My family and I arrived at this cozy cottage on a Friday evening during a bad snow storm and oh how beautiful everything was. The cottage was warm and welcoming and the lake with the snow was amazing. We saw some people ice fishing on the lake.
We all went skiing on Saturday at Elk Mountain which was about an hour drive.
On Sunday we lit a fire in the huge fireplace, bought some buffalo cubes at the local buffalo store down the road and made a wonderful dinner and relaxed.
This place is just so charming and warm and inviting we all agreed that we need to come back again and this time for a week during the summer so we could use the lake and the boats.
The cottage was very clean and had everything you would need when staying there.
We will definitely be back again.

What a great vacation we had in this charming lakefront cottage. The scenery was beautiful, the water crystal clear, and the fishing was fantastic! Catches included muskie, perch, bass, blugill, and catfish. Oh, and a 14" Crappie (that's a big one)!!
The cottage was conveniently located to restaurants, groceries, and even an eye doctor I needed to see while there. We also found plenty of antique shops to keep us busy in the area.
But what we really enjoyed was no phone and no internet, and we never watched the television. What a way to "get away"! The cottage is amply furnished with videos, games, magazines, and books for your pleasure. We highly recommend this cottage for a relaxing vacation.

We had a amazing time at your lovely cottage! The cottage was the perfect vacation for us to take together. I just wanted a get away and the fact that there was a fireplace, spa tub and big comfy bed made it incredible! We were also happy that we could take our girls with us. (chihuahuas) My husband is more of a can't sit still kind of person, so he enjoyed the fact that there was two casinos so close by and some other sites that he could visit. The cottage was so nicely decorated and we felt so at home almost instantly. The lake view was beautiful and so calming. Thanks!

Wonderful Vacation!

We had an amazing time at the cottage! It was the perfect vacation for us. We were able to take our girls (chihuahuas) I wanted to just get away and relax and the cottage was perfect for that. The fireplace, jet tub and big comfy bed made this a vacation to remember for a long time. My husband also enjoyed the vacation because we were so close to two casinos and some attractions that he wanted to visit. So this was the perfect place for us to go on vacation together, he got to do the things he enjoyed and I got to relax and just get away from it all. The cottage was so beautifully decorated and you just instantly felt at home! I have to say 5 stars all the way! Thanks so much! The Cramer's

Two Years in a Row

We have nothing but wonderful things to say about this charming, cozy lakefront cottage. We spent several weekends there in 2010 and a full week in 2011. The backyard is wonderful for children and adults alike - with a covered back deck, hammock, and much grassy area great for games of croquet or catch! The dock is large enough to pull up a chair and read a book or go fishing (my husband caught countless fish both times there!) And the use of the paddleboat, rowboat and water trampoline is great for water-lovers! There is a lot to do within a 1-hour radius, including wineries, zoos, parks/waterfalls, and shopping. And the cottage is within walking distance to a convenient store and a few local restaurants (and an ice-cream shop - highly recommend the adoralbe $0.55 mini cone!) Kathleen was wonderful to work with and returned our security deposit in a timely fashion.

Wonderful Retreat

What first attracted us was that we could take our dog. When we walked in the door we were pleasantly surprised. the home was very neat and clean - we immediatley felt right at home. The location is great - views from the cottage are beautiful. Nice deck looking out to the lake and a great dock for fishing. We enjoyed the fire pit in the evening and caught a few catfish late at night. Fishing was good - caught a pickeral and a small mouth bronze back- that was a highlight for my husband. Overall had a wonderful time and would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing weekend. The owners were very easy to work with.

Just right for a family with 2 young kids and a large dog! The large yard and boats kept everyone happy while the sun shined, and the basement foosball and airhockey kept them busy while it rained. Walk to town made grabbing supplies easy. Plenty to do within 30 minutes. Enjoyed our week of bliss...

Quiet Vacation at Lake Ariel

This is a small but very nice and well maintained vacation cottage with a private beach. Access to the lake is very convenient. My husband and I spent there four very charming days with our two kids ages 5 and 10. We enjoyed the paddling boat and went sailing on the lake. Swimming in the lake is not recommended for small kids as the floor of the lake is bushy and rough. Bigger kids can use the water trampoline. The owner of the cottage made some very useful recommendations for excellent restaurants and shops in the area. She also returned our deposit within a short time. Overall, this is a very nice and quiet place for a very reasonable price.
