This charming carriage house was built in 1867 and is attached to a main house which is included in many of Charleston's daily tours. It embodies many things Charleston stands for. Lofted ceilings, exposed brick and wood floors give way to a cozy 900 square foot hidden gem. It boasts a full kitchen and living room area equipped with a pull out couch. The carriage house includes a 'lofted' upstairs with a king size bed, walk in closet and full bathroom. Just steps outside the front door is a picturesque in ground pool, surrounded by palm trees. Easy access to historical streets, Charleston Harbor and everything downtown has to offer.
The Charleston Food and Wine Festival, Charleston Fashion Week and Picolo Spoleto are just a few of the cultural events happening year round. There is no better place to stay than this lovely loft in the perfect spot in Charleston. We absolutely loved everything about the loft, including Patches the owners cat. Beautiful inside and out, great location, clean, friendly staff, close to everything. I didn't want to leave.

I picked this property after a long search on Home Away from Home. The property has been recently renovated, very clean and has a great location. My husband and I walked everywhere is the city. We went to different locations daily. There is so much to see and do in Charleston. Great resturants, history, art. The grocery on the corner has amazing crepes for breakfast. The bed was ok, you need to be able to climb stairs, the bedroom is on the second floor. The bathroom was very clean and nicely done. We had a problem with the Internet, the manager was trying to get it fixed. It was a great place, perfect size for 2. I would recommend it to anyone going to Charleston. Very nice place, tastefully done.

Wonderful house and close to everything!

We planned a weekend girls trip to Charleston and we couldn't have asked for a better location and place! The house was in the middle of everything and walking around was so easy. Our carriage house was perfect! The owner added the perfect touches to make us feel welcome. We had fresh flowers on the foyer table and chocolates by the bed and of course access to our own pool. We would definitely recommend this house to anyone staying in Charleston.

The loft was perfect for our stay and just 1 1/2 blocks off of King St. You can walk to all of the shopping and restaurants. Very nice loft and well equipped. The pool area is a great place to relax after a day of walking the city. We would definitely stay again.

Superb location and southern charm

The Loft on Queen Street is in easy walking distance of the oldest and most charming parts of Charleston. A free trolley and several multi-star restaurants are just a block and a half away. The Loft is elegantly furnished, with a comfortable four-poster bed and a modern kitchen. Too bad we visited in January, since the pool was unheated. The weather was nice enough for us to enjoy relaxing on the patio. The owners were most helpful in responding to our requests, including prompt fixing of a hot water problem. Our one complaint is that, despite the full-service kitchen, there were no chairs or usable dining table for us to cook some of our meals.

Perfect Getaway!!

My husband and I spent a long weekend in Charleston and this was the perfect place to stay. The property was very clean and very well-maintained. The owner was extremely helpful during the entire booking process. Enjoyed meeting the owner who was very accomodating and provided information on how to get around Charleston. Shopping, restaurants and tourist activities were all within walking distance. Can't wait to return and stay here again.

I just got home from a girls weekend , staying at the loft . We loved everything about it . The loft truly is a hidden gem. Perfect location , quiet , one of the best home away bookings ever . I will absolutely stay again , in fact we requested the same weekend next year .

Easy booking process, beautiful property with comfortable amenities and we couldn't have asked for a better location. Everything we wanted was in walking distance. The neighborhood is quiet and the owner provides off-street parking for your convenience. We absolutely lived it and cannot wait to return!
