Karen and Adalbert have a lovely vacation property. everything was clean and the place was perfect. Adalbert and Karen were wonderful accommodating people and nothing was too much for them. they .were extremely helpful. Adalbert took me to the grocery store on arrival and came to pick me up. He gave me all the information I needed to get around the island. I wouldn't stay anywhere else now. this is a secret little diamond that I am not sure I want to share!! :)

We would like to thank Adelbert 7 karen for the use of there lovely house for our vacation .It was as Described a large spacious house with all the modern amenities required
The house was clean and well maintained although the shower pressure wasnt great but satisfactory
The owners were very kind and helpful booked us a taxi to and from the airport when arriving and leaving .Also on arrival took us to and from the local supermarket to buy provisions which was very helpful
There is a beautiful beach and restaurant less than 10 miutes walk from the villa the beach is perfect for sunbathing also the sea is good for snorkling . The restaurant is very good but a little expensive .the villa is also only 2 minutes from the bus stop that takes you to nassau which only costs $1.25 each unfortunatly they stop around 7pm but are availible every 10 to 15 minutes up thill then both ways Taxis are far more expensive
If going to town Stop of at Cable beach and go to theDaq shack if u like fresh fruit Daquaris they are great and far cheaper and better than in the hotels on Cable beach In Nassau for food Senor Frogs good cocktails to also /Hard Rock Cafe is good value
I would definatly go back to this villa and recommend it to anyone i knew intending to visit the island.

Very beautiful home

Me and my baby absolutely enjoyed our stay at the Westridge vacation home.Everything was like on the pictures and even more prettier in person. There were towels, blankets, a washing machine and dryer, stove, ac in every major room, like everything they said. I was expecting that maybe the owner's might have been there hand and foot with us for everything, but they were out of our heads, but one phone call with any problem , they would be there pronto. Even when we wanted to stay for an additional 2 days the owners were very kind and prompt in their decision The property location is like a 3 minute walk to the beach , near a conch salad stand as well. I must say this felt like our very first home and way much better than a hotel stay because the area is secluded and there isnt too much traffic even on the main road.
There is a nice bus either a number 10 which would carry you near downtown or a 12 B which would carry you wayyy to the end of the island to Lyford Cay where there is like a little city on its own, very adventurous for those wanting to see the island and get around.
Some cons of the place was the light fixtures need a bit of working on, and some appliances need a bit of an upgrade (i.e.the grill), also I would recommend that anyone renting be prepared to bring maybe a few extra pans for cooking especially if u do not want to do the dishes daily . But so far this place was fantastic and the owners were extremely welcoming and they would be definitely out of your way once you get settled into the home.

A little off the beaten path but super spacious

We (family of 4 with 2 small children) stayed at this property for 3 nights after spending 4 nights on Paradise Island in a small motel room.
Also, Karen drove us to get groceries the first night and we were VERY appreciative.
The unit is very clean & spacious - 2 floors and the air conditioning works very well - 1.5 baths and the upstairs bath was enormous.
We cooked several meals here and all appliances worked well and we also got take out from the Poop Deck and from Nesbitt's - wonderful, authentic food at both places.
The number 10 bus runs really close and we took that to the Sheraton where we hopped on a Majestic Tours bus - very easy and cheap to take the bus. After the tour, the tour bus driver was very accommodating and dropped us off at Nesbitt's which is one block north of this condo unit. We also took the public bus downtown one day and they also accommodated us by dropping us off at Nesbitt's.
We walked to the beach by the Poop Deck one day which is very close but there are no sidewalks so we had to walk by the highway/road which was a little precarious with 2 x 5 year old kids but we managed.
There is a park right where you catch the bus but it is filled with litter and we were a little worried about the kids getting cut by broken glass.
The bed in the master bedroom has seen better days and could probably be replaced.
But really, all in all, we had a great stay at this spacious unit and I would recommend it for those who like staying off the beaten path and away from the chaos. The kids had their own bedroom and were able to go downstairs to watch TV in the mornings and that allowed us to sleep in which was wonderful.

Fabulous!!!

I cannot say enough good things about the week we spent in this townhouse. Location Location Location - it's ideal. Far enough away from all the craziness of the city, but close enough that you can get there for a $1.25 & a quick easy bus ride.
We walked to the beach every morning & enjoyed every minute of it.
Karen & Albert are also extremely helpful & really kind. They arranged for a cab to & from the airport, helped with groceries & advice on where to go & what to do. They have an adorable daughter & made eveything so easy for us.
The house itself is very nice, with fantastic breezes & ceiling fans.
If you stay here you should be prepared for a few things: The Kitchen is stocked with most basics, but not everything - before you go to the market check it out, as we had to make extra trips for measuring spoons (we never found cups, but 16 Tablspoons = 1 cup) and a cork screw. We left both behind & hope future people will make use of them, maybe the next group will leave behind a couple of things too. Make sure you read the list of what is not included carefully & before you go to the market - better yet before you leave, as we would have brought a few items with us.
Last but not least, the mattresses are in need of replacing, as are the sofas - if you have a bad back like my husband you might want to check on this first - we tried all 3 beds! We managed fine, but had to buy extra Advil.
None of these little things have any effect on how whole heartedly we recommend staying here - I am sure everyone would have a wonderful experience like we did. I am already planning a trip back!

