We staying in Telegraph Vista for a week whilst visiting SF for a conference and absolutely loved our stay.

The apartment was spacious, modern and offered incredible views of the city and Bay. The area (North Beach) is absolutely fantastic too and we loved being short walks away from some of the best restaurants and cafes in SF.

I will be booking this apartment again and already look forward to a future stay.

A group of us rented this house while we were in SF for a conference. I found this house/townhouse to be a great relief from the standard annoyances of being in a hotel. We each had tons of our own space, and having the shared living space was just wonderful. The view is amazing, and the walk to the conference (Moscone Center) was about 20-25 minutes. I loved this as a way to get outside before being in the conference all day. Of course, restaurants are plentiful all over the city and we had an easy time finding great places to walk to. I would recommend staying in this well-kept property anytime!

Exactly as the pictures show!

We loved our stay there. We used the apartment as a home base during a conference at the Moscone center (about a 25 minute walk away, or a little shorter if you take the bus). The view out the living room window was fantastic, and was a great place to enjoy a coffee in the morning, or a glass of wine at night.

The pictures of the apartment are exactly what you'll find when you show up. Spacious, clean, and contains everything you need for your stay. There's a little grocery store/corner store just a few blocks away to pick up things for breakfast etc. and lots of restaurants within a 10-15 minute walk. We walked to both Fisherman's wharf and the financial district from here (20-25 minutes each, depending on how fast you walk), and Chinatown is only about 10 minutes way. Good location.

Definitely would reccommend to a friend. And will likely be calling him up again when it comes time for the conference next year

Amazing Location and Such a Comfortable Condo

This amazing condominium is comfortable, well-equipped and a wonderful respite from busy days touring San Francisco. The location just below Coit tower will keep you running up stairs to get great views and experience the fun of Telegraph Hill, and also be just 2 blocks to major bus routes around the city. It is quiet and charming. The condominium has spotless kitchen, state of the art bathroooms, loads of comfortable linens, sheets, and a well-equipped kitchen, and amazing views. You will wake up and fall asleep watching boats pass the Bay Bridge, and see moon and stars (fog permitting!). We loved our family stay here with 2 adults and four children.

Great place to stay

We stayed at the Telegraph Hill Penthouse for 4 nights and it was a great place...awesome views! We had 6 adults and 2 young kids (3 yr and 1 yr) with us and we were very comfortable at this place.
The place was very clean, new and well maintained and Richard, the owner, was very helpful. We had a 1 yr old with us and he quickly got us a pack-n-play so that she could sleep in it!
This property is very close to the downtown/financial district, china town, Fisherman's wharf, etc, and there are lots of dining options available within walking distance....great location!

We had rented a car and parked the car at a parking garage around 2 blocks away - for 4 nights with in/out service at any time we paid $140 for parking...not bad for SF... so if you have a car with you, you can gauge how much you will have to pay for parking.

We had a great time in SF and it was great to have a place like this to stay at. If we are back in SF we'll definitely rent this place again!!

Perfectly Delightful

A group of friends enjoyed the apartment for about a week. We exclaimed over the views, admired the furnishings, laughed as we climbed the hills in the area, approved of the convenient location and regretted that we had to leave. This apartment is perfect for a group. It was clean, well-appointed and perfectly situated in one of the world's most beautiful cities. We recommend it without qualification.

This lovely penthouse apartment in Telegraph Hill was the perfect place for our family of 6. The location is great. Walking the hills in this neighborhood may be too rigorous for some but we loved it. The apartment was very clean. This was a huge plus, as I often find myself spending the first couple hours cleaning to my satisfaction. No need to this time! The bathrooms are great -- good-sized, good water pressure, plenty of hot water, and lots of extra towels. Nice beds. Kitchen appliances are very nice. The kitchen is a bit sparsely furnished with regard to dishes, pots and pans, linens, and cleaning supplies. We cooked quite a bit so this was noticeable to us. Having a washer/dryer in the apartment allowed almost everyone in our family to get by with a carry-on bag only, saving us money on airfare. Richard was great to work with. We would definitely stay here again!

This is a stunning apartment in an excellent location in SanFran. We had a truly fantastic 9 days in the city (despite having to attend a congress half the time…). The apartment is in a lively, “happening”, but very picturesque part of the city, and yet still only a 35-40 walk to the Moscone Center (quicker with public transport or a taxi, of course). It’s absolutely ideal for anyone on business downtown, and infinitely better than a hotel (even top class ones).
When we arrived at the apartment late in the evening on the first night, the first thing we saw was the fantastic view of the bridge through the big picture window in the lounge. Absolutely awesome. And we never tired of that bridge view, with all its different appearances at different times of the day and night and in various types of weather. Sunrises were particularly exceptional. If you’re a views person, this is the place for you. (And I challenge anyone to find a place with a better view when sitting on a toilet!!)
All the details about the location and apartment, as described by Larry on 22.1.12, are absolutely spot on. The little basket of complimentary “goodies” (crisps, popcorn, etc.) and mineral water was an extremely nice touch too (and very welcome on the first jet-lagged and hungry night)! Like Larry, we too have stayed in numerous apartments around the world, and this must rate as one of the best ever. You really have the feeling you are living in SanFran, not just a tourist there. We loved the hills around the apartment, loved the quick access to the water’s edge, to the fantastic restaurants, to the shops, to whatever you wanted in fact. Went jogging along the Embarcadero to Crissy Fields, and for long bike rides around the neighbourhoods, as well as to Sausalito, Tiburon, Golden Gate Park, Lake Merced—it is a really bike-friendly city. You can lock your rental bikes away in the cellar, making them easily accessible but safe. We really and truly felt we had absolutely everything we could possibly want from this apartment. As there were only 2 of us, and it was at an off-peak period, Richard made us a very reasonable offer for the rent, and it was extremely good value for money. We can’t thank Richard enough for all he did to make our visit to SanFran as enjoyable as possible, both beforehand and during the stay itself. Nothing is too much trouble, and he responds quickly to your every last request.
So stop looking around now and just book this apartment! You won't regret it.

Gorgeous **** Telegraph Hill Penthouse

We have rented apartments in Paris, London and Venice and we found this beautifully and simply appointed apartment to be equal to the very best. We plan to stay here again and will recommend this VRBO to friends, family, and business colleagues. (We've already recommended it to friends making plans to go to the Bay Area.) It is a great value especially for business travelers who want to bring their families along or executives traveling together and minding travel budgets.

To begin, the location is perfect walking distance to the financial district, North Beach (great Italian restaurants, coffee houses, bakeries, delis), the Embarcadero (too many attractions on the piers to list and a destination for Foodies/cooks), China town (restaurants, green grocers, and a unique experience). The heart of downtown is a quick affordable bus ride or a short cab ride will get you to Union Square (World class shopping & Designer Boutiques). The Apartment itself was immaculately clean when we arrived with plenty of luxurious clean towels for each of the 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. The convenience of full size, new clothes washer and dryer located in the apartment is a plus, something not usually found in vacation rentals in our experience. The apartment's spectacular view of the Golden Gate bridge and San Francisco Bay from the living, master bedroom & kitchen cannot be matched in most luxurious & boutique hotels. If the view isn't enough there are large screen cable TVs (2), and wifi to work from.

Richard Woon who manages the property is friendly, helpful and available by cell phone at all times to assist with any needs. We've only had that kind of Concierge service in a rental apartment in Paris and Venice.

Owner's Response: I want to correct one item in the review: the apartment features views of the "San Francisco Bay Bridge" (not the Golden Gate Bridge)....still spectacular. - Richard
