We had a wonderful time in your beautiful house, Acadia and Bar Harbor. Thank you for providing everything we needed!

It's been so cool living in Maine for a week. There is so much cool stuff to do like the swimming hole, going to Bar Harbor, whale watching and some really good eating places. I love Maine!

Thank you so much for sharing your home with our family. Even though many of us have been visiting this area for years now, this was the first experience we've had renting a home instead of a hotel. Thank you for making the process so painless! Your home truly made our vacation even better than we expected and we always have an amazing time on MDI.

No hotel could have provided such a great kitchen to make brunch on a rainy day or cookout when we got home too late from our daily excursions. Thank you for opening your house to us, as it gave us the opportunity to live in one of our favorite places in the the world for a week.

The Pictures Don't Do Your Home Justice!!

The Pictures Don't Do Your Home Justice!!

My family of 6 (which consisted of 3 adult couples) stayed at the Brewer Home for a week in August, and it made Bar Harbor seem even better than it normally is! No hotel would have been able to afford the conveniences that this lovely home did. On the evenings that we all got home late from long hikes, we were able to grill outside and not worry about making it to a restaurant on time. We never felt on top of eachother, and there was plenty of room for us all to spread out. We had one rainy day, and the women made a fabulous brunch in the kitchen that allowed all of us to cook and prep at once... it was fabulous. By the time 2pm rolled around, the rain had let up and we started our day... had we been in a hotel, we would have surely felt the day was wasted, but not here.
The home is equipped with just about everything you could need, which is very convenient. It was also very helpful that, after proof of flea medication, our cat Lucy was allowed to come along. There would have been no way she could have been left behind for an entire week, and she fell in love with the house, too... so many windows for her to look out of! :)
And while the pictures are nice in the description, they really don't depict how truly lovely this home is. It is very clean and nicely layed-out, and the cathedral ceiling in the living room is beautiful.
We have all been coming to Bar Harbor for YEARS, but this was our first time renting a house instead of separate hotel rooms. Not only was it a painless experience, but it surpassed all of our expectations with the quality of time we were all able to share with eachother, while still NOT feeling like we were cramped in too close. We are a close family, but we were a little worried that the wrong house could leave us feeling claustrophobic. Not a worry here! We'll surely rent this home again, as we visit BH nearly every year. Meredith's home let us pretend that we actually lived there, and we seriously couldn't have had a better time. A++!

Just perfect!

Thank you for a lovely stay! Your home was just perfect for our families to meet and enjoy time together in beautiful Acadia. There was so much to explore and we loved being so close to Bar Harbor. Six cousins 12 and under, it was nice to come back to our "home" for the week and know we could roam, be free and stretch our legs a bit. Your kitchen has everything.

We loved the carriage paths and spent two days (13 miles each) biking around the trails and it was a special treat at the Jordon Pond House for lunch, everyone loved that. Lots of hikes up to the fire tower and Bubbles. We especially enjoyed a lobster/seal watch with Lulu's Lobster Cruise. Thunder Hole was a favorite and we learned lots at the Oceanarium. Dinner at Geddy's a few times and shopping.

Thank you for sharing your special place.

Great House

This house was great! Nice, quiet location. About a 10-15 min drive to downtown Bar Harbor and about a 10 min drive to a couple of Acadia National Park entrances. There were lots of magazines, cookbooks and regular books to read plus cable TV with a DVD player and a CD player. We had
3 couples plus a toddler and there was plenty of room for all of us! Washer & dryer was a nice plus. The owner was great and responded to our questions quickly. There was a binder with local recommendations that was very helpful. I would like to go back in September when the leaves are changing!!!

Pefect!

Your beautiful home served as the perfect backdrop for our family vacation. We all agreed that you had thought of every detail to make sure your guests were afforded a delightful stay!

This was our first visit (well, at least for four of us) to Maine. Thanks to your effort, we felt as welcome as if we had checked into our favorite resort at home. We hope that at some future time we'll be able to enjoy more of your area.

Thank you for your restaurant suggestions. We've enjoyed wonderful meals every night. The one night we stayed in and cooked we found every item that we had forgotten in your well stocked kitchen. With our appreciation, Edwin, Greg, Mary.

Thank you for a lovely time in your home, we've rented several vacation homes over the years, the kitchen is the best here! We liked the quiet area and also the ease of getting to Bar Harbor. We explored the waterfall and enjoyed grilling out. Super stay here!

Thank you for giving us such a wonderful, welcoming home to return to after our adventures in Acadia. We really enjoyed getting to stay nestled into the woods above Bar Harbor. The walk to the waterfall nearby was a treat and we loved all of your thoughtful recommendations. Thanks again.
