Spectacular, awesome, and stunning are just some of the comments made by guests to describe the view from this totally private corner unit. D3 at Sealodge is located in the building closest to the corner edge of the bluff so you get both ocean and inlet views. With no buildings in site, it feels like you are on the edge of the bluff all by yourself. Enjoy panoramic views of whitewater waves, Kileauea lighthouse, Anini Beach and Humpback whales on their winter migration. Especially popular with honeymooners, this prime first floor end unit has 180 degree views from all windows (living, dining, lanai and bedroom). At night get lulled to sleep by the crashing waves below and in the morning enjoy spectacular sunrises and the Layton Albatross as they glide along the thermal winds from the bluff. The balmy tradewinds and the smell of plumeria and blooming flowers is the beginning of beautiful memories in paradise.
The condo is situated so that you view wonderful sunrises from all the windows. This also means that the sun passes overhead by noon so you don't have any afternoon sun coming in and heating up any of the rooms. The lanai is also sheltered just enough so you get just a gentle breeze as you sit outside and take in the magic of the scenery around you.

The condo is owned by myself, Linda Dunham, my sister Judy, my brother Ron and his wife Doreen. We originally bought the property as an investment, but we all love Hawaii and that amazing view so it will most likely stay in the family for a long time. Ron and Doreen's son Dan was married in Maui this past May but honeymooned in Princeville. It was their first stay in the condo and they immediately called to say 'please don't ever sell it, we love it!' I feel the same way as do the guests that stay there.
My sister and I went shopping for condos in 2000. In Maui we saw partial ocean views, the Big Island had some units closer to the ocean but all kind of run together off of one highway. We hit Poipu for the afternoon sun which was blazing in and heating up most of the condos also making it hard to even watch the sunset. We arrived at Sealodge and once we sat in the condo and she opened all the blinds we both went 'wow' and since luckily we were the first to view it, we said do not put the lockbox on, we want it. Some people who have stayed there have even asked us to let them know if we ever want to sell it, but I think not. The North Shore has such beautiful beaches, wonderful restaurants and a small town charm. Kauai being the 'garden isle' is so lush and tropical that it truly is paradise. In the condo, the tradewinds blowing and the sound of the waves below is so relaxing and peaceful you almost don't want to venture out.
Sealodge D3 is located on the ground floor in the building located closest to the bluff and the ocean so it is like you are all by yourselves. The lanai faces only inlet and ocean. The Hawaiian geese like to stroll by in the morning and several other species of birds are flying around or on the bluff. The tradewinds are almost always blowing and the sunrises are spectacular. In the condo the back wall is all mirror so anywhere you look you see the ocean. Nobody has ever stayed there without saying 'what a view!'.
