What a relaxing beautiful place to stay! The views from the upper deck are amazing! The walk to the beach is just a few steps up the palm tree lined walkway! You can plant yourself on the beach and relax listening to the waves and reading a good book. It is like a deserted island no one will bother you! If you need a touch of civilization you can take a short walk to Villa Montano for some fancy drink and food, i've also enjoyed f you the exercise and walked a mile the other way to hang with the locals for some of the best Puerto Rican Mofongo and a cold beer! I enjoyed sitting/napping in the shade in the side yard after a day at the beach! I have been visiting Isabela and the Lone Palm for 5 years and look forward to my next visit!

The most amazing vacation!
The house is the perfect distance from Aguadilla Airport which was a pleasure to fly in and out of. Located on a quite dead end street, it is the perfect location for a family. The house was clean and very comfortable. The outside shower was a major plus.The beach located just a few hundred feet from the house is so beautiful and private. A walk down the beach brought us to one of the best surfing spots on the Island. We watched surfers ride 10ft plus waves while we had lunch Very casual and away from the glitz and glam of the hotel areas. Just what we needed! We did a little sight seeing but mainly relaxed on the beach. I'm looking forward to going back another again!

Everyone Needs a Week Here!
Upon my groups arrival, we were met by the property manager at 5:30 am. Talk about convenience! We flew through the night from the US, so we were concerned that we'd have some time to kill before checking-in to the Lone Palm. Thanks to the flexibility of both the owner and property manager, our concerns were laid to rest.
My group had a total of 5 people, and we chose to stay at the Upper Palm due to the spacious upper deck overlooking a desolate field as well as the ocean. We were not disappointed with our views! The Upper Palm was very spacious and very well maintained. Shacks Beach was only a few steps away, and we were able to experience some of the best snorkeling in the world! Beautiful shells, vibrant fish, and even a sea turtle accompanied us in the waters on Shacks.
Close by we found some great dining at Villa Montanta and even made the 30 minute drive down to Rincon, a popular tourist spot - especially for surfing.
Crashboat (name appropriately for the fisherman who literally crash their boats onto shore after their fishing excursion) and Playa de Jobos were also some of the other beaches we enjoyed while we were staying at the Lone Palm. We also spent a morning watching experienced surfers riding 15' swells down at Wilderness Beach, a phenomenal local gem off the beaten path.
Overall, our stay was incredibly enjoyable and relaxing. We felt safe and well taken care of. The property manager, Danny, went the extra mile to ensure that we had a fulfilling vacation.
I would definitely recommend this property, and I can't wait to visit again in the future!

Great, so peaceful...great beach and snorkeling

The house was great, so peaceful..... the concierge/ Danny was always there for us, and the guy Scott who was downstairs was so hospitable....I had never seen better snorkeling, and We walked for miles and miles on the beach...lots to do beyond relaxing. We hiked to guajataca's cave, swam at crashboat...but never needed anything...we enjoyed a sunny breakfast every morning on the peaceful terrace....Danny was so personable and attentive to anything we needed. We could not have asked for more..we will surely be back.

a perfect place
My family stayed at the lone palm in January of 2013. What a great place to stay. It really felt like home. What great owners! I cant say that enough! Their friend Danny who got us all settled in was also amazing! He gave us the full run down on food, beaches, surf, snorkeling, grocery store, bank etc. He even texted us throughout the week to make sure all was going well. Really -- where do you ever get that kimd of care? The place was perfect for our family of 6... Which included a 6 month old. Who knew traveling with a baby could be so easy! We had a lovely week at the house. So lovely that a few of us extended our stay a night. I personally couldn't stay an extra night but really really wanted to. This was one of those trips that I didn't want to end. I will definitely be back to stay at the lone palm soon... Very soon! I have already recommended it to friends and they are staying there as well!

Lone Palm Home Away from Home
This is the way to experience Puerto Rico. Isabela is the best kept secret of the area and the Lone Palm offered us a fabulous spot to relax, “unplug” and enjoy this tropical paradise.
We stayed in the 2 bedroom unit upstairs, it was impeccably clean, had lux bedding and linens and provided us with a “home away from home”. We awoke each day to a majestic sunrise that warmed the expansive upper deck. Breakfast down the road at Ola Lola’s Breakfast Club was a great way to start the day. We actually came to the Island for “work” but managed to fit in plenty of leisure. Make sure to take advantage of a late afternoon horseback ride. The beaches are the best; the privacy of Shack’s beach, steps from Lone Palm or a short trip to Crash Boat beach. We can’t wait to go back…until the next time.

Perfect Vacation
Could not have asked for a more wonderful setting to vacation in. The house is top notch, clean and up to date. Kids happy to snorkel the back yard reef, husband happy to catch surf EVERY DAY, sometimes twice :)
Great little quiet area. House is private and relaxing. We stayed downstairs and it's huge and comfortable. Constant breeze in the yard. Pictures on the website don't do it justice. We're already booked for or 2013 vacation.
