I was fortunate to find this rental for my month stay this spring. Marcia was a pleasure to deal with. The home was very clean, well maintained & nicely furnished. The fenced in back yard was a real piece of solitude in any already very quiet neighborhood. The location was very convienent to all locations I wanted to go.
I would stay their again & recommend to anyone!

We stayed at Marcia's cottage for 2 weeks, we wished we could have stayed all winter. It's clean and has every thing you need. The fenced back yard is great for dogs and is very private. The water front park and the Marina is only 2 blocks away. Marcia is always available and helpful, we would recommend this property to anyone.

Marcia's house worked out great for our two week stay in April 2011. The house has all the articles you need for cooking and for being comfortable. The house is well-maintained with a very private backyard. It's just a couple of minute walk to Clam Bayou where you can kayak, walk the trails, or sit on a bench and look out over the water toward St. Pete Beach. We enjoyed the laid back and friendly atmosphere in Gulfport and variety of good restaurants. Our favorites were Pegs, Neptune, and Tangelo's. We biked to downtown St. Petersburg a few times which is only 5 miles away, most of it on the Pinellas Trail, a paved bike path that goes all the way from Tarpon Springs to St. Petersburg. We also enjoyed live music in Gulfport (Isabella's) and St. Petersburg (Ringside Cafe, Garden Cafe). Fort Desoto Park is close and great for biking and kayaking not to mention a beautiful beach. A manatee swam within a foot of my kayak in the lagoon there and we watched dolphins catching fish from the fishing pier at the beach. We had a chance to golf a few times nearby at a few St. Petersburg municipal courses and elsewhere. Marcia was always quick to respond to any communications and provided helpful info on the area. All in all, we really had a fun and active stay in Gulfport.

Just want you to know we've had a great stay. We were able to bike, kayak, golf, eat out often, and walk Rex 3 times a day. Very enjoyable. I'll write more later for you to post if you'd like.. Thanks.

THE GULFPORT AREA, WITH ITS GREAT REST./BOUTIQUES, GIVES A VERY DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE OF FLORIDA, REALLY ENJOYED THE BEACH ARE, NOT BEING OVERUN WITH STUDENTS. THE OWNER WAS VERY ACCOMODATING, TO ANY REQUEST THAT WE HAD/NEEDED. HER MAINTENANCE PERSON ALSO FITS THE SAME MOULD. THE HOME WAS EXTREMELY CLEAN WITH ALL AMMENITIES YOU COULD WANT. FENCED BACK YARD WAS GREAT FOR OUR DOG, HE DID NOT NEED TO BE TIED UP. ANY ONE THAT RENTS THE PROPERTY, SHOLD BE AWARE THAT IT WILL NOT ACCOMODATE MORE THAT 2 ADULTS AND ONE SMALL CHILD. WE WOULD HAVE NO PROBLEMS RENTING THE HOME AGAIN IN THE FUTURE. A BIG THANK YOU TO THE OWNER

We have stayed here for 2 months this winter and we couldn't have asked for anything more comfortable and convenient than this. The inside is cozy and comfortable and has adorable beachy decor. There are lots of windows including a double set of sliding glass doors in the living room, for a wonderful view of the back yard. The back yard is very private with a lovely patio, table & chairs and several huge shade & fruit trees. The perfect place to relax, read or BBQ. There is a marina, yaht club and small park with walking & biking paths & fishing piers just 2 blocks away. The main street of Gulfport with numerous shops, restaurants and the Gulfport Casino (which is a restored old casino used for dances and classes) is all within about 20 blocks. There is a downtown market once a week for fresh vegetables, baked goods and more and an artwalk twice a month with local artist displaying and selling there treasures. Plus we were central to many attractions including Sunken Gardens, Sarasota's Marie Selby Botanical Gardens, The Mote Aquarium, the Florida Aquarium, Tarpon Springs and Tampa Lowery Park Zoo, just to name a few. I can't remember any vacation that we have ever enjoyed more. Try it. You'll love it!!!
