Hana Mana Hale, A home base for adventures. In the middle of great adventures. 70 minutes from Volcano National Park where over 1 million come to view the worlds most accessible active volcano each year. Further east past Volcano, is Hilo, the largest city on the island with many attractions including gardens , waterfalls, heated geothermal pools, and many great beaches. Speaking of beaches, do not forget to ask about our own local secret beach for yet another unforgettable adventure.
To the north, just 20 minutes, is Ho'okena state park/beach where many come to camp out and celebrate local events. Honaunau National Park, just a short distance further, is where the “city of refuge” is being reconstructed. Both offer great beach fun. Many Island guests have heard of the excellent snorkeling at the boat ramp area just outside the Honaunau National Park. A two person Kayak and a one person kayak are available for your adventures on the water. Snorkel gear is available for your use in the water.
Hana Mana Hale is built on a ten acre tropical eco farm. You will learn about tropical farming, what grows in Hawaii and conservation practices supported by the USDA.

Built the house from custom design in three years. Kids grew up now it is time to share our Miracle. The house is an open courtyard lighted by a large skylight. It is a salt bow style farm house with high efficiency conservation features.
The picture above is of Hannah, Ingrid, Brent, and myself. It was taken on a day we were all working together on our farm. Hannah and Ingrid are now working there way through NAU (Northern Arizona University). They are on a career path in the business world. Brent is working through High School with the help of his Dad in California.
The farm looked like a jungle when we first found it, but now it is open pasture with some very old and big mango trees. We also have wild coffee trees, papaya, banana, rose apple, a Hawaiian strawberry, and wild cherry tomato.
We built the house as a refuge and retreat for family and friends - now we are making many new friends. So much to enjoy after many adventures on the Big Island. Plenty of room - BIG house on 5 acres. Quiet, Private, in the heart of natural South Kona. Fantastic sunsets!!
Peace, Quite, Privacy, and sense of time standing still, and a solid connection with Hawaii Big Island. Plenty of room. The best Coffee. Clean living. Great weather. Killer sunsets over ocean. Camp fires. Hike/explore the farm. Hike/explore the lava flow close by. Visit our local pristine beach. Prepare local fish or steak on the WEBER grill.
We have clean air with little VOG as compared with places further north in the Kona area. Because our air is clean, we have killer views of the ocean and sunsets. You will always remember our killer views.
We have a nice breeze from the ocean that keeps us cool during the hot days. Our farm is very relaxing. We sleep so sound at night and we find ways to enjoy every day spent with each other. It is so much fun to share our treasure with others especially those who are visiting Hawaii for the first time. We enjoy the customs of Hawaii and you may see us at the airport greeting our newly arrived guests.
