The lakehouse was absolutely gorgeous and the water was warm and clean. The house was A++ and just beautifully decorated. The loction was very private and the walking trails through the woods are fabulous. Can't rave enough about Pat's true desire to ensure that everything was up to par and that we had a great time. Thanks Pat! We truely recommend this spot for rest, relaxation, comfort and the kayaking!! In addition, Mackinaw Island isn't too far of a drive from here...a place you just have to come see!

The photos capture the excellence inside and outside of Briar Cliff. We've stayed at some other fine homes, but this one ranks at the top. There were so many amenities that make this such a comfortable place. As comfortable as home. The kids (3 boys & 1 girl) had a great time. They fished every day using the 4 person paddle boat, which they loved. The loons visited everday right in front of the house and gave they call to welcome us! This will highly be recommended to our friends and we will return summer of 2010.

We had so much fun last year (2007), we rented for two weeks (July 5-19) this year. Our children and grandchildren were able to be there for a few days and it was wonderful. Once again ALL the furnishings were first class. The setting is just beautiful for a quiet and relaxing vacation.

We have just returned home from our week at Briar Cliff, and our family had the BEST time. It was so incredibly beautiful and relaxing, and we can't wait to come back! My 5 & 3 year old loved to hang out with Mom & Dad on the kayaks, and we found everything to be so comfortable and perfect. We couldn't have asked for a better week!!

We just spent a wonderful week (July 7-14, 2007) at the Briar Cliff. We thoroughly enjoyed the house, the water setting, and the location. The house had everything you could possibly need. I actually took things that I found to be provided. The owner was readily available by telephone and answered all my questions. We are already thinking about renting for next year.

This home and property are gorgeous!! Everything in this home is brand new and decorated in excellent taste. Beds are very comfy with high quality linens!2 plasma TV's and a fireplace made for relaxing evenings. The lake is beautiful with crystal clear water and a sandy swimming area. The paddleboat is perfect for the lake and is large enough to sunbathe on. The location is very private and secluded but near a nice small town. Photos do not do this home justice. I travel for a living and am used to staying at 4-5 star hotels. Briar Cliff is highly recommended!

Absolutely beautiful! The kids loved swimming and collecting rocks and shells at the sand bar. Evenings where very relaxing around the campfire. The house was just as described. A definite recommendation!

Unmatched hospitality ... the welcome guest book gave us so many great recommendations, including the public beach nearby, the sand bar and swimming area just 'around the corner' on the lake, and terrific burgers at Talley's. The house is beautifully decorated and has every amenity for cooking, relaxing and entertaining. Our families had a wonderful time. This property is absolutely gorgeous.
