beautiful Santa Cruz Mountains with small towns nestled in the redwoods along the way. The world famous Santa Cruz Beach and Boardwalk are 10 minutes away and will give those who enjoy the excitement of roller coasters something to talk about back home.

We Wish We Were Still There!

My husband and I spent six days and five nights at this lovely home near the beach in Santa Cruz and had a really wonderful vacation.
The home is conveniently located close to the water (we could hear/see the ocean from the master bedroom and back deck) and to wonderful restaurants and shopping. We cooked most of our meals in the well-appointed kitchen and ate many of them on the back deck while listening to the water.
A key part of any vacation for us is being able to bring our dogs with us, and this home was wonderful for us and for the dogs. We walked all over the neighborhood, took them to the beach (their first time ever), and went into downtown Santa Cruz, which is very dog friendly.
The home itself is warm and inviting and very comfortable. We felt we had everything we needed and felt very much at home the entire time we were there. We had exactly the vacation we were hoping to have and already know that we will be making this trip an annual tradition.

My family and I stayed for four nights in August. Great location! Close to 26th ave beach as well as twin Lakes beach. House was clean, plenty of linens, all the cooking facilities and bbq. Roof top deck is a great place to getaway and relax, read, view the ocean, or take in some sun. Owners were very friendly and easy to reach. Fireplace was out of order while we were there, but other than that it was great. Reasonably priced., will definitely stay again.

A Week of Great Surfing

We had such a wonderful time at your beach house. The weather on Easter was perfect for an Easter egg hunt for the kids and brunch on the deck. Everyone loved the layout of the house and the beachy decor. The enclosed yard was perfect for the dog. The outside hot shower was great to clean up the kids after a day at the beach and to warm up after hours of surfing. Even though it rained midweek the surf was good all week and got overhead on Thursday afternoon.
The owner was very friendly and helpful, she gave us a tip to get the discount Boardwalk tickets at Costco, with the unlimited tickets the kids rode all of the rides and we saved a lot. Thanks

Had a wondefully relaxing weekend at this incredibly comfortable house a block from santa cruz's dog beach. Beds are great, chairs, couches so comfortable you dont want to leave. House floor plan perfect for family. Everything about it was relaxing and easy. Dog beach is great, mostly locals, friendly people,etc. Will definately go back!

I found the rental to be great value for the money spent. We were a block from the beach and close to many amenities in Santa Cruse and Capitola. The manager of the property was very helpful and provided great information on shopping, restaurants, etc. in the area.

This terrific home is close to everything and yet offers privacy. It really is something special. My children and I all met up to celebrate a family birthday and we had a ball! The owner and her daughter are wonderful to work with and we have already booked my birthday this summer to return!

A Pleasant Place to Spend a Weekend

This lovely home is a very pleasant place. Our kids loved it! Specifically, they loved that it was so close to the beach, that you could sit on the roof, that there was a skylight in the bedroom, and that plates and silverware were provided.
I thought the house was a good deal. The aforementioned silverware has seen better days, as have the appliances. I think we would stay here again.

Great vacation and beach house.

What a great house for a vacation, long or short. The house is clean, comfortable and very light and airy. Close to the beach, an easy walk for our older dog. The beach is lovely and the bench at the end of the street is the place to watch the sunset. Lots of deck space and places to hang out, inside or out. A very helpful family member lives close by. The kitchen is fully stocked and its great to have a washer and dryer right there. We barbequed and ate outside every night. It made for a great little family vacation. We would definitely stay there again!

great vacation house for families and pets

we rented this house for 3 nights during spring break so that we could hang out at the beach and go to the boardwalk. very family friendly house with all the amenities needed for a fun and restful beach vacation -- good size kitchen with all the appliances, great to have the washing machine and dryer, lots of towel, good size bathrooms, and very nice bedding. close to the beach, driving distance to the boardwalk, and owners who are more than helpful. the deck was great for hanging out, especially since we brought our dog. we would rent again!

We had to drag the kids out of the house...

We were here for a week, and really enjoyed it! The house is beautifully decorated - like a nice resorty sort of house should be. Everything seemed well cared for or new.
The kitchen is well stocked - there is even a waffle iron and plenty of pots and pans.
We ran the fireplace on the cold mornings and it was very pleasant and toasty.
The loft bedroom became the playroom, with the loft serving as the background to all sorts of situations.
The big front porches on the front and the back were great places to blow bubbles and unwind and spread out our shells from the beach.
The beach is really close, just around the back of the house and walking past about three houses, and you're there. A nice thing for us was that the beach allows dogs. Our dog thought he'd died and gone to heaven, and the kids loved having him there to play with in the waves.
We hosted friends from San Jose to spend a couple different days with us, there was room for the kids to play and the adults to talk. Everyone had a great time.
We look forward to coming back someday!

Owner's Response: We've always loved our beach house and are so happy to now be able to share it with others. When renters are happy, we're happy and any negative response is addressed immediately by a family member who lives 5 minutes away. Come and enjoy. This is our first entire year to manage the property ourselves for others to enjoy. We learn from and welcome constructive input to make this a successful venture for our family and yours.
