A Perfect Place to Stay in New Orleans!

Submitted: February 17, 2013 Stayed: January 2013
I stayed here with my brothers/family for the Super Bowl (2/2013) and it was, as my brother told me, "One of the best things if not THE best thing you've ever done..".
We thought it would be nice to all stay in the same place as a family instead of getting separate rooms in the same hotel. I searched several websites and ended up finding this condo. It was available and I jumped at the opportunity. It seemed perfect and I read all of the reviews ahead of my inquiry. It is above and beyond as fantastic as it seems!
The whole process from inquiry to returning the keys after our stay was made easy by Greg. He responded to all of my emails in a timely fashion and explained the process along the way. His mother, Cathy was also helpful. Greg advised me to call her before my stay with any questions/concerns since she actively maintains the condo. I did and she was great-telling me what was provided in the condo (everything you could think that you might need) and also giving me advice and directions as to where to find other items I may need while staying there. True southern hospitality personified in both Greg and Cathy.
The condo itself was breathtaking! Two stories, ample room for 6 of us and a wonderful balcony to enjoy. It was also centrally located right in the middle of the Bourbon Street action. I had read in someone's review that the pictures didn't do the place justice and I agree. It was MUCH bigger than it seems/looks in the photos. The first floor living areas are huge (big flat screen tv, full bar and great/fully- stocked kitchen) and the bedroom and bathroom on that floor were also spacious. The upstairs bedroom/bath with whirlpool tub was like it's own apartment and truly took everyone's breath away.
Not that it has anything to do with comfort level (or maybe it does!) but the decor was suited to the location-Many New Orleans' fleur-de-lis featured, wonderful artwork and antique furnishings throughout. There was also a (free) stacked washer/dryer available which we made use of before leaving.
The balcony was like it's own world. The gas lantern-style lighting fixtures and the plants made it truly feel like an outdoor extension of the home. The table/chairs out there were also nice and well-maintained.
We were all very sad to leave this condo and I truly hope that I have occasion to return. I would choose to stay here again over a hotel...It made our Super Bowl experience truly unique and memorable!

What a wonderful stay! We loved the atmosphere, the location, and especially the fabulous balcony. The condo was clean, spacious and had all the comforts of home. A true diamond in the ruff. Highly recommend this establishment for your next trip to the quarter.

The owners were great and we had no problems or issues getting the place rented. We arrived in New Orleans on May 13, and Cathy was there and she told us we didn't need to bring all the supplies we brought with us. This was a big plus because everything you need is there. The place was very clean and well maintained. The property is in a great location right off bourbon street and my favorite restaurant Oceanna Grill is right downstairs. You are in walking distance of everything. The balcony was awesome and large, I cannot say one bad thing about this home everything was just great. My wife and I celebrated our second year anniversary here and we will spend our third hopefully in this awesome home again. We had a great vacation I was so pleased with everthing and how nice and considerate the owners were. I just wish we had more time to stay in New Orleans. I would highly recommend this place to anyone going to New Orleans. This home was just great, the decor was also awesome, hotels are okay but this place is like a home and you can't beat it. Thank you so much for letting us stay in your beautiful home and we wish to rent from you next year again.

Absolutely WONDERFUL!! Anything and everything you could think of was available.
Location is perfect! Right in the heart of the French Quarter and walking distance to Bourbon Street, several restaurant's and the Mississippi River. We loved the balcony! Beautifully decorated with plants and several chairs to sit in. There was only 1 issue with the air conditioning going out, but it was fixed immediately! :) The hot tub was relaxing after walking all day long. The condo was cleaned perfectly and it was nice we did not have to do any cleaning before leaving. Can't wait to come back and visit again next year!!

The condo looked fantastic in the pictures, but after seeing it...the pictures do not do it justice! It is so beautiful and spacious. The balcony is huge! The master bed and bath are beyond huge. The condo is decorated beautifully and thoughtfully stocked.
She has plenty of extra blankets, pillows, and towels. Hair dryers and bathroom misc. The kitchen is stocked with plates, bowls, cups, silver, pots, pans, seasonings, and the ice was full on our arrival.
Cathy was great during the booking process answering all of my questions quickly. There ended up being an issue with overbooking for our first night, but Cathy was all over it and had it taken care of before we arrived in New Orleans. I was grateful that she kept the lines of communication open and let me know what was going on. It could have been nerve wracking, but Cathy was fantastic. She went out of her way to make sure we had a great stay. Thank you Cathy!!
I am already in the process of booking another stay at this amazing condo this summer. Like an earlier review said....if you stay anywhere else, it's bc this condo was booked already!