Excellent Vacation Townhome

Two friends and I stayed at this vacation townhome for 3 1/2 weeks, and absolutely loved this place. The price is very competitive. Check this place out if you're looking to stay somewhere that has everything that you need; including a big HD TV and blazing fast internet. For work, we needed there to be a solid connection, and I can confidently say that for the duration of 24 days, it never went out. Even many resorts cannot make this claim.
The townhome is very comfortable, well-furnished and has two very comfy sofas. The bathrooms and kitchen are very clean and the decor of the house is very modern and chic. When you are out in the hot, hot sun all day, nothing feels more refreshing than walking into a brisk air-conditioned home. Air conditioning units are in each room as well.
Property is walking distance to grocery store, Wendy's, a couple beaches, and even a basketball court next to the ocean.
Though we didn't need much assistance during our stay at their property, they were more than helpful and willing to go out of their way. They gave us a couple rides to different places, as well. When we come back to The Bahamas, we'd love to stay again.

Just returned from Nassau and a much needed vacation

Just returned from staying at this property which is very accessible to all things Nassau and quite comfortable. We had travel delays on arrival due to airline issues and very much appreciated the help provided by the owner regarding transportation from the airport and also the help getting us to the market for groceries. The home is a very spacious 2 bedroom property in a great location easy accessible to the no. 10 or no. 12 buses to and from downtown and beaches. We rented a car at the airport so that we could have flexbility in the evenings as most buses end by 6pm. Very close to the Sheraton at which a day pass can be purchased for accessing their pools and private beach. We enjoyed our Nassau vacation very much and would consider renting this home again in the future if we vacation in Nassau.

Dreamy Vacation in Beautiful Surroundings

We have stayed at Karen`s and Adalbert`s elegant townhouse from June 4th to June 10th, and what a delight it was!!! We were celebrating the anniversary of our wedding in Nassau, at Wyndham , in 2007, and we tugged along with our new addition to our family, our baby daughter.
Karen and Adalbert went out of their way to make our stay there very comfortable and at ease: they did not hesitate to offer us a ride to the grocery store to stock up on supplies, or call a cab at departure, or let us use their home computer. The whole experience was truly amazing, the owners genuinely care about their clients, and have created for us a cosy home away from home, where we could be happy and contented.
It was an ideal place for us, as we had the convenience of cooking fresh meals, relaxing in the backyard, enjoying lots of open spaces, beautifully decorated with artsy ornaments, our daughter was even able to watch her favorite channel: nick junior, to her heart`s content.
What can I say? It was perfect in every and a week felt too short; it seemed to have passed in a blink of an eye...I can`t wait to go back because we were treated very well indeed.
Everything is conveniently located, 2 minutes walk to the bus stop, 5 minutes walk to the cleaner beaches to relish the warm, white sand and the surf, and even a very close de-luxe restaurant called "The Poopdeck" with a nice beach strip in the front.
Try this elegant townhouse and you will have no regrets!!! It doesn`t even compare with the conditions and spaces offered in a hotel!
We have lovely memories of our vacation and our stay here was smooth and superb, therefore this is the only place for us in Nassau from now on.

An Amazing Stay- Best Deal in Nassau!

My wife and I stayed here for approximately 2 weeks, and we had an absolutely INCREDIBLE time! The area's location is so close to everything you'll need in Nassau. Not only that, the area is quiet and very safe. The beach is right down the road (at tops a 5 minute walk) and has some of the most clear water you'll see in Nassau. Even the locals that lived on the beach invited us to their home and also invited us to use some of their beach equipment!
The home is, by far, one of the nicest places my wife and I have ever stayed in. The living room is great, which includes a HUGE TV, a HUGE kitchen, and a GREAT dining table. Make no mistake, you will have no problem with space in these areas!
Upstairs contains the living area, and as if the space wasn't big enough, the bedrooms are very roomy as well, including a MASSIVE bathroom! If you are traveling with another couple, you will have no problems with these incredibly spacious bedrooms and bathroom.
Finally, your neighbors and the owners of this property are one of the most wonderful couples you will ever meet. Karen and Adalbert were very helpful during our stay, and I believe you will find them to be helpful in your stay as well.
The home is cozy, comfortable, and relaxing. I believe once you stay here, you will want to keep coming back. I know my wife and I will always plan to stay here when we come back to the island. The memories we made here are priceless, and I know you will NOT regret staying at this wonderful home.

Nice Townhome in a Great Location

First let me say that the only reason that I'm not giving 5 stars is that this is my first HomeAway review and I want to leave a star in reserve. I stayed here for a week with my girlfriend and we were both very happy with our choice.
It's in a great location, on the end of a short side street only about 100 meters from the ocean with wonderful white-sand beaches close by. While the beach park right at the entrance of the street is not really a swimming beach, there's a nice basketball court that's lightly used during the week. If you had a kayak or canoe you could launch from here and paddle along the coast for miles in shallow, crystal clear water. It's also the location of the bus stop.
Swimming beaches are an easy walk in either direction---about 100 meters or less to the left, and maybe 200 meters to the right. At the beach on the right there is a great restaurant called the Poop Deck (they also have a location in downtown Nassau) which will serve you on the beach and which had the best daquiris we encountered anywhere during our stay. We spent several afternoons on this beach, which felt like our own private resort.
We didn't rent a car, relying instead on the buses and an occasional taxi. It's an easy 5-minute bus ride to the big hotels just west of downtown, where you can indulge in all the watersports, beach bars, and family activities there. Another ten minutes on the bus and you're in downtown Nassau.
We had most of our evening meals at the townhome, having stocked up at the local supermarket when we arrived. It's about a kilometer away. There's also a small convenience store nearby that has some basic items and snacks. The townhome is clean and new with modern appliances. The beds are comfortable and the master bathroom is huge. We didn't watch TV much but there's a large flat screen in the living room, with cable. There are a couple of balconies on either side that were perfect for enjoying a romantic dinner for two. The kitchen cookware could use an upgrade but it's serviceable and the gas stove was a plus.
The owners are extremely nice and very accommodating; they got up to let us in when our flight was delayed and we arrived after midnight, and were always helpful. After we got back from our trip, they returned our deposit promptly. I would definitely stay here again.
