I'll start with my unhappy info first since there's not much of that. We didn't get the email with the directions and lock box code so I had to call to get the information emailed to us. When we got to the unit, there wasn't a parking permit for our car and none at the information desk, although the note there said there would be. Since the note also said we could get that on Monday, we hung around until 8:30 on Monday (the sign said the office was open 7:00-1:00) but no one was there. I left a message at the number listed on the office door but no one ever called me back so I called Michelle, the concierge, and told her that we didn't have the parking permit. Since we were leaving the next day, I told her I figured it was unnecessary now anyway. Now, for the good stuff... Loved, loved, loved the view!!! From the lanai it was awesome and then you go to the salt water pool and the beach around that and sit on the little lava rock wall and the waves and water were simply mesmerizing! The first night we went down to watch the sunset which was breathtaking and a guy on one of lanais started blowing into one of those big shells just as the sun was setting! GOOSEBUMPS!!! It was AWESOME!!! We loved the convenience to downtown yet the quietness of the complex. It was so nice to have all the comforts of home and have it feel like home and not feel like some strangers house. We would definitely stay there again!

Nice place to stay. Cool pool by the breaking ocean and really nice grill out area with tables and tiki tourches. A bit far from the north end but we found very beautiful beaches in the kona area. Also close to captain cook for kayak and snorkling trips. There is a fountain that makes a dripping sound, to bad it takes away from hearing the ocean surf.

I would stay there again.

Aside from a bit of confusion finding the unit in the dark upon our arrival, this was a great unit - it was clean and well equipped, including a lot of extras like beach mats and chairs, coolers and boogie boards. The complex itself is very clean and attractive, with two pools, a great BBQ area, and a man made "beach". Sunset views were great, complete with a couple of other guests blowing on conch shells. The location was convenient, and easy to get to and from.

The appliances are worn and need updating. Could use some more plastic containers to store food in.
The bedframe needs to lose the wheels and be fixed permanently.

The condo was good, except bed and hide-a-bed was not that good. We love staying at the Casa de Emdeco for the location and facilities. Loved the extras the unit had on hand - snorkels, boards, chairs, etc. That was great!
Property Manager was good and easy to deal with for booking and payment.
