Feels like your staying in a model home!

We loved this house! Marilyn did a fantastic job decorating this house. We didn't want to leave the screened-in porch. It was a so wonderful with all the trees surrounding the home. We loved just relaxing and playing the board games she provided. Her description is perfect. I hate dust and this house did not have one speck of it....not even on any baseboards or in any corners (not that I was looking THAT close!) It was nice she provided bicycles for the whole family because it was a little too far for our 5-year-old to walk to the pool. (Not too far for adults....about 10 minutes.) If you are a light sleeper, like I am, bring your soother.....the trucks and cars driving by on County Line Road (very close to house) seem somewhat loud at 5:00 a.m. The town of Frankfort had a great beach on Lake Michigan and the town of Beulah had a beach on Crystal Lake. We enjoyed both beaches! I highly recommend staying at this house!

Golf Outing

Had 8 of us that stayed at the home for annual golf outing. The house was beautiful and fit our needs for golfing at Crystal Mountain and other courses in the area. If we golf in the same area again, would love to stay at the house again.

Very nice home

The house was very nice, clean, well maintained and the owner was very helpful. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a place to stay near Crystal Mountain.

We only had two issues during our stay, which was during the winter to go skiing at Crystal Mountain. It had snowed about a foot overnight and we were scheduled to go skiing the next morning (we had lessons). We were stuck in the garage because the driveway hadn't been plowed. I had to call the person who plows the driveway in order to have us plowed out. We missed the lesson and couldn't go skiing until later that day. It happened again the next day, we didn't have lessons that day though. It would have been nice to know that we needed to call, I was under the impression that we wouldn't need to.

The second is that the furniture is a bit old and worn. There wasn't a TV on the first floor sitting area and the TV upstairs didn't have a lot of room to sit around it. I believe this has changed since we have been there.

The kitchen was good, very well stocked. There wasn't enough sitting area for the eight of us and the stools were wobbly.

Up North Ski Getaway

This is a beautiful way to visit Crystal Mountain and stay in a gorgeous home. We are travelers that prefer to stay in a home over a hotel so we can relax, cook and feel at home. The accommodations were exactly as described but so much better in person. The house is clean, well maintained, very comfortable and well equipped with everything you need to enjoy your stay. We really enjoyed our stay with family and would definitely recommend to friends as a great place to getaway and ski. The house is a short drive to the slopes, restaurants, etc. We will be back!

Outstanding Stay

I rented this house in late February with a group of 8-10. The house was exceptionally clean with plenty of room for all of us. With the addition of the basement, which is very nicely finished (and tastefully decorated), this house has a ton of space. The only thing missing is a large TV for the family room or basement. Otherwise, we had a great time and hope to go back sometime soon. This is an excellent place to stay and I would highly reccomend it to anyone.

We loved this house!

Review Submitted: January 9, 2009 Date of Stay: December 2008
This house definitely exceeded our expectations. The house itself looked and felt new, and super clean. The beds were comfortable, and the bedding was very nice.
The owner, Marilyn, was very responsive to our questions. The resort shuttle was a very nice feature as our car got stuck in the snow a couple of times. Overall, a very positive vacation experience. We will be coming again. Thanks, Marilyn!!!

Very inviting and clean

Home was very inviting and festively decorated. The homeowner has gone to lengths to supply and furnish the home with everything a traveler would need. We felt welcome the minute we walked in the door. Home is very conveniently located to many outdoor activities whether it's Spring, Summer, Winter or Fall. You'll need access to a vehicle as nothing is located within walking distance, but on the other hand, there's no kitche tourism to detract from the natural beauty they have to offer.
