Family homestead was totally and beautifully restored only 6 years ago. Gleaming hardwood floors throughout the downstairs. Two spacious bedrooms downstairs with comfortable beds and plenty of linens - one queen and one double. Large upstairs loft has two double beds and a full bath. Beautiful homemade quilts on all of the beds. There is plenty of room in the den or living areas for an air mattress (not provided).
Enjoy the beautiful garden in raised beds in the backyard and help yourself to any produce. The kitchen is fully stocked with every appliance you can think of, the cupbards are full and you are welcome to use what you need while you are staying here.
You will love relaxing in one of the outdoor seating areas to watch the brilliant Texas sunsets or enjoy the panoramic views. Use the chimenea on the patio to warm you on cool nights as you enjoy a glass of wine.
Hop on the 130 tollroad which is only 3 miles from the house, and you are quickly in Austin or at the airport without having to fight traffic.
Enjoy the many good restaurants Georgetown has to offer if you don't want to cook. Relax in front of one of the two gas log free-standing fireplaces and watch a movie or listen to music from the music collection.
The house is a great place for a family gathering or friends wanting to get away together. There is a lot of room in the yard for kids to run and play. The cows will even come right up to the fence to welcome you!
I was born in Georgetown and have been living here all my life. I married a Patterson and my husband and I lived in the house and raised our family there. The house was rented out for 15 years and I decided to return. The house was gutted to the outer walls and completely redone. It was completed April, 2006 and I love the changes!
I retired from Southwestern University several years ago and I love to garden, quilt and travel.
I am gone from home for periods and I decided to share my home with others so they, too, can enjoy the tranquility of the farm.
I love working in my garden and sharing the produce I grow. Quilting is a passion. At days end, I can sit on the back patio or in the swing in the yard and feel the stresses of the day melt away.
