As you enter the front door, you'll instantly be drawn in by the two stories of windows overlooking Devils Lake and Grandfather mountain. Delight in the impeccable details of the home, including hardwood floors throughout, cozy furnishings, luxury linens, and handmade rugs. Relax in the sunny livingroom, or prepare meals in the fully-stocked stainless/granite kitchen, or just outside on the gas grill. Unwind in the main-floor master, complete with 40-inch TV, sliding door to the upper deck, and a Jacuzzi tub. During the daytime, soak in the mountain culture with visits to Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls, Boone, or Blowing Rock. This is a beautiful, well appointed, well kept cabin, and above all very clean! We had such a wonderful time there! The location is perfect, an easy drive to all the best areas. This is by far the best cabin we have rented. As many reviews have stated, Jared is just great to work with, he makes staying there that much nicer.
We had a wonderful time here and would definitely visit again!

I want to thank Jared for a wonderful get-away! Beautiful home, wonderful views...Grandfather Mtn right out your window...perfect for my family of 5. We had a day skiing at Sugar and tubing at Hawk's Nest but we also enjoyed our family time in the cabin. Jared was just great to work with... there was a small issue that he delt with immediately and it did not interfere with our vacation. Would stay here again!

We saw the pictures and read the reviews and were excited to stay here. What we didn't expect was how much better it was in person. Upon entering the house our first reaction was just "wow!". It is huge, open, and everything you need for a home-away-from-home stay is there. The two-level wraparound porch with a great view offers a peaceful serenity and relaxation you just can't get in an urban setting. The lack of cell coverage was a bit troublesome at times so take your Vonage or Magic Jack with you - or just use Skype. The available WiFi is plenty for your family surfing needs.
Overall it was an amazing experience and if we get back anytime soon I will book this house again.

Great Place for Family Vacation

We came to celebrate my in-laws 40th wedding anniversary. We loved the beautiful view from the porch looking over a pond. The cabin is spacious and although there were 9 of us staying here together, there was plenty of room for us to do our own thing or to all be together in the main area for meals. Very sunny and comfortable. It was a blessing to stay at this cabin. I hope we can go again!

Came to Boone to get our daughter "installed" at Appalachian State. Staying here was the perfect launching pad for her - she loved the place, it helped her lose a little of her pre-move-in-day stress. Then my wife and I spent the rest of the weekend, reflecting and relaxing before heading home again.
The place is simply beautiful. Very comfy, welcoming, and immaculate. We had originally planned to tour the area and do some sightseeing - but instead, spent the weekend just enjoying the views from the deck, lounging in the hammock, and "hangin' out". We will definitely be trying to arrange our visits to ASU for when we can stay here!
The owner is a great guy to work with, and went out of his way to make us feel welcome. The only thing inaccurate in the listing is that the pictures just don't do the place justice.
Spend some time here - you won't be disappointed!

We had a wonderful time!!!Jared was great and very accommodating! The views are amazing!!!Words really cannot describe how amazing this cabin and the views are!!!Location is great.We had a baby raccoon on the deck Sat evening he was the entertainment for the night.Very peaceful and Relaxing.You will not be disappointed renting this cabin!!!Hope to go back soon! :)

Third Times a Charm

We just returned from our third trip to the Sprague cabin. Needless to say, we love going there. We went tubing Saturday afternoon and the drive was less than 10 minutes. The place is gorgeous, comfortable and has everything you need for your getaway. We are heading out of the country for 6 months and will be booking another weekend when we return to the states.

We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin. The owner's have gone above and beyond to make it user friendly for renters. Every detail of this cabin was carefully thought out from the lighting to the comfortable seating. Rent this cabin and you will not be sorry! It is very conveniently located for skiing, tubing, or visiting grandfather mountain, Boone and Banner Elk. I would recommend trying to find it during the day though. There was not a light left on and it made it extremely difficult to locate at night.

We really enjoyed our weekend in the Sprague cabin! There were 8 of us, plenty of room. The home is beautiful! The views were amazing, but we really didnt notice Grandfather mountain until the day we left because of all the snow we got while we were there! No complaints though! The cabin is just perfect and so comfortable to be in. The only thing we had to bring was a 4x4, food and our clothes! Jared was absolutely wonderful to work with. We got snow, snow and more snow! Kids really enjoyed it! This was our 1st time in the Sprague cabin and I can assure you we will be back! Perfect cabin in a great location. Thanks Sprague family!

Excellent Cabin

I was very anxious when we rented this property because it was our first trip to North Carolina. The property was beyond our expectations, it was clean, well maintained, in a beautiful place with astonishing views. But the best thing about this house is its owner, who did everything to make sure that we were safe and comfortable during a 3 day winter storm. We are planning on going back in summer because this place is gorgeous. Thank you Jared!!!!
