Venice House Rental Photos and Description
House, 3 Bedrooms, 3 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

Experience the luxury of a newer courtyard home, which has been recently updated and outfitted with an exciting private heated pool. This is a large size home with 2000 sq ft under air and with a very private courtyard, which adds another 1000 sq ft. There are 3 good sized bedrooms with 3 full baths. One of the bedrooms/baths is located in a casita, which is separated from the main house and ideal for extra guests or a second couple. The furnishings are all newer, including the high quality mattresses. The house is a Mediterranean style. It has large ceramic tile in all the common living areas. The bedrooms have hardwood floors, a rarity in Florida. There is no carpet anywhere, which makes the house extra fresh and friendly to those with allergies. There are 10 foot high ceilings and ceiling fans in all bedrooms and living room.

The house is located in Bellagio, the only private gated community on the island of Venice. The community features a large heated swimming pool, a clay tennis court, a well equipped gym, a small library and direct access to the Venetian bike path along the inter-coastal. The beautiful and un-crowded beaches of Venice are within walking distance or less than 5 min away by car. Also within walking distance is downtown Venice, which offers a charming array of restaurants, ice cream parlors and boutique stores. Parks, a golf course, a public library, an art center, a supermarket and a hospital are also located on the island and close to the house. Venice Island is truly a unique location, offering many attractions and amenities but maintaining its small-town unhurried atmosphere. It is also 30 minutes away from Sarasota, which is considered the cultural capital of Florida with world-class museums, a botanical garden, deep-sea fishing, art festivals, shopping and other attractions.

This newer Mediterranean style home was built about 10 years ago and remodeled 5 years ago. It has a wonderful courtyard layout, which incorporates a separate casita with its own bedroom and bath as well as a very private pool. The pool is heated, has spa jets, a waterfall and fiber-optic lighting system. The master bedroom is very spacious and offers his and hers walk-in closets. The master bath has both a large Jacuzzi tub and a Roman-style walk-in shower. Both the casita bedroom and the master have extra comfy king-sized beds. The third bedroom has a queen sized bed and the third bathroom has a bathtub/shower combination. The newer cherry kitchen has Corian countertops, is fully equipped and has a serving bar with stools. The kitchen has a high end gas range-oven, a fridge with filtered water and ice dispensers, a dishwasher, disposal and a reverse osmosis drinking water filter. All the typical small appliances, dishes and utensils are provided. The great room has ample seating and a flat screen TV with free cable and a DVD player. Free internet is also provided with a basic computer in the master bedroom/office and wireless available throughout the house. The house comes equipped with all required linens and towels. There is also a laundry equipped with a washer and dryer available for your use.

Zig and Sophia Hakiel are the proud owner of this home. We are a semi-retired couple and have spent most of our lives in the wonderful (but cold in the winter) city of Rochester, New York. We have three grown children and enjoy the beach (especially in Venice), boating and making and drinking wine with our friends and family.

The Owner purchased this house in 2008

We bought our home in Bellagio, since it in many ways represented the ideal winter get-away that we dreamed about for a long time. We rented a house on Venice Island for the first winter of our retirement and very quickly decided that this was a location we wanted to spend much more time in. We chose Bellagio, because it is the only newer, gated community on the Island of Venice and we love its proximity to the beach and the center of town. We chose our particular home, because it was large enough for our (our family's) needs and had the unique courtyard / pool/ casita configuration.

We think our home in Venice is the ideal winter get-away. It is located near (walking distance) the beaches of Venice and the town center. It is also located very close to Sarasota, which offers additional attractions. The house has a wonderful layout, as it is arranged around the courtyard and its (three year old) wonderful pool, which is heated and has spa jets as well as an invigorating waterfall. The great room is very large and open to the kitchen. We love sharing this house with visitors and they can stay in the very private casita, which has a bedroom with a king sized bed and its own bath. Venice is a charming town, which has a rare combination of modern amenities, closeness to metropolitan centers and unspoiled beaches and parks. We it!

Fabulous Two Month Vacation Stay

We had an absolutely fantastic two month vacation stay in this lovely luxury home ! This rental property is VERY accurately profiled in its ad and photographs, and has no flaws in our humble opinion. My wife particularly enjoyed every day of our stay spending 2 to 3 hours in its the beautiful and private heated pool that is considerably larger than the photo might suggest. Given its computer-controlled attractive waterfall feature and spa jets, she had little reason to travel the short distance to Bellagio's own handsome community pool and clubhouse/gym. We did frequently travel less than 5 minutes to Venice's serene and uncrowded beach and gulfside Sharkey's bar & restaurant. The attractions of historic downtown Venice with a broad array of quaint shops and numerous quality restaurants was equally close within five minutes drive time. The floor plan of this home is extraordinary intelligent and should suit a wide range of vacationing family sizes. Some years ago we ourselves came close to purchasing a similar home in Boca Raton that also featured a private "casita" third bedroom and bath unit off the home's central courtyard pool. We have often lamented that bad decision, and staying here only reinforced that emotion. The master bedroom's spacious & comfortable desk and executive chair, computer, and wireless broadband internet service allowed us to stay in close contact with family and friends. The deluxe Maytag Neptune washer and dryer in a separate and spacious air conditioned laundry room allowed us to accomplish that task with ease. The large and modern full-featured kitchen with complete range of stainless steel appliances and utensils was all any gourmet chef would need. The propane BBQ grill in the pool courtyard with outdoor table & chairs provided a more informal way to dine on occasion. The homeowners were a delight to deal with and very responsive to our every need. We look forward to returning often to this great rental property and highly recommend it to other Florida travelers....

Our stay in Bellagio was very nice. The home was adequately furnished and very clean. The neighbors extremely friendly and helpful and the land lord was quick to answer any questions we had. The area has much to do. I don't think we even scratched the surface. My children and two grandchildren were with us for part of the time and we appreciated the enclosed pool and the close proximity to the beach.
We would like to return and would recommend it to our friends.
