Coming to San Francisco for business or pleasure? Enjoy this home which is a restored 1926 Craftsman style 2 unit condominium building with 2 bedrooms, 2 full baths, modern kitchen (dishwasher, garbage disposal, gas stove, large refrigerator) and lots of sunlight and views atop Potrero Hill in a quite neighborhood. The building is within two blocks of multiple city bus lines and convenient to all neighborhood areas of San Francisco. Street parking is plentiful. A beautiful garden is shared with the unit next door. The unit is equipped with cable TV,DVD player and wireless high speed internet. A modern kitchen is stocked with dishes and cooking utensils. Bath towels and bed linens are provided along with a weekly cleaning service for stays of 7 nights or more. The unit has its own washer and dryer in the building's garage.

The building owners live next door and are readily available to provide assistance whenever requested. The unit easily sleeps four. A three night minimum is required. This is a perfect home style vacation or business rental.

About The Owner

The owners are a 60 year old public health official and his partner who is a chef. Both work long hours at our professions and tending the garden. We are respectful of tenant's privacy and available to assist in any way when requested.

The Owner purchased this condo in 1998
Why The Owner chose San Francisco

This condo unit was purchased when it became available for sale from the former owner. The current owners live in the unit next door. They take great care with their two condo building. One is the owner's residence and the other is a rental unit. This makes it very convenient to serve the needs of the renter. The neighborhood is friendly, quiet, warm and sunny. Its like a little town with a great view of a wonderful big city.

What makes this condo unique

The unit is conveniently located within 2 blocks of multiple city bus lines. The unit is on sunny Potrero Hill and warmer and sunnier than many parts of San Francisco. For drivers there is plenty of street parking available. The unit is very sunny, clean, modern and affords beautiful views of San Francisco. It is a 10 minute walk to the Mission District to the west, and a 10 minute walk to the Potrero Hill neighborhood restaurant and shopping area.

Very Nice Place to Stay in San Francisco

We stayed in this very nice condo for 8 nights in May 2013. I read all of the reviews and was really impressed. The condo was just as advertised by the owners as well as the reviewers. The condo was very clean and comfortable. The view from the rooms was really beautiful. Mark and Alfredo were wonderful hosts and were very helpful answering any questions that we had. The backyard was also wonderfully decorated with plants and birds in a cage. You can also sit comfortably in the shade and enjoy the view. They also had cable TV with almost all of the premium channels included and well as internet. They also allow you to wash clothes and they supply the detergent etc. The rate for this unit is also very reasonable for San Francisco. The unit was perfect for 2 couples. I would certainly recommend this unit and I feel that you will enjoy your stay.

GREAT LOCATION! CUTE AND COZY PLACE!

I loved the potrero hill home! The owners were very nice and they are right next door if you need anything. We rented a car and there was always a parking spot right in front of the house available. The location is great. The home was very clean and has a beautiful view from the downstairs master bedroom. I would definitely come back and stay here again. Thank you Mark & Alfredo!

Nice location close to bus stop. Owners very helpful. Grocery stores close - be sure to find Safeway. Great for two couples. Well appropriated. Comfortable. Garden beautiful. Enjoyed the birds. Highly recommend and we would return.

Delightful Stay

Wanting to give our Norwegian cousins a taste of everything American, we rented Mark and Alfredo's condo for our 5 night stay in San Francisco. The condo was everything as advertised. We were delighted! It is a lovely well-appointed space; we all had enough room for privacy; the kitchen was escpecially well equipped, the neighbors were friendly and of couse, Mark and Alfredo were exceptional hosts welcoming us warmly, provinding information and then leaving us alone. After working in S.F. for over 26 years and living in the Bay Area, it is so nice to come and "live like a native"in San Francisco - if even for a few days. Mark even taught us how to use the MUNI bus system - a great way to get around without spending a fortune on parking. We all highly recommend this lovely condo in a quiet, residential neighborhood.

The condo and garden exceptional. The owner extremely helpful.
Very quiet, clean and property well maintained.
Try Dosa, Lolo's for dinner. Close to Mission District. An approximately 15 minute walk to BART, downhill to BART, uphill to condo.
Will definitely recommend this property for a lovely stay in SF.

Our stay on Potrero hill was outstanding! The house was immaculate and very comfortably furnished. Our hosts were charming and helpful--without being intrusive. We stayed for a month and had probably the best time ever (we rent every Feb.).

Rainy weekend in SF

We loved our stay at this wonderful home during a 3 day rainy weekend. The 2 master bedrooms and bathrooms were perfect for two couples. We have rented VRBO homes in various locations in SF and this home has to be one of our favorites. It was close to most everything in SF, the home was immaculate, the beds and sheets were 5 star, and the owners could not have been nicer. We cannot wait to return for some early season Giants games. Do not hesitate to rent this home. You will not be disappointed.

family vacation

We got there late afternoon Thanksgiving day and after unpacking as we were going out for a walk Mark & Al insisted my husband and I come in and share their just out of the oven turkey dinner. It was very touching and truly in the spirit of the day, we both thank you!!!! The kitchen was great, the view at night was fantastic and it only took us 10-15 min. to get downtown. The house is great, especially with one bedroom upstairs and one down. The sizes really make them suites. It was surprising to see a large and very inviting backyard. We would stay there again for sure and the owners were fantastic!!!!

Wonderful Place to Stay--Great Landlords

I had a conference in San Francisco in October. I wanted to go a little early but did not want to stay in a hotel. I have had wonderful experiences with VRBO before so decided to look there for a place to stay. I found this property. From the very beginning, Mark was a joy with which to work. The location was perfect, the condo was everything it was advertised to be, and Mark and Alfredo were wonderful. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a "Home Away From Home". And, do not forget to check out the wonderful garden.

Lovely Stay

The condo was comfortable, clean, beautifully and artistically furnished, and exceeded our expectations as it's far lovelier than the pictures. Mark and Alfredo were gracious hosts and made sure that our stay was a very comfortable one. We loved the garden and the view and Maya, the parrot, who always greeted us with a "hello."

We certainly look forward to returning to this beautiful oasis again and recommend it to anyone looking for a lovely place to stay. It has all the comforts of home and even more so!
