My partner and I stayed at this beautiful residence for one week. It was the most relaxing, beautiful and picture perfect place to stay. The rooms were spacious, clean and well-equipped with a lovely coastal/oriental decor. The white and pink sand beach and the crashing waves at Crane beach were a spectacular site to watch, as well as a fun challenge to swim. The staff on site were friendly, warm and helpful in taking care of our needs so we didn't have to worry about anything.
We were so happy to find this residence on this site. It was a delight connecting with Alberto and Jessica to secure their residence for the week. It was our first time renting and we would definitely do it again because they made it so easy for us - the process was secure, reliable and competitively priced. Alberto and Jessica were friendly and courteous throughout the whole process. Thanks for everything. We had a lovely stay and look forward to returning again.

Perfect Accomodations at the Crane

Thank you Alberto for renting your unit to my husband and I. We had an AMAZING time in Barbados.
The Crane is absolutely beautiful and the room was impeccable. The room and hotel is very clean, with a very comfortable king size bed and couches, and a spectacular master bathroom. Plus, we also used the fully equipped kitchen daily.
The location of your unit is perfect. It is right in the middle of the resort near all the restaurants, guest services, general store and most importantly the ocean.
The views from the room are stunning! Hanging out and sleeping with the doors and windows open allowed us to experience the wonderful ocean breeze, and listening to the ocean waves was heaven. This beach is one of the best beaches that we have ever been too, and in my opinion one of the best on the island. I now understand why people don't want to leave.
I would most definitely recommend this property to future travelers.
Again, thank you for renting out your beautiful unit to us and for being helpful throughout the entire process; it did not disappoint!

Paradise on earth

Wow......Where do I begin........It's paradise on earth. Alberto was wonderful to work with. Answered all my questions and checked in with us after our arrival to make sure everything was good. We are a little over half way through our vacation and will be very sad to leave. The staff at the Crane have been wonderful. We have enjoyed the pools as well as the beautiful "Crane Beach". We traveled with our daughter, husband and 9 month old grandson and we arrived very late and the Crane staff had the crib in our bedroom along with groceries that I had per-ordered, so we were able to sleep in and make breakfast when we got up. It's a beautiful resort with old world "flare". We hope to back again next year and of course will be checking with Alberto on his beautiful one bedroom condo. Thank you Alberto for a wonderful vacation on the beautiful island of Barbados. Also wanted to make special note that not only did we feel extremely safe but the people on Barbados are all so friendly!!!! Thank you again Mary Jo from Minnesota

Our best vacation ever!

We are a mature couple with children grown We have been going for a winter vacation in the Caribbean for many years, often to a Sandals resort or other five-star location. We had previously been on the West Coast of Barbados but had always wanted to stay at the Crane. It is heavenly! We loved every minute of our two-week stay, and you will find this suite to be perfect.
The Good:
The weather is consistent in Barbados: but at the Crane, the heat is moderated by a wonderful clean breeze. It rained a bit on a couple of days, but only for a few minutes, and there were lots of umbrellas on the beach or palapas at the pool to stay dry.
The big pool pool has many private areas, and is very clean. The pool by the spa is quiet, for adults, and the beach is unbelievable!
The restaurants are exceptional, and a couple are inexpensive. We actually enjoyed going out to a supermarket and fish markets, and making some meals in the suite. There is a general market on-site as well.
The staff are very happy and helpful. There was one off night at L"Azure restaurant
in terms of timing, but the staff were nonetheless trying to please. Any time we asked for extra towels in our room or at the pool we immediately got them, and the staff helped with all our restaurant reservations and taxi needs. You can also rent a car and have it delivered on-site.
There were no bugs or mosquitoes during our stay, 2 weeks in January, and I only got a couple of bites, from sand fleas on the beach I think: I am the type that always gets bitten but noThe view from the room is exceptional, just as pictured, so any time spent in the room is as good as time out.
There are inexpensive shuttles from the hotel to Bridgetown, and to Oistens fish fry on Friday night.
This was our first time renting through Home Away, or any nontraditional site, so I was a bit nervous. Don't be! The owners are wonderful to rent from: everything is safe and secure. You can call the Crane hotel directly on their website number to confirm your reservation. The owners even emailed us during our 2 week stay to make sure everything was going well.
If you are lucky enough to be able to rent this suite, you will find it one of the least expensive ways to enjoy the Crane!
I have nothing bad to say, because we appreciated the quiet and peaceful surroundings. However if are looking for an active place for children or teenagers, or if you are looking for a party location, the Crane is not for you!

