Encantadora is a bright, colourful, spacious and comfortable 2-bedroom apartment in one of Sayulita's newest and most attractive complexes. It's full of original artwork, custom-made furniture, lovely talavera ceramics and Mexican textiles.
You can walk to Sayulita's lovely north-end beach in 4 minutes, and stroll into the vibrant heart of the village with its wide variety of shops and restaurants in just a few minutes more. The location is ideal -- close enough for convenience, far enough away for peaceful evenings and nights.
Los Almendros is small -- only 26 individually owned condos in five three-storey buildings clustered around an amazing pool built for all ages. It's surrounded by large comfortable lounge chairs, umbrellas, a shaded palapa and a BBQ area. Swimming and relaxing just don't get any better.
The palapa-fringed front balcony overlooks the pool and is furnished with traditional Mexican equipale furniture -- loveseat, coffee table, round table and chairs. It's the perfect place to relax any time during the day, but especially on those warm, star-lit Mexican evenings listening to the sound of the ocean. We're on the first floor of the building nearest the ocean. There's an elevator to help with luggage and groceries and a parking garage. Street parking is also available.
The very spacious living-dining area includes a table for six, two large sofas, two armchairs and two coffee tables. We have WiFi, DVD and CD players, satellite television (U.S. and Canadian) and a growing library of books.
The two air-conditioned are light and airy and have ample closet, drawer and hanging space -- and lots of hangers! They also each have their own bathroom. The main bedroom has a king-size and a single bed, and its own balcony for your morning coffee, as well as a charcoal BBQ. The second bedroom has two twin beds, a fold-away bed and a 'Create-a-King' if you'd prefer to have a second king-size. All linens and towels are provided. Pool/beach towels are available from the office. There's a washer and dryer, iron, ironing board and hair dryer.
If you're eating in, the well-equipped kitchen has everything you need, including purified water at the sink.
The office staff are happy to help throughout the day, and a security guard is on duty all night, every night. Daily maid service is available except on Sunday.
Finally, there is SAYULITA itself. Amongst much media praise, the New York Times called it the “gem of the Pacific coast” and recently the Mexican Daily News called it the “IT village to stay in or visit”. It’s ideal for all ages and interests. A designated eco area, the village permits no buildings more than three storeys high and, as a result, the atmosphere is relaxed, friendly, intimate and fun. Just 30 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta and its international airport, there is no shortage of activities for everyone: surfing (on large or boogie boards), fishing, trail hiking or biking, kayaking, sailing or a jungle canopy adventure and more. And, of course, there is just plain basking on the wonderful sandy Sayulita beaches.
Whether you’re a couple, a family or a group of friends, it’s hard to imagine a better place to visit!
Mike and I have lived on Lake Chapala in Mexico since 2001, and we have been in love with Sayulita for almost as long. Buying Encantadora was a dream come true and we love it there. We're Brits who lived in Canada for a long time before Canadian winters drove us south. Encantadora is as bright and colourful as it is because that's what we used to crave. We really enjoy handling our own rentals and promise to make everything as straightforward and clearcut as possible.
We have visited many places on the Mexican Pacific coast since moving here in 2001. Sayulita is by far the most attractive and fun place to be. We chose Los Almendros because it's attractive, intimate, secure and architecturally interesting -- and that pool!
Great location; indoor and outdoor parking; elevator; security guard 24/7; best pool imaginable for all ages.
