Comfortable Elegance Surrounded by Beautiful Views.
From the moment we began planning our trip to Costa Rica we received excellent advice and support from the concierge who helped us design a schedule of tours, activities and restaurants. The condo is so fabulous that it was tempting to stay put since we could sit comfortably on the balcony and enjoy great views of the ocean, monkeys. birds and the sunset. We explored Manuel antonio by hiking,kayaking and snorkeling.The nearby beaches were fantastic. But it was always a joy to come back to the comforts of this condo. Every detail is thoughtful and impressive from the well appointed kitchen to the best mattress ever! That the condo also overlooks the spectacular pool and has easy access to an excellent restaurant that provides breakfast, lunch and dinner is an added bonus.

Perfect for our girls vacation
I've just returned from a week long stay with my girlfriends at David's condo. I only have good things to say. The condo itself is beautiful with every amenity. The location was very convenient for all the things we wanted to do including beaches, restaurants, tours and the town. The service was exceptional. Estela helped us arrange our activities and David checked in to make sure we had all we needed. And we found the price to be very reasonable. If you are going to Manuel Antonio you should definitely stay here!

Relaxing Condo with Pool and Ocean Views
My mom and I spent a week in this fabulous condo that has breath-taking ocean and sunset views. The master bedroom is more like a suite, with king-size bed, couch, desk, huge walk-in closet area, and bathroom. The private balcony overlooks the pool.
The kitchen, living room, and dining room area are also extremely nice. Updated kitchen with granite countertops and SS appliances (if you like that kind of thing). TV with cable (some channels have English shows - HBO, WB, Fox...etc.) and internet service. The balcony off the living room area has patio furniture as well and looks out over the pool and the ocean and the surrounding area.
Kitchen has dishes and everything you will need while staying there and can be stocked with groceries by the concierge prior to your arrival. The other bedroom is almost as big as the main bedroom (just missing the couch/desk/sitting area) and a smaller closet and bathroom. Still with a king bed and patio that overlooks the pool.
The condo was very clean. The complex is very peaceful even with the pool being down below. The views are gorgeous. The concierge was great. Everything seems to deliver to the condo (including pharmacy items) and the restaurant at the complex was very good and great service.
You are close enough to get to many things in Manuel Antonio and to Quepos and there are plenty of options to eat either by delivery or by venturing out to surrounding areas (other hotels, etc.)
The best part - the pool. Very relaxing. Pool side service.

our stay at the Manuel Antonio condo
We loved our stay at the condo. It was just as described, exceptionally clean. There were 4 adults and the condo was spacious enough to provide privacy as well as very comfortable common areas. We especially appreciated the use of a washer/dryer, cooler and the blender was used daily! Nice kitchen, great bathrooms. The view from the decks was beuatiful. Estelle was available to help as needed though we spent most of our times on the property or on the beach. The staff at the restaurant/bar were also very nice and friendly. We met lots of nice people during our stay. I highly recommend this property.

Above & Beyond Once Again
Our family just returned from Costa Rica, & once again loved the property and everything it had to offer. Last year we enjoyed staying at this lovely condo , so returned for a week then heading farther south to Uvitia. Their we 6 of us , all adults & the condo was still very spacious, with large patio windows for everyone to enjoy.
We found the condo to be exceptionally clean , just like last year. The sunset views r what we loved , the closeness to the beach below & all the amazing resturants near by. The resturant below is also very good, great service , friendly & at any time of the day.
We took a drive to Domincal for a day , great little surfing town. Drove to the Nauyaca waterfalls & also returned to the Manuel National park for a great day a the 3 beautiful beaches. Last year Estela set us up with the Mangrove tour & good advice on local resturants . This year we also went to Cano Island when we stayed in Uvita, but u can also take this tour from Manuel Antonio. Cano Island is a snorkellers paradise !
Estela , the property manager was also available for any excursions or questions for anything that we might have needed.
The condo is very well located , easy to walk to beach below & enjoy the snorkelling, kayaking & swimming in the prestine warm water . Many monkeys which we enjoyed early mornings & walking to beach. This condo is also probably the best located on the property, just get out of your vehicle & u r right at the front door. No steps or elevators!!
I hope again to return , bringing our first grandchild. Our daughter & her husband were on this trip together with us & she was 29 weeks pregnant. We thank Estela & the David's for letting us once again enjoy their breath taking property! You will not be disappointed in this one.

