Beautiful Lake Highlands Home in a Great Location

We are from the Dallas area, but live overseas now. So we were very excited to find a house right on White Rock Lake. The home is just beautiful, and it seems to go on forever! It made a great base camp for us on our week home to see family. The house was quite clean and well-appointed, and if you are into cooking, the kitchen is a dream. Terri was very attentive to us throughout our whole stay, and we would definitely recommend this property to anyone, especially if you are a family. It is a big house with plenty of room to spread out and roam. Our favorite aspect of the house was location. It is centrally located to Dallas, and is a quick drive to most of the major highways. While we were there we hit some of our favorite local places - Shuck 'N Jive for oysters and cajun food, Bob's Chop House for steaks, Campisi's for Italian, and The Green Spot just down the street provided breakfast tacos more than once. We also caught Wicked at Fair Park while we were in town - it's only a 15 minute drive without ever getting on a highway!

Lovely home by the lake

The home and property are lovely. The neighborhood and setting are beautiful and beg you to be outside enjoying the multiple outdoor seating areas. The three bedrooms and in suite private baths are large and restful. The kitchen is reasonably equipped and the perfect meeting place for larger parties. Restaurants are plentiful and a fabulous botanical garden is within a few miles of the house. The homeowner processed my rental contract very quickly and was available for easy email and phone access. The in-town property manager is very professional and easy to reach---I would rent this home again when visiting Dallas.

We were really impressed with this rental. A beautiful home for a very reasonable price.

WONDERFUL stay...however, the listing said it slept 9 and really only six in beds, without sheets, blankets, pillows to make up couches for 9. Did bring sheets but we still provided our own air mattresses and pillows, blankets, etc. Would recommend and would stay again although lacking in some basic provisions. Only real complaint was that the house was really dark, but overall very nice, very comfortable, and phenomenal location. STRONGLY recommend the Dallas Arboretum just around the corner, particularly the Chihuly glass sculpture exhibit until November 3. Absolutely unbelievable. Also Hypnotic Donuts, Good 2 Go Tacos, Texas State Fair, First Monday Trade Days in Canton as well as SO many other great restaurants to choose from. Beautiful home, beautiful setting in a GREAT location easily accessible to all parts of town, DART system, downtown, Fair Park, White Rock Lake, etc. Lots of space to spread out a large group.
