Heaven in June

Adam1966 Lexington, KY
Review Submitted: August 13, 2007 Date of Stay: June 2007
The week we spent in June 2007 at this condo was absolutley wonderful. For outdoor and nature lovers, Seabrook is the place for you. Watching the sunset while eating dinner from the back porch was awesome. Deer and fox roam the beach and dunes at dusk and can be seen easily from the back porch of the condo. Dolphins are every where and swim up very close to you while in the water ... that was really cool. The unit was clean and homey, exactly what we had wanted. There is a great market and village called Freshfields Village near the island and only a 2-3 minute drive from the condo that has a variety of stores and shops for your needs. The soda shop found in Freshfields made the best chocolate shake I have ever had.

Very nice unit with everything you need for a quiet vacation. Comfortable bed and couch. Beach and roads are great for walking, running, and biking. Fat Hen was wonderful for dinner and Freshfields is a great little development.

Seabrook is a Gem

Fantastic property, beautiful, well maintained villa with magnificent views and beach access. All in a remote natural area not overrun by hordes of sun seekers.

Two great golf courses, and a fantastic fitness center. Restaurants and shopping nearby, yet you are still away from it all! Wow!

Unbelievably Relaxing Vacation

Leann E Portland
Review Submitted: August 5, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
My husband, 3 year-old daughter and I spent the week of July 27, 2009 at Seabrook Island. Upon entering #1359 Pelican Watch , we found it to be very clean and well supplied. We were greeted by a breathtaking view of the water, a bottle of wine, and an array of travel and sight-seeing information. The beach is very close to the unit and ideal for children. We spent a couple of days in Charleston touring the Middleton Place Plantation, Charleston and Patriots Point, all of which are a short distance from Seabrook Island. Per Shirley's recommendation, my daughter and I joined the Seabrook Island Turtle Patrol assisting the baby turtles to the ocean one morning.
We had only one minor setback with the sleeper sofa. Shirley and Dennis responded immediately to rectify the problem. It was an absolute pleasure renting from them. They have truly thought of everything for this rental property.

Perfect

Kendall's Mama Raleigh, NC
Review Submitted: June 25, 2008 Date of Stay: June 2008
The first thing my husband and I noticed was that the condo only had a few rooms but everything was so well appointed that the unit felt very large. The rooms were all clean and comfortable. The deck was perfect for drinking our coffee in the morning or watching a sunset and sipping wine at night! The back porch leads to a walkway to the beach so sand never has to be tracked in, just leave everything at the door! The beach is perfect for little ones because the surf isn't rough, our one year old could go play by the water without getting knocked down. Pelican Watch is a very short walk to the pool (and an even shorter bike ride if you rent them!) We almost didn't need our car once we had groceries. Unit has all of the dishes, pots, pans etc. for cooking in. They have a nice collection of books and games. There is a book full of restaurant menus and sights to see. You feel like you're staying with someone you know... who just never happens to be around! This is the perfect QUIET getaway for busy people who need to slow it down a bit.

Amazing relaxing and peaceful vacation!

Jeska Hampstead, MD
Review Submitted: May 28, 2008 Date of Stay: August 2007
We loved staying in this villa which had everything we needed and was comfortable and so close to the beach which made toting two small children and all of our beach gear nearly effortless. We loved the included amenity card and going to the pools. The playground wasn't very nice and was somehow covered in a mass of mosquitoes but that was probably the only downside to the entire island. The island is free of traffic and feels safe and relaxing. We enjoyed going each morning to Fresh Fields to get coffee and a bagel and shop or just walk around and even some evenings hear live music. We had such a great time we didn't want to go home. This villa is well decorated, comfortable, has all of the amenities you need and is well-priced. It's in a great location on the island so the drive is very short or the walk isn't too long to go to the pools located at the swim club. You'll love staying here.

Relaxing Paradise

Second Honeymooner Boiling Springs, NC
Review Submitted: May 28, 2008 Date of Stay: May 2008
Wonderful unit -- very clean, good amenities. The location could not be better. It is right on the beach and you have beautiful sunsets every night.

Be sure to get an amenity card so that you can use the services on the island such as the different clubs and restaurants as well as if you want to golf or ride horses. Seabrook is a little out of the way, but it is an easy 20-30 minute drive to the peninsula and there are wonderful restaurants, shopping areas and especially beaches in the direct vacinity of Seabrook Island.

Owner was an absolute pleasure to deal with. We will definitely go back again.

Our Stay - 5/3-5/10, 2008

We had a great stay in your lovely and well equipped condo. The weather was great and we had some great times. John caught a 40", 18 lb. shark (among many other fishes), we visited Charleston, toured the tea plantation, and concluded our week with dinner at the Sanctuary. Your condo is so comfortable and quiet and secluded. A perfect spot for R & R. We travel extensively and this spot will definitely be on the "do again" list!
