Apartment, 2 Bedrooms + Other (See Description), 1 Bath (Sleeps 4-6)
Private fully furnished 2 X bedrooms each bedroom on opposite side of the floor with 2 X Queen beds and 2 x twin beds sleeps 6 x people. The apt has also an office space,a full kitchen, cable TV, A.C. and WIFI broadband Internet connection. Towels & sheets provided. In the heart of the charming East Village located on Saint Marks place.
The apt. is also Next to SOHO, Little Italy, Chinatown and Greenwich Village. It is also 1-1/2 blocks to the following subways, the #6, N & R, which will take you midtown or uptown in ten minutes. The apt. is easy walking distance to the following well known restaurants,Cafe Orlin [ downstairs ] Cafe Mogador, Momofuku, SETAGAY among many others. The apt. is also conveniently located across the street from the Orpheum Theater where the long running production of Stomp is still playing. Lastly we are 2 blocks away from JOEPAPP'S public theatre & 6 blocks south of Union Square, Enjoy NEW YORK!!

Great stay!

This was a wonderful place to stay for a family vacation! The neighborhood was lovely, with trains within walking distance of the apartment and lots of great restaurants. I came with my husband and two kids, so it was very nice having two rooms. The apartment was sunny and clean and Haim answered any questions that we had. I will definitely be staying here on my next visit to New York!

Great place, superb location, very nice people. Apartment is large, sunny and clean. As said before the front bedroom is a little noisy but it really does not matter. I would stay here again and recommend to anyone. Thanks to all.

Really enjoyed the location and size of the apartment. It is spacious and comfortable. Location is fantastic. Lots of interesting places around and easy transport. The property was immaculately clean. The property description is accurate. The restaurant Cafe Orlin below is fantastic. Haim was wonderful and very helpful, honest and accommodating. When we asked for extra bedding his very polite son delivered it immediately. Seem like a really nice family. I would not hesitate to rent from Haim again.

I was looking for a true 2 bed in Manhattan for a long weekend with my wife and son.
Haim was easy to deal with and very flexible about timing, which was great as we had a late night flight home to Germany.
The apartment is exactly as it looks in the photos. I found it clean and everything worked.
Sure the front bedroom is a little noisy, but we chose to stay in the East Village so that's no surprise. My son slept really well in the back bedroom.
I have used HomeAway 10+ times and this is a safe rental. Enjoy.

I have only stayed at an apartment/condo vs a hotel once in the past and entered into this stay with a heavy dose of caution. That said, we more than please with the apartment and this coming from the perspective of someone who has been to NYC quite a few times in the past and there were 4 younger adults in our group.
Location: This apartment is in a great location. Upon our arrival, we were able to easily walk to a local grocer (also delivers 24/7) and liquor store. The restaurant sits on top of Cafe Orlin which was very convenient and the food was great. Right accross the street is a great coffee shop which also sells beans in batch. Very easy walking distance to the R and 6 subway lines. We never had an issue getting around town from the apartment. Also, its located in an area where hailing a cab is very quick and easy. Since its on St. Marks, there a lot of shops, eateries and bars around. This convenient location does have a cost which is the noise that comes from the streets. That said, it wasn't that much of an issue and is inevitable for apartments in livelier areas.
Actual Apt: The apartment was actually better than I expected. It was clean and everything worked. Living room was a good size although the couches are actually two small beds (which is apparent based on the picture provided) but had enough room to fit a very servicable kitchen table. Cable and wireless internet was available and worked the entire time. Bedrooms were small but big enough to leave walking room (many apts in NYC are so small that the bed touches 3 walls) and closet had plenty of room. Pillows however were a bit flimsy. Bathroom was clean and was stocked with plenty of toilet paper and towels. I didn't feel like I couldn't walk barefooted. Kitchen was very useful. Gas stove and oven, toaster, coffee maker, fridge/freezer combo, and dish washer which was useful since the kitchen also included plates, utensils as well as a few pots/pans.
Managers/Process: Haim was responsive to both calls and emails and was able to answer all of my questions. Umi, Haim's son, was waiting for us at the apartment upon our arrival and very was very helpful in giving recommendations for places to eat and drink. Payment of the balance was easy since I was able to pay by CC. That said, my only big con is that was not a formal rental agremennt.

Mostly good, needs some improvement

Positives: The location is excellent - lots of dining and interesting shopping within easy distance. The 3rd avenue L stop is a short walk away and from there you can get to anywhere. The apartment is spacious by NYC standards, and with a southern exposure it gets good sunlight. There air conditioning in the main living area of the apartment is good. It is up a single flight of stairs, which for the city I do not see as a problem at all. Although we did not really use the kitchen, its outfitted with most basic equipment and utensils that one who is vacationing and eating in occasionally would need. It even has a dishwasher, however lacks a microwave. The owner was helpful and called/met when expected.
Negatives: The back bedroom lacks an air conditioner. We did not try to open the window as it opened onto the wall of the adjacent building and the screen was not in. There was no ventilation in this room once the door was closed - it became quite hot. You can have privacy or comfort, but not both. Also, the mattress was very hard (all beds had this same hard mattress) and the sheets had little or no cotton in them, so when you perspire, they absorb nothing and are very uncomfortable. Bathroom towels are also non-absorbent. The wooden floors were very dirty from the time we entered the apartment - keep your shoes on or your feet will be filthy. I'm not sure why the $95 cleaning fee that I paid and the people before me must have paid did not include a decent mopping. The bathroom floor however appeared to be clean - maybe because it has some white tiles and it would show otherwise? The shower curtain does not go all the way down to the tub. I would say lack of these very basic comforts would keep me from coming back. They're little things, but when you're tired from a day of site-seeing, you want a comfortable place to shower and sleep - the beds were just intolerably hard. Last thing - the lighting was very dim in the bathroom, kitchen, and back room.
Most of these negatives can be resolved with a little more attention to cleaning, stronger light bulbs, and investment in cotton linens (however those mattresses have to go, or at least replace one or two with softer mattresses so people have a choice.) It would be a shame if the owner does not improve in these areas as it is really a charming apartment in a great location for a reasonable price.

Owner's Response: Thanks for your comments , its a new listing and we need to do a few adjusments for example ad microwave ( already added ), better,lighting and shower curtain ( already added ) . A few things to note ,the sheets are Hillcrest 300 thread 100% cotton , I use the same mattresses in all my listings and people like them you can check my reviews for my other listings !
The back room has already an A.C as far as the floor concerned they were mopped thoroughly and the dirt would probably have come from you walking with shoes inside the apt and bringing the luggage through ,Thanks
