Nehalem - Helen's Hideaway is a cute family home nestled on a quiet side street a mile south of Manzanita. Located close to crabbing, clamming and golf and only a short walk to the Nehalem Bay where you can fish the day away. You are only a mile to Manzanita's seven mile beach and 15 minutes to great shopping in Cannon Beach. This quiet area is filled with lots of wildlife, including a resident elk herd. This home is perfect for your family to enjoy a quiet beach getaway. You'll love sitting outside in the beautifully landscaped yard and read a book or watch the wildlife. Your kids can run around in the fully fenced backyard. No smoking, please. 5 night minimum in July and August.

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
I was very happy with the location.
The vacation rental was spotless.
The property manager was very helpful.
Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.

I would have given the condition of the property a 5 star rating, but the kitchen faucet was broken so cleaning up became a project of propping up the faucet and trying to find the where the hot water lived on the faucet. Other than that, the whole experience was lovely. Lots of room (much more than we needed, but a GREAT place for families and/or reunions). It was very easy to find, and the location couldn't be beat - walk to the bay, very short drive to the ocean, just great. Plus, quiet neighbors and lots of privacy. The rental process was easy and professional. Thanks for a fun stay.

Everything about the house was great except that there were a lot of family pictures on the walls which could make one feel a little uncomfortable. I would suggest removing those. Also the only clock was located in the kitchen. There were 2 other clocks but they were the wind-up kind, rather noisy in the bedroom. Clock radios in the bedrooms would be a plus (just a suggestion).
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Helen's Hideaway and will check in on doing it again next year.

Beautiful property! Enjoyed the garden & humming birds. The home is well maintained with everything you need. We were given a binder with instructions for everything, except the gas fireplace. Our stay included four 59 degree rainy days and the fireplace would have been great to use! Centrally located to Tillamook, Rockaway, Garibaldi to the south and Manzanita, Cannon Beach, and Seaside to the north. Nice relaxing home.
