Amazing Lanai Felt Like Living in Luxury

We had a number of friends recommend staying at Kolea and then we were overwhelmed by how many units there were to choose from. We are thrilled we chose to stay in this unit! So many of the other buildings are in the interior and look right out at another building. That just does not compare. You could see the ocean in two directions. The doors to the lanai push completely open so you literally feel like the entire living space is open air! We used the outdoor grill and of course loved having a full kitchen. It was so incredibly quiet (except for the birds) and we felt like we were living in luxury. We were a little nervous about being on the middle floor, but we never heard a peep from the neighbors.
We were also looking for something that was kid-friendly as my 1 1/2-yr old was with us. This was perfect for that! There were very few things he could get into at his height and they had sand toys, beach towels, beach chairs/umbrella, etc. all in the laundry room for our use! Having a high chair and playpen provided too was so helpful.
The private elevator is not only cool, but has a foyer where we kept the stroller and sand items. It also means you don't hear other guests coming in and out. The two larger bedrooms are at one end of the unit, and the one with twin beds is off the living room. They all have fantastic bathrooms and decor. The master has a Temper-Pedic bed and the softest sheets ever. I have a picky back and the beds were so comfortable.
We also loved being in Kolea itself - having its own private pool, kids pool, beach access, etc. and such an easy walk to the Kings and Queens Marketplaces.
This is a PERFECT place to stay - whether you have a family, or multiple couples - we couldn't recommend it more highly. The photos don’t capture how amazing this unit is. It is really beautiful and had everything we needed (soaps, detergent, spices, etc.) The only thing we realized was that 6 nights was certainly not enough!