We spent the weekend in NOLA at this lovely condo celebrating my husband's 53rd birthday. We can't say enough wonderful things about this place. The condo is comfy, fully furnished, beautiful and simply perfect in every way! The balcony and views make this condo "over the top". Cathy certainly has outdone herself with providing one of the nicest places for rent in the French Quarter. We will definately be back again soon. Thank you!

Wow, that really sums up this place!! I just stayed at this condo with friends for a birthday weekend in May. The downstairs is very spacious, just looking at the pics of the living room, I was concerned about the size and comfortability.. Well upon opening the door I was shocked, it's huge. Full of great local art, and a huge television framed into the wall, plus pleanty of seating for atleast 10. The downstairs bedroom is a fair size, (I believe a kingsize bed) and the downstairs bathroom is fantastic, huge shower and plenty of space for all the essentials. The kitchen is not huge, but is well kept and has great countertops and applainces, plenty big for any length of stay. The balcony is the main focal point besides the entire upstairs, yes there is also an upstairs.. The balcony is huge, we had several friends that also stayed in N.O and stopped by. Besides the fantastic table and chairs, the large window sills serve as 4 more seats. The hanging plants were fantastic, a great touch without being in the way. Plus the large ceiling fan was perfect for warm May days. The views are ridiculous, to the left was Royal St. and on most days you could see ships rolling down the Miss. River. To the right, literally 200ft, was Bourbon St. Now to the upstairs, a gigantic bedroom with sky lights, television, an old fashion mirror and sit-down area for the ladies to get ready. 2 large closets, one being a walk-in. The upstairs bathroom is wonderful, a large jacuzzi tub, his n her sinks, a steam shower and all the space for a small army. Also sky-lights in the bath, nice stained glass window and plants for accent. The location of this condo can't be stressed enough, it is in the heart of the quarter, btw Royal n Bourbon, close enough to the action, but also couldn't hear a pin drop when the balcony doors were closed. The streetcar, French Market, Frenchmen St, Jackson Square, were all within walking distance 10-15 mins at most. Staying at this condo really enabled us to see everything in N.O. From restaurants in the garden district to great Jazz bands on Frenchmen St. We even took a quick cab to the Bayou Boogaloo. You literally need to bring yourself, clothes, and maybe do a little shopping for food. Cathy you are the best, she provided everything else. Towels, linens, pillows, cable tv, wifi, plates, cups, cooking wear, anything one could think of. I honestly can't come up with even 1 tiny complaint about this place, other than the fact that I don't own it myself...

Thank you Cathy for sharing your beautiful condo with us! We had a marvelous time -- the space was clean and beautifully decorated, and we LOVED the balcony... that became our true home away from home when we were at the condo. The space was perfect for our group of 4, and a perfect location to hop on the street cars and explore beyond the quarter. Our other friends stayed across the street at the Royal Sonesta, and that made it easy to meet-up for pre-dinner cocktails, etc. on the balcony.

The walk-up stairs won't won't work for everyone, but it was fine for our group... having a kitchen, washer dryer, and 2 bathrooms was so helpful! We look forward to staying with you again next time we are in New Orleans.

The flight of 3 stairs was a little hard on our legs, but once we opened the door to the apt it was well worth it. My mom and mother in law were amazed on what a beautiful apt it was. The master bedroom is beyond words and what a surprise the closet space and the bathrooms. The balcony was amazing. Everthing was clean and beautiful and no worries about clean towels. So glad we booked this apt instead of a hotel. We would had to have booked at least 2 hotel rooms and to make our own coffee. The apt has two tv and a coffee pot which was very important. The apt was over the Monkey Grill AMAZING HAMBURGERS. Once you shut the balcony doors the noise was not heard. I will stay here again, but have to get into shape for the stairs. Not bad, but just out of shape. The owner was amazing I phoned and emailed her because I had never done this before. She was great. I highly recommend this to everyone. I just can't shut up about this apt.

THE BEST IN NOLA!!!

Look no more. This is the best place I have ever stayed while visiting Nola, and I visit alot!! Cathy the owner can not be more wonderful. The condo has everything you need and more. There were 6 women in our group staying for 4 days to attend a Cancer benefit. We never ran out of hot water or soft plush towels. The balcony was wonderful for breakfast and afternoon Bloody Mary's. It is smack in the middlle of everything you need. We parked the car and never looked at it again until it was time to leave. Some of our favorite spots.. Nola for dinner, Napoleon's, Yo Mama's, Clover Grill, Central Market, Kerry's Irish Pub and The Funky 544. The only thing I regret is that I waited to long to book the condo for this years trip, but I won't make that mistake again. Turning 50 this year so Cathy you will be hearing from me again. Can't wait to see the new upstairs remodel. The bathroom looks Great!!
Thanks for sharing your beautiful place with us. Take care and blessings to you and your family.
