Great View

Stayed: July 2011
My fiance and I along with our 7 year old son stayed in this condo July 2011. My son LOVED the tiki look of the guest bedroom. It was very nice, well decorated, amazing view. We had an issue with the cleaning crew however, which is no fault of the owner, but the first night we were going to bed and realized on the white sheets in the master bedroom was hair and body/blood splattered on it. It was 10pm - we tried to change the sheets and there were no other queen sized sheets in the linen closet. The Castle Reef Management asked the next morning if we wanted to go ahead and just wash the sheets. I was horrified at that response. Then the told me they would sent someone up in 30 min. We finally gave up and went to the beach. When we got back 7 hrs later, we were in the shower, and a worker unlocked the door, my fiance was in a towel, and had come in while we were gone, taken the linens, washed them, and brought them back while we were showering. Very awkard, so he ended up leaving them and we had to make the bed from the mattress pad up. It really made me wonder what else hadn't been cleaned....This was our second year to stay at Castle Reef, first in this unit. We prefer this unit - but Caslte Reef needs to improve customer service. We are coming back to NS this July and on the fence if we will stay here again due to the sheet incident. Which I hate because I really like the location of Castle Reef. Again - this has no direct reflection on the actual owners as this would have been out of their control.

Owner's Response: I am extremely upset to hear about your experience. Unfortunately, during high season the properties are sometimes forced to hire outside cleaning companies to help with the overflow. I have never seen any problems when I have been there after a cleaning has been done but we rarely are able to go there during in season since the unit is always booked. The master bed is actually king and there are always extra linens for each bed in the top of the linen closet, however, this should certainly not have been your responsiblity. There was an incident last year in which we went to check on the unit and there had been either a red crayon or lipstick washed and dried with some of our linens. I am almost certain it was a crayon because there were pieces of it in our rug and some other linens I had to throw away and a box of crayons had been left behind. I am not sure if this was during the time you were there but thought I should let you know. As for the other issues, all I can do is apologize and make the management aware. Thank you for your understanding as an owner we could not have known but appreciate your feedback and will do what we can to address. Sincerely, Angie
