My Cabin is just a few miles east of Duck Creek. There is a Private Trout Filled Pond (no Fishing License required, as you are my guest), Miles of ATV Trails, Mountain Views that will leave you breathless!!!

My Cabin is a 3 Bedroom 2 Bath beauty, placed on 1-1/2 Acres near wooded forest. It has ceiling fans in all living areas (total of 7 ceiling fans) It also has a Pellet Stove for a cozy fire, with little to no mess. It has a TV with a DVD/VHS unit, and a library of Movies. It also has a PlayStation, complete with Games, as well as a variety of Books for all ages. There is a covered patio with Hammock Chairs and outdoor furniture for your relaxation, as well as a Gas Grill for your Culinary treasures. About Doug Williams

I am a native of Las Vegas, and a semi-retired Plumbing Contractor, that has built various Supermarkets, High Rises, and Shopping Centers for the past 30 years. I have closed my 30 year old Plumbing company due to the economy, and I spend a great deal of time at my personal Cabin just down the road from this one. I enjoy meeting and talking with my various Guests, who have traveled as far away as Canada and the the Carib to stay here.

Why Doug Williams chose Duck Creek Village

I chose Swains Creek, as it is just over a 3 hour drive from my hometown of Las Vegas. Swains has all of the Beauty and Charm of Duck Creek Village, without the noise, the dust, and many of the people that feel that county roads are race tracks. I have been allowing my Friends and Family to rent this Cabin for many years, and I've yet to encounter any problems or issues.

A slice of heaven

We loved the cabin.the Bluejays are so funny to watch, as are all the Hummingbirds and chipmunks. We hiked every day, and wore the kids out. We sat around the campfire nightly, and slept like logs. The scenery and the stars were so beautiful. In our 10 years of coming to the Duck Creek area, we have never stayed at such a beautiful ( and clean) cabin. Thanks for making our stay such a memorable one. Looking forward to many returns

So much wildlife

We had such a wonderful time.we came with 2 other families and brought our atvs. We fished at the pond daily, and got several bites,but caught none :-( . We saw deer, beaver, horny toads,blue jays, squirrels, chipmunks and fox. Coming fromVegas,we were amazed that this type of wildlife as so close to home. It's very sad to be leaving, and we look forward to returning next year. Thanks for the great time, and the full moon :-)

Best experience I have had in 15 years on the mountain great cabin , lots of wildlife great fishing. I recommend this cabin to anyone who is looking in the area, Doug was great to deal with and takes care of his tenants.

Nice cabin

We stayed here for a couple of days in June and we loved it. Woke up to views of deer, a beaver and a bunch of chipmunks, the kids loved it. Good beds, good bath, good shower. Nice porch with a great view, so you can sit outside and eat or read a book. If I have to think of a downside, it's that there's no dishwasher. That's pretty much the only thing I can think of, it's a great cabin!

Perfect!!

We just got back from the cabin and I already want to return! When we drove into Vegas it was just hitting 100, headed toward 109....I was longing for the long Patio and the hours I spent sitting out watching the deer walk around the meadow in the 70 degree weather! This location is a true Gem..it is wonderful watching my son being able to run around and play outside during the summer. Thank you to Doug for the use of your cabin and making it an easy stay!!

beautiful snowshoeing

We had a lovely Thanksgiving weekend at this cozy cabin, where we stayed warm by the stove after beautiful snowshoeing treks through the woods. And then Doug helped us rig some chains to get our car out! The cabin worked great for two families with four small children. The kitchen wasn't quite fully stocked for Thanksgiving dinner, but for regular meals, it would be perfectly adequate. Lots of snowmobiles, but there were plenty of quieter places to explore if you want to get off the beaten track on your feet. Thanks for your patience and hospitality, Doug!
