Spectacular!

We were fortunate to find this beautiful vacation home for a yearly ski trip. After many years, the place we had rented was sold, so was unavailable. The former place was great - but all of us were agog at how lovely this home is. Plenty of space, top notch amenities - everything was perfect - and we hope to make this our new yearly ski trip destination. Thanks to the owners for being great to work with.

A Fabulous Vacation Home!!!

We enjoyed a wonderful week in this beautiful vacation beach house! The purpose of our trip was to celebrate a 50th birthday among friends, and this home was perfect for us. Our group loves to cook, laugh, and explore together and we could not have chosen and better home to share!
The open layout of this home is gorgeous and spacious, and perfect for spending time with friends and family. Every room was very clean and well decorated, with tons of room for all. For a group that loves to cook – this kitchen was AMAZING! From commercial grade cooktop to the double ovens and Subzero, this kitchen has it all. The huge counter space is perfect for prepping meals, and allowing all to join in the fun.
We explored a great deal of Northern MI from this location! From Traverse City to Mackinaw Island, we even got up to the Upper Peninsula to see the Pictured Rocks. The location of this home is perfect for explorers. In addition, if you prefer to just stick around the property and stay out of the car – there is so much to take in and do.
It was unanimous we all loved this home and location, and we look forward to going back! We highly recommend this vacation home.

A Thanksgiving To Remember!

Our family has outgrown our mom's house with all of the grandkids now so we set out to find a great place to make new memories...and that we did! What a beautiful property and great amenities!
We enjoyed the spacious rooms for many different family activities and loved the grand kitchen for cooking Thanksgiving Dinner!
We even took a family walk/run before the big meal down to the Lake! Great exercise!

Perfect home for a family vacation

Our family, 8 adults and 4 kids, rented this house for a week in the summer of 2012. It was the perfect location for all the activities we did - playing at the beach, walking downtown Petoskey and Harbor Springs, and spending a day on Mackinac Island. We had great summer weather, some would even call it "hot" for northern Michigan. We spent our days at the beach and our nights enjoying the fire pit out back.
The house was perfectly stocked with plenty of linens, dishes, utensils etc. The living/dining/kitchen area was large enough for the whole family, yet there was enough room to spread out and find a quiet place to read a book or take a nap after a day at the beach. The house is exactly what is promised and there were no surprises upon our arrival. We hope to rent this house again!

Our family of 14, with 8 adults and 6 children (ages 3-12), totally enjoyed the ambiance of this house. With 3 floors to spread out, we never felt on top of one another. The kitchen was great, the bedrooms were well appointed and the rest of the furnishings were of very nice quality. We were there during the olympics, so the large screen TV's got lots of use. We were very happy to have air-conditioning, which we only used at night, in order to have a good night's sleep.
The walk down to the beach on the 196 steps (across the road), was a long one---however, we found it to be a good addition to our daily exercise program. The landing with 8 chairs was lovely and a good place to sit after dinner.
We enjoyed going to Mackinaw Island, Pond Hill Farms, Legs Inn, and renting kayaks and paddle boards in Harbor Springs.
Our grown children said that would love to come back again!

Dream vacation house!

The guest is truly the priority at the Bohnhoff beach house. Its open layout made it easy to enjoy the whole family at the same time, but the multitude of bedrooms and additional sitting areas made it possible to have privacy. It maintains the feel of an up north getaway but without the mismatch, haphazard furniture, kitchen ware, and decorations often found in rentals Each room is decorated with careful attention to minimal decor and maximum comfort. The high quality of bedding, linens and other amenities contributed to the vacation feeling. While the walk down the stairs to the beach was a long one, the natural shore line along Lake Michigan made the trip worth it. It looks like something straight out of a Pure Michigan ad. And did i mention the dream kitchen!!! We so enjoyed our time.

Wonderful family getaway home!

We enjoyed an amazing holiday at this beautiful home! The well-designed kitchen with its huge countertop, double ovens and six burner stove was perfect for the huge meals we prepared. We slept well in the comfy beds and had plenty of room to spread out upstairs and down with multiple televisions and game tables for our game nights. The pingpong table saw some serious action with our "tournaments" and the beautiful great room fireplace was the perfect backdrop for our family photo! I would highly recommend a visit to Harbor Springs in this perfect getaway home!

What a wonderful vacation home!

Four of us stayed at this property for three nights at the beginning of October. The house is beautiful both inside and outside. The furnishings and appliances were wonderful. I cannot think of anything that the house lacks. The view of Lake Michigan is stunning. We loved our stay here and plan to return and stay for a week. We are thankful to the owners for renting to us. If you stay here, you will be glad you did!

So many things to love!

We stayed at this property for one week and did not want to leave! It is such a beautiful place...the house, the property, Lake Michigan view from the house. It's close to town and offers all the amenities...SubZero, professional cooktop, etc. Everything is done nicely..from the furniture to the kitchen implements to the towels and we plan on going back next year! Everything in the description is accurate and the owners are super helpful and nice. The shops in town have many unique offerings and the shop owners were so friendly. Don't miss Pierre Bittar...world renowned French Impressionist. His work is astounding and he is a wonderful individual. Highly recommend this property and can't wait to go back!
