We are both 55+ from BC, Canada and stayed at this condo Jan. 31- Feb. 28, 2014. Owners were very accurate in the description of the condo contents and its appearance. It was fully stocked and spacious. The condo is in a dust corridor as told to us by one of the neighbouring owners and which we found to be true. Master bed was VERY comfortable however front room furniture was less comfortable when sitting watching t.v. in the evenings..(2014 Winter Olympics from Sochi, Russia were televised for 2 weeks each night during our stay and something we were both interested in viewing often).
Positives were its close proximity to the airport, Hwy 10, downtown Palm Springs, and lovely golf course and mountain views. Another positive is that the owners live closeby and available at a moment's notice if required. Main negative was the barking dog next door at all hours of the day and night. Unfortunately, the residents next door are owners of 2 dogs and there is little or nothing that can be done by our landlord about the barking. They did advise us to call Security if/when the dogs were barking after midnight which occurred a few times during our stay.
Because of this annoyance, unfortunately we would not rent this condo again.

We were a group of 30-something college friends, and we rented this condo because of its proximity to our friends who live in Cathedral City. The description on this site is accurate and we found the place clean and comfortable. The master suite is huge, with a very comfy mattress, and the queen bed was also comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with all the basics (spices, condiments, etc.), so we just bought perishables and did all our cooking with no trouble. The living room and the back patio were great places to hang out, and we never felt endangered by golf balls.

Although it was (seasonably) hot during our June stay, the mornings were cool and the resort was a lovely place to walk (beautiful flowers & trees, excellent views of the mountains). We especially enjoyed a ride up the Palm Springs Tramway and hiking in the mountains beyond.

The owners were prompt and helpful in their communications, and we all would wholeheartedly recommend this rental.

A comfy condo with good space for family of 4 but in a very windy area.

For the most part we enjoyed our stay at this condo. Very comfortable accommodations, comfy beds with all the kichen amenities one would need. Due to seating capacity at table(4), I would recommend no more than 4 people at one time but plenty of sleeping capacity to easily sleep 6. The only down fall is that the area tends to get all the wind and with that it can get very dusty with alot of dust/dirt getting inside. We soon realized to get the sun you had to sit at the front as the back patio on the golf course doesn't get any with the obvious risk of getting hit by golf ball. The nearest pool being very accessible from this unit but realized when we got there that they take turns heating pools (every other month) and lucked out with this one being heated during our stay. Owners providing an easy arrival and departure process. Desert Princess is a very clean and well manicured resort.

Owner's Response: While we appreciate feedback on how to make our unit a more enjoyable place to stay, we would like to clarify some of the complaints from the above review. Our unit is not in a specifically windy area. The entire valley is windy from time to time and this customer happens to have been there during an uncommonly windy month. The weather is generally quite pleasant. Additionally, our unit was was specifically selected because of it's location within the resort. There are two patios, one on each side, and throughout the day during the winter and spring, one of them is usually sunny while the other is shaded. We enjoy the choice of sitting in the sun or shade, depending on the temperature, and think you will, too. Also, the back patio of our unit faces the golf course (as do all units in Desert princess), but it is 300 yards from the tee on a par 5, and is in lower than average danger of being struck by an errant golf ball. Finally, while one pool is only a few steps from the front door, there are 3 more pools within 300 yards, and at least two of the four are heated at any given time. A pool at the temperature you like is always within a short walk.
