Our family needed a holiday. A get-away from the race but with all the bells and whistles.
The minute we drove in the lane we knew we had made the right choice.
The house and beautiful landscaping reflected a pride in ownership and we couldn't wait to get inside.
The interior was just as described with lovely high-end furniture, quality beds & linen, large fully -equipped kitchen and screened porch. The house was beautifully decorated without clutter. It was so clean. We began to relax immediately.
The private heated pool & spa were enjoyed by all. The pool steps were enjoyed by our young granddaughter but the design also enabled the older ones to swim laps. It was nice to have weekly pool service included. Lots of extra towels were provided.
There are so many activities available close by . Natalie & Rudy provided great suggestions from shopping to local excursions and were only a phone call away when we had question. A "shell" table is available at the house for cleaning the treasures you find on the beach. Its the special touches that made our holiday so enjoyable.
The biggest decisions we had to make during our stay ... Did we want to put ice cubes in our glass of fresh squeezed Florida orange juice? ... Did we want the foot rest up or the foot rest down while we watched TV?
Thank you Natalie & Rudy & Family for sharing your wonderful Island home with us. We left Sanibel relaxed, refreshed and kissed by the Florida sun. It was a wonderful family vacation.

5 Star Holiday
I travel globally for work and pleasure. I spend more time in hotel rooms annually than in my own home and have seen it all. From the moment we walked into this house, we knew that we had found paradise.
It is so much better than the photos on the website. For me, a comfortable holiday is in the details. This house has everything from comfortable furniture, new appliances and kitchen gadgets to a variety of coolers, shelling nets, floating recliners for the pool, tools, books and a room packed with kids toys and games.
I have allergies and visit here repeatedly because of the great consideration taken to provide a low allergen environment. I have requested scent-free detergents and cleaners and it's always there before my visits.
The beach is a short walk away on a beautiful trail. It is not uncommon to see dolphins and manatees swim close to shore. The shelling is outstanding especially in the morning. We've enjoyed fishing in the bay for redfish, and in the gulf for red snapper. The hot tub is an amazing way to end a great day of fishing.
The upper level master suite is a retreat all on it's own. Watching the sunset off the master balcony is hypnotic. The osprey dining on the perch at the back of the property is not to be missed.
I cannot write a review without mentioning Natalie's evolving botanical garden. We look forward to picking bananas and pineapple for breakfast during our next visit.

Best Holiday
This was our first time renting a home as opposed to staying at a resort for our holiday. I wish we discovered this property sooner because my husband and I had the most wonderful time. The home is well-appointed, well-decorated with all modern amenities. The property is large and exceptionally clean, the garden is gorgeous and it is a short walk to the beach.
We relied heavily on Natalie's recommendations for restaurants and attractions and were thrilled with each selection. She spent so much time getting us set on an excursion to Key West via the Key-West Express. I would highly recommend it to everyone. We rented kayaks, cycled through Ding Darling and strolled the beautiful beaches. We did not see 'Fred' but we did see the osprey and ibis in the garden. On several occasions, we saw an egret strolling casually through the gardens paths. We have so many fond memories of our holiday. THANK-YOU once again.

Dear Natalie and Family,
I'm writing to tell you how much we enjoyed the time we spent at your lovely place in Sanibel, Florida. The home was so comfortable and the accommodations were superb. I could tell that you spent much time and effort in the decorating and furnishing to make it a home away from home. Everything was in perfect condition and all in working order. The grounds were immaculate and much to be desired back at my home in Louisiana.
It is hard to believe that it was just last month that I was there and enjoying that beautiful paradise where the weather was perfect and the beach just a few steps away. How I wish I was there again.

WOW - Paradise Found
My husband and I (both seniors) have just returned from a month's stay at Rudy and Natalie's home on Sanibel Island and can hardly wait for next year so we can return. I agree with all the previous reviews - this property truly is wonderful, providing everything we could need and more. The house is really nicely furnished, and the landscaping is so well done that it creates a feeling of peace and seclusion. We enjoyed relaxing in the pool and lanai area and watching the wildlife. The bicycles provided were an added bonus and we used the many safe bicycle trails on the island as well as cycling or walking to the nearby beach.
I can't adequately describe how great this rental is except to say that we felt truly at home here. During our stay a family member back in Canada was seriously ill - the free long distance to Canada and the US was truly a boon as it enabled us to keep in constant touch. Rudy and Natalie were the perfect hosts and provided lots of information before we arrived and during our stay. They were always "on call" but left us alone to enjoy their home - and we did!!
Words can't adequately express how perfect we found this rental - I do hope you will go and see for yourself and enjoy as we did.

Rudy & Natalie's beautiful home was truly a wonderful experience for my family to enjoy. The home was immaculate and tastefully decorated to make you feel right at home. We enjoyed everything about the home and the landscaping was gorgeous and secluded. We really enjoyed the pool/jacuzzi and lanai playing cards and games each evening. The walk to the beach each day was always a pleasant one. We saw manatee playing in the bayou. Our experience was great and would enjoy very much vacationing at this destination again

We have just come back from the best holiday ever! Natalie and Rudy's house has everything that you could wish for. It is very well stocked with kitchen equipment, including a waffle maker and has lots of other very useful items including dish washer tablets. The house was clean and they provided lots of towels including ones for by the pool. The house is wonderful in every way. The air conditioning kept us cool while we watched DVDs on the big TV screen. The pool screen meant that there were never any flys to bite you while sitting on the lovely sunbeds or playing in the pool. My children particularly enjoyed the use of the blow-up lilo and rings. Best of all were the Bikes that were kept in the garage. We would cycle each day to the lovely white sand beach to collect shells, looking for Alligators from the bridge over the water, before you get to the beach. Sanibel really is paradise. The wildlife was fantastic. Who would have thought that we could be swimming in the pool while watching Osprey flying overhead and see the Gopher tortoise walk by. Will we be going back? Oh yes, I hope so. Would I recommend this property? Absolutely yes. Thank you Rudy for sharing your wonderful home with us. We had the best holiday ever.

The home owner's truly have take the time to ensure your stay will be comfortable in this residence. Sunset's at the beach, shelling, bike ridding are just some of the activity's that dissolved our days in Sanibel. Really enjoyed the pool after a day in the sun, great way to wind down under the stars. We would not look to rent anywhere else after staying here. We really enjoyed our stay in your house, which is so nice, clean, furnished very tasteful and offers everything we needed for a nice stay. And at Sanibel, which is just a perfect place to spend a holiday.
