My husband and I have always preferred staying in vacation rentals while traveling, but now that we have a baby, a clean, comfortable, spacious rental is a must. This rental is absolutely immaculate! From the polished concrete floors to the beautiful counters in the kitchen and the sparkling white bathroom, I had no reservations about letting my 9 month old crawl all over the place and explore his temporary home.
A vacation rental such as this far exceeds a hotel room when traveling with a baby. The exceptionally accommodating owner made sure we had all the comforts of home, including a brand new pack and play (with sheets), an infant bath tub, a high chair, and a changing table. Other thoughtful touches included a package of baby wipes in the changing table and several baby books displayed on the windowsill near the crib. It made traveling with a baby so easy! There were also locally made muffins and scones, yogurt, and even k-cups for the coffee maker (cream and sugar provided as well). It was so nice not to have to worry about running out in the morning to find a store and purchase these things on day one. The kitchen is well-equipped and we prepared several meals there.
The rental is spacious and beautiful. Having a separate bedroom where we could put our baby to sleep in the evenings so that my husband and I could enjoy the evening relaxing by the fire pit or watching tv, without having to tiptoe and whisper was wonderful. We were all so comfortable, we really didn't want to leave!
The owner and her family are fabulous people. They truly want their guests to feel at home. They are available if/when you need them, but completely respect your privacy otherwise. The rental is even nicer than the pictures demonstrate. The value of this place is incredible. My family and I love to travel and don't often visit the same place twice, but the beauty of Asheville and the comfort and ease of travel the farmhouse provides has convinced us to return this summer. This vacation rental is fantastic! It is immaculately clean and decorated with great detail. It is rare that a rental is better than the pictures but this home was. We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay and loved exploring the waterfalls nearby.

Peaceful And Sweet

Thank you for making our experience in Asheville so enjoyable. Very charming cottage with the best views. And may I add that it was just perfect for my one and three year old to run around and wear themselves out. If you are looking for peace and quiet, but in close proximity to the city, this is it! We will be back!

Loved this place. The cottage is bright, airy, and clean. The bed was comfortable with quality linens, the shower was hot, and there were lots of thoughtful touches that made us feel welcome. I can tell they put a lot of thought into making it a special place for guests. The owners live on the property, but they respected our privacy and we appreciated that. This was a perfect place to spend our anniversary. I would love to come back. Thank you for a lovely stay!

An outstanding property set in the tranquil NC hills. Gorgeous decor and furnishings as well as high-quality products, fixtures, and linens throughout. Johanna was a gracious and unobtrusive host. We loved the breakfast and snack treats and appreciated the full array of top-of-the-line kitchen equipment (blenders, Keurig, tea kettle, All-Clad/Le Creuset kitchenware, etc). The shower was a spa experience and the bed was wonderfully cozy. It was a dream spring break retreat for three grad students and a perfect home base for exploring Asheville. We did not want to leave! Highly recommended.

I would highly recommend a stay at this wonderful, refurbished farmhouse. The owners have definitely paid attention to detail in this incredibly comfortable bungalow. Everything from the tasteful decor and provided ammentities to the comfortable bed, soft sheets and towels, was thoughtfully chosen and looked after. My boyfriend and I stayed in our first night here because we enjoyed being there so much. We definitely look forward to staying again in the future! Thanks!

To sum up our experience in one word: PERFECTION. I am a huge clean freak, and this place was spotless, I really appreciated that. Not only was it clean, this apartment is beautiful and tastefully decorated. It was very apparent that Johanna put thought and care into each detail of the apartment. The sheets on the bed were so soft and comfy I felt right at home. We woke up to the beautiful sun coming in through the 3 windows right in front of the bed! These windows looked out into a forest of trees, so beautiful and peaceful to lay in bed and see this view. The apartment seems like it was just build so everything is very new and in excellent condition. My boyfriend and I spent most of our weekend in the little home because we were so comfortable! Everything we needed was there. I have traveled a lot in my life, and I have to say this was one of the most lovely spots I have stayed (and I must say I am pretty hard to please!). I will definitely stay here again the next time I visit Asheville. Thank you Johanna!

Lovely and relaxing near Asheville

What a great place! Everything was extremely clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. It looked brand new, as though no one had ever stayed there! The kitchen was stocked with yummy snacks, coffee, and all the plates/utensils/pots&pans we needed. The owners, Joanna and Jason, were awesome! They were very friendly, helpful, and informative. They gave us some great advice for food and things to do, and they responded to phone calls and texts. The property is beautiful, private, and quiet and only 15-20 minutes to anywhere in Asheville that we wanted to go. It was so great being in such a lovely country setting, and yet being so close to the city. We brought along our 5 year old daughter, and she had a BLAST playing with the owners 3, very sweet, children. She still talks about them and wanting to go back. Joanna even thought to ask what kind of toys our daughter was into, and she stocked the guesthouse with lots of fun stuff for her to play with. This place is super, and I would recommend it to anyone visiting that area! Our family hopes to visit again soon!
