About 20 minutes outside of La Paz downtown, which is a lovely and relaxing escape from the big city.
Directly on the water with fabulous views of the city, mountains, sunsets and rises. Beautiful accommodations, comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen, kayaks available and very accommodating and knowledgable host. Next time we will stay for a month!

We found the casita a wonderful place to relax. You do need a car as it is out of town, but the distance brings quiet to this great place. The hosts were wonderful and very helpful. They respect your privacy at all times and have great recommendations for places to eat and go sightsee. They also provided plenty of information brochures, maps and books in the casita to help plan your outings.

The casita we found very clean, nicely furnished, with comfortable beds, and the kitchen was fully equipped for cooking your own meals if you choose to–we felt totally at home. The top patio/viewing deck was an excellent place to take in the view across the bay, read a book or meditate. It was especially nice for sunbathing and watching the amazing sunrises, the multitude of shorebirds and also perfect for star gazing in the night sky.

It was so wonderful to have kayaks for the guests to use, and the pool. The beach was great for nice walks especially in the morning, but not for swimming or sunbathing, you will have to drive into La Paz or up the coast for those. We enjoyed La Paz very much, the people were very friendly and we felt quite safe. Overall, we found the casita the perfect place one could go to for a retreat or getaway, when you need rest, quiet, and contemplation. It is a place we treasure in our memories and will come back to again.

We had a wonderful holiday while staying in this little house on the beach, and will definitely return. We used the kayaks to explore the quiet bay and check out other beaches nearby. There is also bocce and a great DVD and book library included in the rental. We were able to rent a car from the owners to go visit areas around La Paz and do a day trip to Todo Santos and to check out the must see beach at Balandra and Tecate. Maps and tourist information are provided in the house as well. The house and property are kid and dog friendly. I loved the quiet walks along the beach in the morning and watching the gorgeous sunsets while seeing the city lights come up across the bay. All-in-all it was the best holiday we’ve had in years.

We had great time at the casita. The place was as described and has everything you may need for a quiet getaway. The owners were very accommodating and provide good advice for trips and local customs. There is a nice booklet in the condo with all the information you may need while there, including maps of the area and the nearby places of interest. Car is a necessity as the place is about 20 min from La Paz and 45 min from Balandra - the best beach in town. The beach in front of the house is not sandy and not very pretty, but the water is shallow, worm (in July) and great for kayaking (two kayaks are provided by the owners). The house has a nice gym with basic equipment on top of the roof with spectacular views to the surrounding area. Attractions worth mentioning are the Balandra beach (45min), Espiritu Santo snorkeling/diving (whole day trip, ~$60/$120), and visit to Todos Santos (60min). We drove to the Cabos for a day trip, but you may want to consider going back and forth on Hwy 19 as Hwy 1 is boring and very windy good portion of the time. I would definitely recommend the place to friends and families.

Lovely owners, very charitable. Very clean, nicely appointed decor. Great bed, sheets. Pool is very nice, warm and clean(although right near owners entry). Wifi must be used by owners' home office. Beach is not very exciting, a back bay, dirt road in front. Front yard is dirt concrete picnic table for seating. Small patio off bedroom has comfortable chairs and a view of a cactus garden but patio shares space with washer and propane tanks. There is a view of city lights and mountains. Government facility next door. Good roads, but at least 20 minutes to town; one hour to nice beaches. All in all, one of the nicer affordable places to stay in a Paz. Extremely QUIET! Good birdwatching.

We went into town on our own and experimented with food mostly shopped at grocery store and made meals in to save money for other excursions. Mainly came to La Paz to support a animal rescue and volenteered our time.

This little house is so very comfortable and well appointed! Dhorea has thought of everything and she is a very gracious host. The only thing we did not like is that we were about a 20 minute drive from the malacon and 40 plus minutes from the good beaches...but the property itself is wonderful.
