Hey my name is Paul. I moved into Hayes Valley in October of last year. After having walked through every San Francisco neighborhood to get a feel, I found Hayes has the most charm. I am originally from NYC and have been in the "Bay Area" for about 10 years now. Unmarried and living the life. Easygoing and enjoy guests.

The Owner purchased this studio in 2009

I was originally looking for a 2 bedroom apt. and was going to hold out on a purchase for 2 years. I found this place and fell in love with it. I am right dab in the middle of Hayes Valley surrounded by everything worth talking about in SF. There is a studio apartment with its own entrance that was a part of the purchase. I have remodeled it since and am not interested in renting long term as I often have guests from NYC that need accommodations. I realized that I need that I am surrounded by hotels and was referred to VRBO by friends. I just started renting through other sites since the beginning of October and have gotten some good feedback. This place is definitely a fit for this site and travelers or people just starting in SF looking for initial accommodations.

The most important thing for me is the elegance and charm. It is a melting pot of people, international art schools, theater, art galleries, museums, restaurants, extravagant civic buildings, parks, and any other entertainment. FYI tons of beautiful women and boutiques.

My girlfriend and I recently took a trip to San Francisco because we both had a little bit of time off of work. We wanted to stay in an affordable place, so when we found this listing we were very excited about the shear affordability of this location. Upon first viewing where we would be staying upon our arrival we were pleased with the area (there is an abundance of fun local shops and delicious local restaurants). We initially had an issue finding parking in the area, but it was the weekend and this area comes to life on the weekends. After a day or two of getting used to the city, parking was a breeze, and we never parked more than 2 blocks away from our front door. Once you come into the front door there is a small and corridor that could use a little work but honestly it is plenty adequate for a hallway. When you open the door to the living space you are met with a view into the fair sized kitchen. On your immediate left is the main living room with your bed and your television. There is another room off of the main room with a nice bathroom attached. We also liked to enjoy our patio when the weather was cooperating with us. Paul, the owner of this property, was away when we first arrived but had everything set up for us. Upon his return, he ventured downstairs (he lives above this apartment) to say hello. He was extremely welcoming and very nice and even invited us to a delicious New York style Italian feast. Unfortunately for us, Paul was throwing a St. Patrick's Day extravaganza on the day we were leaving so we had to miss it! To top it all off, I forgot my glasses in the apartment upon our departure and Paul kindly sent them back to me within a few days of my return home. All-in-all these accommodations were absolutely perfect, they allowed us to save a bit of money (which we used to rent car) and enjoy the bay a lot more than we would have otherwise! Thank you Paul!
