Terrific! Exactly as described. We recognized the apartment as soon as we walked in, immediately felt at home from the pictures on this website. Very comfortable, modern appliances, clean and airy. The lively street activities were fun to watch from high up. Closing the windows cut all the noise. We cooked dinner a couple of times to save $ - kitchen small but has just enough utensils. Perfect location, tons to do nearby. Bring comfortable walking shoes as 4th floor walk up. Would definitely rent this unit again.

I stayed at the Florian in Florence from 3/9/13 to 3/16/13 and had an great experience with both the apartment and Florence. I am from the United States but my father was born in Florence, so thus I have lots of family still in town. I grew up going every summer to Florence and as I've grown older I try to visit at least every other year. By far, this has been the best experience I have had in Florence. As someone who knows Florence very well, there is NO BETTER location in the center of the city than this apartment. You can almost touch the Duomo and every single sight to see is within 5-10 minutes. The best restaurants are also located in this area, and Luca is more than helpful to give some suggestions to avoid tourist traps.
To some people, especially Americans, this apartment mean seem on the smaller side. But this is Europe, where things are different and compared to most apartments in Italy, this is in the top 1%. I am very tall (6'9), and I found I had more than enough space and comfort. The furnishings are all new and in perfect condition, everything we needed was in the kitchen, and the bathroom is also brand new and modern. Bed was very comfortable and it was nice having english channels on the flat screen TV. Also Luca was the perfect host, helping us up the stairs with our bag and always a phone call away to come help with anything. Walking up the stairs can be tough for some people, but you're in Florence! They don't do elevators here.
Overall, this is the best apartment/hotel I have ever stayed at in Florence in my 20 some odd times coming here, and would recommend this to anyone.My fiancee and I had an amazing experience, and Luca been an amazing host just made it even more perfect.

Luca is a gracious host and strives to make your visit to Florence a memorable one. He was very patient and answered all the questions we had regarding the flat but more importantly giving us the local's insider tip.

The flat was clean and nicely furnished with comfortable bedding. Although the flat was small (the photos are a good representation); however, do not let the size discourage you. Florence is a walkable city and this flat was central to everything! Duomo views and the surrounding medieval architecture makes it a surreal experience, like walking back in time or through a film set.

For those wanting more space, Luca also owns the flat next door which is spacious and also has Duomo views.

As with most flats in Italy, there are no lifts (elevators). Travel light if you can but oo not worry, Luca will graciously assist you with your luggage. Either way it'll be a thighs and buns work-out.

We had 6 nights at Luca's wonderful apartment. it was clean, private and exceptional location. Luca was a wonderful host suggesting good restaurants to eat and where to find grocery and banking needs.
He is very clear that there are stairs to climb to reach the apartment but we enjoyed the exercise and the view is amazing of the Duomo.

My girlfriend and I stayed 5 nights at this darling apartment and when they say reach out and touch the Duomo, they mean it! One of us slept in the bedroom and the other in the living area which worked out fine. Since it is right next to the Duomo, there is noise at night, butwith the windows closed and air conditioning kept it comfortable. it is perfectly located in the center of Florence and within walking distance of almost everything. I took a bus twice to get to places outside the city, but otherwise we walked everywhere. Luca, the owner, was a wealth of information. He directed us to many great places to eat and things to do. Once we called him about something and he responded immediately and was most helpful.It is very close to the huge market where we shopped for fresh food to cook as well as many other delights.....it is a whole block square big! You do get to walk up a few flights to get to the apartment, but the views were worth the walk, plus it just meant we could have more gelato. I especially enjoyed the small baloney that faced inward so it was quiet. I would highly recommend staying at this apartment!

We arrived from Sorrento to Florence and "Luca" owner of the Florian apartment greeted us with a big smile and was very helpful in helping us with the many luggage we brought with us! very friendly and speaks several languages which is a plus!! Luca explained to us all the details regarding all appliances and tips to get around this beautiful town we enjoyed so very much! I would highly recommend this place anyone i care for or love. This is a place i would like to keep a secret, but i guess i must share all good things on this earth! Luca, Thank you so much for making our stay very comfortable and for your kindness and great information on everything we needed to know about your apartment. Anyone looking at this review will have no regrets staying here and all the reviews i read were true, including now mine!! Another thing- everything from shopping groceries to restaurants, laundry machines, coffee shops are within walking distance. We are planning on coming back! Our stay was for one week...

Luca's flat is perfectly done, making efficient use of every space and adding personal touches throughout. There is a great view of the piazza from the windows. The beautiful wooden beams and exposed brick in the flat add to it's charm. It is well located in Piazza del Dumo, within walking distance to visit the museums, Ponte Vecchio, the Mercado San Lorenzo and a variety of shops. We loved our time in Florence and felt very lucky to have discovered Luca and his flat.

This apartment is so wonderful: it is very bright and in the middle of everything. My husband and I just loved the view and the people watching. We travel every year and we have just fallen in love with this place. We love it so much: it is hard to find a place as nice, I keep comparing everywhere to it. We are traveling to Spain this year so we will not be able to stay, but I was even thinking of extending our trip so we could stay. This apartment is by far the best. The only downside is that it only has the "European" clothes-dryer (a rack) and if you go in February it is hard to get your clothes to dry. We mentioned this to Luca, the owner-manager, and he got an indoor drying rack. He is vey helpful: he helped carry our luggage up the six flights, (is that a downside?--not really, it is a cool winding staircase) to giving you ideas about great places to eat and shop, and he is quite entertaining in his own right. I have stayed in Florence before and did not have as great as time as I did this time. The apartment is truly magical and sometimes we found ourselves just transfixed when looking out the windows: one looks right onto the Duomo of the beautiful Cathedral! If you want an unforgettable experience I would highly recommend it. We could walk forever in the city each day, and the trip back was always short and exciting as we would find new treasures to see and be right back in the heart of the city to go again the next day!
