Location, Location, Location!

We stayed at Dan's condo with two adults and three girls (7-11), and this condo couldn't have worked out better. The kid's snowboard school/rentals/gondola/shops/bars/restaurants were all within 100 yards of the condo. Also, we stayed during the Spring Gruv, and we enjoyed the free concerts just off our balcony on Friday and Saturday afternoons. The girls had fun sledding (with the sled in the condo closet!) and playing in the "park" area just behind the condo, and the multiple hot tubs were a hit with everyone. The unit itself was very clean, the sleeper sofa mattress was more comfortable than most, had a great view of the resort lifts and base area, and it was more than enough room for our group of 5. Dan is very helpful and easy to work with, and I would rent from him again without reservation. Lastly, for those considering the Grand Summit, where we were originally booked, I actually think the Sundial Lodge is a slightly better location.

Very nice ski condo

We really liked this place. Nice and well-maintained. Wouldn't call it elegant but this is not what we look for in a ski lodge. Would probably give it 4.5 stars if this were an option. The building is a very short walk to the lifts. Plenty of space. A lot of nice touches that increase fun and convenience when away from home (sled in the closet, coffee filters, gift basket with lots of useful stuff, salt and pepper shakers, washer and dryer in the room, laundry soap). The owner was very attentive and available to answer questions. Checked-in with us right after we arrived to see if we needed anything. Only detractors I can think of are limited closet and drawer space but this isn't a big issue for us. If one were staying for several weeks this might be a limitation. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it highly. We had three generations staying there (grandparents, us, and a young child) and all enjoyed.

Prior to selecting this unit at the sundial I reviewed the information online with VRBO and also spoke with the property manager. I must say all of the information was accurate from the description to the photos. What a great stay for a family with top notch amenities at your fingertips not to mention the mountain right outside your condo. Nothing was lacking at the Sundial and with this unit we picked. We had ample space to relax at the end of the day as a family and our own privacy given the layout. Again from parking, skiing, relaxing in the pool, ski valet and a beautiful and well maintained condo with easy access to town and other mountains, this is the place to stay with a competitive budget. Look forward to staying there again next year no question at all.

We enjoyed another oustanding week at The Canyons! The condo location is perfect in relation to the gondola and other lifts as well as restaurants at The Canyons. We found the condo to be very clean, well stocked with fine linens and plenty of cooking tools in the kitchen. Thanks again for a wonderful week at a great condo!

We had a wonderful visit to The Canyons and loved our stay at the Sundial Lodge. Everything is nearby and the staff is amazingly helpful. Any requests are fulfilled within minutes. The condo is in wonderful condition, very clean, lovely linens and towels, modern TVs in every room and set up perfectly for two families or 8 people. We felt very comfortable there would definitely stay here again. In addition, the owner was extremely helpful with information regarding discounted lift tickets and rental equipment. There are so many places to stay at The Canyons, we are so glad we found this one!

This was my first experience on a ski resort and it was very convenient when you have little kids because the ski school was right there by the sundial. Place was clean and neat. Great first experience.

Best Place to Stay @ the Canyons!

Considering a trip to Park City/ The Canyons? Stay here! We have stayed at 3 different locations at The Canyons and this property beats them all. Location cant be beat. Walk to everything. You are at the center of shopping, dining and entertainment. Easy access to Gondola, rentals and lockers. Mountain views spectacular. Owner made our stay seamless. Anything you need during your stay is handled for you. We stayed here with 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Plenty of space. Teenagers had their own separate area. We had an amazing vacation at the Sundial. We will return and stay at this property again.

Great vacation 2011!

We have enjoyed the Canyons over the last 12 years or so. The Sundial is one of our favorite spots because of the great location (close to the new gondola)! This particular unit was great for a family of 5. Great accomodations! Easy access to elevator. Would we definetly recommend this unit and look forward to returning.

Great Stay

The unit was spotless, spacious and very comfortable. It was a lock-out unit which meant we opened one door into a foyer with lockable doors on each side leading to a large one-bedroom on one side and a studio on the other. Owner was very helpful in arranging for lift tickets and suggesting a great ski rental company that delivered and picked up right from our unit, as the Canyons seemed to only have one ski-rental company on site. Sundial Condos are very close to the lifts so it really is ski-in ski-out. The Canyons resort is still pretty new without a lot of amenites or restaurants close by but the front desk staff were very helpful and friendly and the shuttle bus system to Park City was really easy to use. Would definitely stay here again.
