Walk to town from this clean, cozy cabin
My husband and college age children walked into town every day to shop, eat, or play in the lake or river. It was great to leave the cars parked (in the garage) for the week. A trailhead for the Tahoe Rim Trail is less than 5 minutes from the house for great hiking or (advanced) mountain biking. The home is super clean and well maintained, and although the living area is not huge, it's open and well laid out. The bedrooms are each a good size with comfortable beds and quality, cozy bedding. The kitchen is small, but is well stocked with everything we needed to cook some fairly elaborate meals. The dining room table is huge and great for meals and games. The large deck and hot tub, even though on the front of the home, are very private. Having coffee outside in the morning and a glass of wine at night under the stars was fantastic. Even though this was a summer trip, this home is also set up well for winter sports, with lots of room for gear storage and changing out of wet, snowy outerwear. This home has three levels and there are small staircases so this might not work well for very the very young or physically limited. The owner was very accommodating with our dates and the staff fromTahoe Luxury Properties were really easy to work with.