Paradise... a 40 acre SPA

The Crane is the perfect place... the best place anywhere in the World for a vacation whose goals are Rest, Relaxation, and Rejuvenation.
If your idea for your next vacation is Run, Dash, Run, and Run some more - this residence is NOT for you.
On the other hand if you want a spectacular SPA experience without all the SPA fees:
- 40 acres of lush gardens and massive 200+ degree views of Caribbean blue waters with long ribbons of white surf breaking far offshore on the coral reef
- one of the 10 best beaches on the planet with pinky coral sand that is finer than ultra-fine instant bar sugar
- the constant surf song of the ocean meeting the rocky palisade - 7x24 music that people buy ocean CDs to replicate... included at no extra charge
- the wondrous smell of salt air and stiff breezes (except mid-summer)
- the brightest stars at night including the COMPLETE Orion over the ocean... little light pollution to dim the stars
- multiple pools sprinkled throughout the complex ... from the Great Gatsby-esque original pool to the jetted pool "in the ruins"
- AND daily maid service to manage any sand you tracked in and to finish up any dishes you didn't wash or get into the dishwasher.
Yes - there is a spa at The Crane and you can buy traditional "spa services". Just living at The Crane, though, is a spa experience; there is no need to gild the lily.
Done Right - after a few days in this unit - you no longer know what day of the week it is - how long you have been in residence - or anything except the sense that you are living in Paradise with a new sense of inner peace and calm.
Helpful hints - 1) Direct your cab from the airport to stop at Emerald City supermarket on your way to The Crane and buy groceries. 2) Most nights, the 1887 Bar has 2 for 1 Happy Hour 5:30 to 6:30 3) Resist the temptation to leave The Crane other than to walk to Cutters... chill and relax. 4) Make sure you have at least 1 waffle cone while you are at The Crane. 5) The General Store (including special orders) is super if you have already gone to the supermarket en route.
I cannot wait to be back at The Crane !!! Cheers !!!

This was our first time renting directly from an owner - we generally go with an "all inclusive" style vacation and we have travelled extensively over the past 10 years...never again! Having a private residence is a far better way to travel. The owner was amazing to deal with and went out of their way to ensure that all went smoothly...they are trustworthy and diligent people. From the moment we arrived we received astounding service from the resort staff. Our unit was impeccable (the photos do not do it justice) and extremely well located (close to everything). There was a small issue with the ice maker on the fridge and it was repaired immediately. We did not expect room cleaning every day given the washer/dryer in the suite – but the maid came every day and re-stocked with fresh towels etc. The amenities are excellent with a general store right on the property which sells grocery/sundry items. We loved the full kitchen and cooked our breakfast/lunches in our suite. Dinners out were fabulous…we ate at all of the restaurants on the property several times and thoroughly enjoyed every meal. The gym is well equipped and clean – and all of the equipment was in excellent working order. Guest services were very helpful recommending a few excursions for us that were very enjoyable. The beach was a 10/10 and the swimming was marvellous. Suggest walking along the beach - up and around to the next side – go through the cave and marvel at the secluded beach among the rocks…breathtaking. Recommend the “Pad Tai” at Zen Restaurant and if you catch a fish on a deep sea fishing excursion…take it to L’Azure Restaurant…they prepare your fish for you and it is just divine!

stunning property !!

We visited this property with my Husband and our infant daughter. The suite is beautiful , very tastefully decorated and incredibly spacious ( over 1000 sq ft). This was pretty much the best suite we have seen on such resorts. The suite is also located in the building closest to the absolutely stunning Crane beach !!. The staff is attentive and very welcoming. The resort is very family friendly, not overcrowded and leaves a very tranquil impression.We preferred to eat in most of the time. The grocery store is nearby and there is also delivery available. Out of four restaurants on the resort I would recommend D' Onofrios and the Carriage House .The other two were overpriced and not impressive . In general we felt lucky to find this gem. The owners were a pleasure to deal with and we are definitely planning to visit again . Would recommend this to anyone.
