The perfect vacation home

Krispy Nashville, TN
Review Submitted: April 3, 2008 Date of Stay: June 2007
This summer we will spend our fifth summer vacation at Almost Heaven on the Beach. It is absolutely the perfect vacation home! We have been going each year since our youngest was 20-months-old and she will be six this summer. The home provides everything you will need - a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable living area and spacious bedrooms with comfortable beds plenty of closet/drawer space. There is even a pack-n-play crib and high chair which we took advantage of the first couple of years and my 2-year-old nephew now uses. While preparing meals in the kitchen, you look directly out on the gulf through the huge bay window in the living area. Being directly on the beach means that we can come and go as we please and we can walk down the beach to The Beach Club when the girls want to swim in the pool. I especially love sitting on the beach-front deck that spans the back of the home and reading in the morning and after the kids have gone to bed. Nothing beats the sounds of the surf after dark! The beach is quiet and even during the heat of the summer (we go in July) you never have to worry about smacking someone with a frisbee! We enjoy the seclusion of the Fort Morgan area, but also like having plenty of options nearby when we want to get out and explore. There are lots of great restaurants and shopping just a few miles away. But back to the house - if you are looking for a great home with lots of ammenities, this is the place! We eagerly await our annual vacation and feel as if we are walking into our "second home" when we arrive.

Everything as Promised

The location is definitely right on the beach. If we weren't lounging on the beach or playing in the surf, we were watching the dolphins frolic while we sat on the deck! The house contained everything we needed from wireless internet, TV's with DVR, plates, cups, coffeemaker, towels and even games and books. We will definitely return. Maybe even bring the grandkids next time.

My husband and I recently went back to this beach house for our one year anniversary. We were married at that beach house on April 28, 2007 and it was absolutely perfect. Our time there this year was just as special and memorable. Very comfortable and stocked with everything you may or may not need. The view is to die for! Planning to go back next year!

CAN'T WAIT TO BE BACK ON THE BEACH

Our family had the most wonderful vacations summer 2005 &
2006 at Almost Heaven on the Beach in Fort Morgan.
We would not have changed a thing if we could have.
The water was beautiful, the sand white, the dolphins were out every day, the home was perfect and the pool fabulous. If not for a promise to a 5 year old to take a Disney Vacation in 2007 we would definitely be back again this year. We get sad everytime we think about missing our vacation on the beach this year. But you can bet we will book early for 2008.

We have started a tradition of unforgetable family memories
and we hope to continue them for years to come at Almost Heaven on the Beach in Fort Morgan, AL. What a special place to share with your children and grandchildren!

Hooked On Heaven

Review Submitted: September 5, 2006 Date of Stay: August 2006
My family and I have been on many beach vacations, in Florida, Hawaii, South Carolina, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Maine, etc…, but none have compared to the week we spent at Almost Heaven on the Beach on the Gulf of Mexico. This was our first and definitely not last visit to the Gulf Coast and we would definitely try to stay at this wonderful beach house again. It was everything and more than its description. The views from inside the house and, of course, the amazingly large deck, were spectacular, especially at sunset. The beach was clean and beautiful, the sand was like sugar. The house had everything we needed and more. The furnishings were comfortable and clean. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need. There were tons of beach toys and boogie boards. There were movies to enjoy when we’d had enough sun for awhile. There were games to play and books to read. And then there was also the Beach Club, which was an extra added bonus. It was only a short walk down the beach and we could enjoy a swim in the beautiful pools or a soak in one of the many hot tubs. And my kids especially loved the game room. There is no question that we would stay at Almost Heaven on the Beach again and we would highly recommend this house to everyone.

Best Vacation Ever

dshel4 Decatur, Alabama
Review Submitted: July 31, 2006 Date of Stay: March 2006
This was our best beach vacation ever. Everything was just as we had dreamed it would be from the pictures and descriptions. There was a fully equipped kitchen; comfortable and clean furnishings; spacious bedrooms; plenty of closet space for getting luggage out of sight; and an overall uncluttered atmosphere. We visited during spring break and even though the house was right on the beach all was quiet and peaceful. Privileges to the Beach Club - a two minute stroll down the beach - was an added plus, especially for my teenage daughters. We will definitely rent this one again! (Our favorite place to eat when we visit the coast is still Wolf Bay Lodge in Elberta, Alabama. It's a little bit of a drive but worth it. (Fresh fish and seafood; Very casual; Economical or pricey - depending upon what you order.)

Ideal Vacation

Review Submitted: July 30, 2006 Date of Stay: March 2006
Best vacation we've ever had! It's all about the beach, and there is nothing like being directly on the Gulf of Mexico. The house is great, with comfortable beds and everything we needed. The kids really loved The Beach Club membership. We'll be back next year!

This is the most wonderful beach home on the Alabama Gulf Coast. They had to send the sherriff out to make us leave. I offered them one of my kids to let us stay another day.
