Great for families!

Five different Norwegian families in age range from 12 and up spent one glorious week at Rancho Magdalena. We self cater on our one week get together, and facilities for this was outstanding. The grounds and the main house offers so much to do our kids had trouble choosing. Prior to finalizing rental agreement we had many questions, each and everyone answered precise. The kids were put up in the guest houses, while the adults used the mainhouse as their quarters. This worked very well for our group.
We have been vacationing together for many years in Europe - always a blast. Coming to Rancho Magdalena certainly was a very good addition to our vacation memories, even though we probably will be staying in Europe the next years given the long trip from Norway. Thank you for a most memorable place and stay!

The property has everything you could possibly want. Great home for adults and children. It was clean and well stocked. The owner and staff were great to work with. We had a fabulous time.

We Love Rancho Magdalena

Our small church of 65 people stayed at the lovely Rancho Magdalena for an All-Church Retreat. It was the perfect setting with luxurious accommodations. The property was clean and the grounds were well maintained including an abundance of citrus trees. The amenities were endless and the views were gorgeous. Visiting nearby Lavender Farm was an added bonus. Additionally, the property owner and event coordinator were great to work with. The event coordinator, Maria, went well above and beyond the call of duty while we were there. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone.

Beautiful retreat in the hills

We held our corporate retreat here. It was an amazing experience. Thom was super helpful and really opened up all areas of his property to us. There was so much for our staff members to do with playing games, swimming, watching movies in the movie theater, hiking on the property etc. Inside of the property felt a bit like a museum with all of the gorgeous art that packed all the rooms.
It was the perfect weekend!

Fantastic Venue for a Celebration!

Staying at the ranch was an overwhelming amount of fun - between swimming in the pool all day, screening a movie in the professional theater, jumping on the trampoline till we were out of breath, playing in the game room, having dinner watching a beautiful sunset and singing karaoke all night - there was not a moment of boredom. My family and friends all had a wonderful time - no matter what age they were (from 1 years old to 65). Thom was extremely helpful and attentive, making sure we knew how to take full advantage of his property. The ranch was clean and there was something to look at in every corner you turned. In addition, it was really interesting to visit the MorningStar Farm next door and eat at their delicious Yellow Deli with fresh, organic produce for lunch after checking out of the ranch. My family cannot wait to return, as we feel we have only really experienced a third of what there is to experience when staying at Rancho Magdalena.

Perfect Perfect!

we are so excited to have our wedding at this most beautiful house that can sleep up to 40 people!
Thom and Maria have been so helpful with the planning. Thom is even building a new terrace
especially for the ceremony and has numerous pedastals, vases and fabulous objects one can hire as well as tables, seating and linens already included in the price. There's an enormous theater for movies and slideshows, a piano - even a trampoline! It is a fabulous party house - and it seems to have been built with that in mind. It is JUST what we were looknig for; a serene and beautiful retreat at which to celebrate over a long weekend. As soon as you see it you will fall in love with it. On our 2nd visit - we actually felt "at home".
