A Perfect Getaway

Six seniors spent 3 lovely nights at Briar Cliff this fall. The house is beautifully appointed with fine linens and a complete gourmet kitchen. Just like home. Everything was spotlessly clean and comfortable.
The lake view is beautiful, as is the property. We hated to leave. The location is so nice; quiet and private but minutes away from good, basic stores in Lewiston. The burgers at Talley's are as good as we remembered them to be.
Our homeowner was a joy to work with, and she maintains a most desireable home. We hope to return again some Autumn in the future. I highly recommend this getaway destination.

This vacation home is quiet, very comfortable, and seems so secluded. It is well-appointed and offers everything you need for relaxing or entertaining. We loved the luxurious master bedroom and bath, plus the fireplace and beautiful views of the lake. We will definitely return!

Thanksgiving Family Getaway

My family and I were anxious for a nice Thanksgiving getaway and ended up being so pleased with this property. It provided an extremely comfortable stay from the beds and linens down to the 50' television and comfortable seating while also providing an upscale atmosphere. You definitely could get lost in relaxation during your stay! We look very forward to returning during the summer months to check out the lake that was surprisingly clear with everything this house has to offer. I highly recommend this property for any type of getaway.

What a beautiful, peaceful place to stay!!! We SO enjoyed your fabulous home Pat. It was perfect other than the rainny weather we had that kept my husband from enjoying your dock to do some "quiet time" fishing. We did some color touring around the area, but my favorite time was just relaxing and enjoying your home. We definitely will be renting from you again. Couldn't ask for a more perfect place to stay.

Peaceful Retreat

We spent a great week sunning on the deck, reading on the beach, and kayaking. My husband and brother-in-law enjoyed the many golf options. The house is spacious - with two distinct seating areas. The kitchen is well-equipped and the master bath is amazing!

My sisters and I had an absolutely fabulous time at Pat's house! It was obvious to us all that there was a lot of love and care put into this house! The master bathroom and bedroom were awesome! Great job on all the tile work! Loved the peacefulness and relaxation sitting on the deck, looking at the lake and the beauty of nature surrounding the house. We were sad to leave when our week was over and we would love to come back in the future! Thanks Pat for letting us stay at your beautiful house! We had such a wonderful time!

Our family was home from California, so we wanted to take a trip somewhere private, yet with the amenities as if we were camping, without the tent. This house is just beautiful, and located on a very quiet lake. The use of the Kayaks, and pontoon paddle boat were fun for all. The owner was very helpful, and called to make sure we were having a great time. The house is just gorgeous. The attention to detail is beautiful, and couldn't imagine anything nicer. Thanks so much, for a vacation full of great memories!

My family (5 adults and 4 grandkids under the age of 11) just returned from a weeks stay at this be autiful Lake Home. We all had a wonderful time. The grandkids especially enjoyed taking the kayaks and pontoon paddleboat to the sand bar/beach on Little Wolf Lake for swimming. The kids also enjoyed fishing. The home was large and beutifully furnished. I would reccomend this home to friends and family!

Our stay was exceptional. We only had two adults and two children on this trip, so we had more room than we normally have at home. The house was beautiful with great tile work in the bathrooms and great furnishings throughout. I think my wife cried a little when she said good bye to the master bath. The lake was very peaceful through out the week. The kids really liked the kayaks and taking the pontoon over the beach area to swim. Lewiston was a quaint little town with a great ice cream place in the old downtown area. We also hiked the Buttles Road pathway that is about 3 miles north of town. It was just enough to really tire out our seven year old.
I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a great place to get away. The homeowner has put a lot of effort into taking every detail into account in her home. We can't wait to make another trip to northern Michigan.

Beautiful home with many amenitites

This home is much nicer than the typical cottage. The owner has obviously gone through every room with a lot of attention. The bathrooms have amazing tile work and the master bathroom has a beautiful shower area and air tub. We had 7 adults and 1 child and there was plenty of room for everyone. All the linens were provided, kitchen was stocked with dishes, glasses, etc. The landscaping outside is really nice especially when sitting on the spacious deck. This is an amazing house! The actual place actually was better than the pictures. It was clean and well maintained. We enjoyed the lake as it is a very quiet lake with not many boats or jet skis. We also went into Lewiston for ice cream and to eat at Tally's (great food!) The only downside for us (and it may not be for everyone) is that the water is very mucky. I thought it was a sandy beach based on the pictures but it appears that the sand has been brought in which makes for a lovely beach area but misled me into believing the water was sandy. You will not be able to swim in this area, it is so mucky that even with water shoes you will fall over. There is a lovely sand bar just a short paddle ride away. I have a 2 year old that would have loved to been able to run in the water and play.

Owner's Response: The west side of all northern Michigan lakes tend to be mucky due to the wind pattern. This is why I advise my renters to take the paddleboat across the lake to the sand bar which offers a great beach and swimming area...