Spacious condo on top of the hill overlooking the ocean
More than enough space for the 4 of us. Beautiful view, although not overlooking Manuel Antonio park or beach, the mountain blocks the sun going down on the horizon because it is situated on the right side of the peninsula.. I must say it's the closest to Biesanz beach, down a steep road and into a rocky, uneven path, through the forest. It's an adventure in itself. The fruit tray and coffee were nice.
I booked it through the ownner through VRBO, he was very helpful with info prior to the trip. He said the property manager will be in contact with me, and greet us when we arrived but she didn't do either.
Her excused was that she was busy meeting and greeting clients, and forgot about our reservation from the owner. I can only assume she gives priority to the clients who booked through her. Anyway, our stay was less than pleasant, an orientation to the property and Manuel Antonio was necessary, specially how to work the condo switches, location of the beaches( we found Biesanz by ourselves at least). The place wasn't that clean when we arrived, hope they'll improved on that. The water was turned off the last day we were there, very inconvenient to say the least.
We didn't have a car, we tried one time to climb up the hill to Issimo suites for lunch but was refused because they don't take kids, so we had to climb up all the way to the main road to first restaurant which is Cafe Milagro, it wasn't easy for us when it was so hot, humid, and were hungry. I was glad everyone got there in one piece because there are no sidewalks and cars zip by in a winding, narrow road.
Be prepared to walk or climb to everything, even to the pool area.
The condo is not bad to stay in MA. It could have been better.

Dear reader, please consider this review in context of the 71 FIVE STAR reviews that proceed it. It's truly hard to keep 100% of guests happy 100% of the time. We certainly try!
We regret that this guest did not visit our condo during a season when there is a spectacular sunset view over the ocean from our balcony. The photos on our website are valid.
Biesanz Beach and Espadilla Beaches are both walkable from our condo. Biesanz Beach is 10 minutes away and Espadilla Beach is 20 minutes away. Many previous reviews celebrate their beach experiences. Most hotels, homes and condos in Manuel Antonio are not within walking distance of any beach.
Unfortunately our property manager Estela was unable to greet these guests when they arrived. She does her very best and tries to give 100% of herself to all guests. Most guests realize and appreciate the efforts of our hard-working manager and staff.
We take great pride in the outstanding work of our housekeeping staff. Our guests, with this single exception, praise their efforts. We consistently receive feedback on how clean, if not immaculate, our condo is. Please read the 71 reviews below if you need further reassurance.
We indicate in our recommendations to all guests after their reservation is booked, that a rental car is a very nice luxury in Manuel Antonio but not an absolute essential. If you are physically fit and not orthopedically-challenged, you can walk to many wonderful restaurants from our condo, and taxi to those that are too far. We and almost all of our previous guests really value being nestled in the rainforest, away from the main thoroughfare of town.
The condo experience we offer guests is not mediocrity. If you are hoping to stay in one of the finest places available in Manuel Antonio, we are confident that you will be very happy staying in our condo.

A week in paradise
The view- impressive! The interior -impeccable! The location- central to restaurants, beaches,etc! The unit is exactly as shown in the photos, with every amenity needed on a vacation. The detailed information provided by the owner was extremely helpful for first time visitors to Manual Antonio. A 5 star choice in every respect!

We stayed at this condo with a couple of friends and were absolutely delighted. It's very comfortable, large enough to provide privacy and has all the amenities one needs. The view from our balcony was gorgeous and a family of monkeys showed up in the nearby trees at 6:00 am in the morning as promised. The condo is very close to a small beach which we enjoyed a lot, but a bit father away from the main attractions of Manuel Antonio. The walk to some of the restaurant was about 20 minutes, but it's worth it as you get to see a lot of animals on the way and can stop to admire the views. If you prefer not to stay at hotels or resorts, this is perfect.

You will never want to be in a hotel room after this condo
Stayed the week of Thanksgiving. Great weather, 82-86 degrees, only a few showers as it was end of rainy season. Beach is nearby, 10 min walk and it is gorgeuous! Condo is in perfect condition, and the view is breathtaking. Definitely recommend for a family 4-5 people. Ride from San Jose was not tiring, only took about 2 hours. You will not be disappointed!

Fabulous Week in Manuel Antonio!! Outstanding Condo!
My husband and I spent a week in this beautiful condo in Costa Rica, along with my adult son and his fiancé. We were aware this was the "rainy season", but our timing had us arriving in ma the same week "Hurricane Sandy" was delivering 15 inches of rain!! We seriously considered changing our destination at the last minute to assure a "sunnier" venture, but the minute we stepped into the condo it was love at first sight - rain or shine!! We knew immediately we had made the right choice! Each bedroom was a master suite with its own private full bathroom and everything was extremely clean and comfortable. Having a laundry room available was a real perk, especially with the rainy weather, as we didn't have to take wet clothes home. There are three balconies and the views are just spectacular, so be sure to take binoculars! We walked to the beach closest to the condo several times and loved it! The water was perfect temperature and the sand was clean...it was postcard material complete with monkeys playing in the nearby trees! Next trip, we will take some inexpensive blow up floats for the beach and leave them behind when we are done. The path to the beach was steep and a real workout for us, but taking the trail slowly and admiring the wildlife along the way helped. We did not rent a car and in hindsight, I wish we had. Many reviews spoke of tough driving situations but that really didn't seem to be the case. This meant we had to take a taxi anytime we went to town, but they were very accessible and inexpensive, just not as convenient as having our own car; parking at the condo was ample. I use reviews extensively for our travels and certainly feel that a helpful review should include any shortcomings, but we just can't think of a thing we would change about the condo; it was perfect for us. My biggest regret is that we didn't take our grandchildren! We thank the Davids for sharing their home and Estela and Kent for their warm and welcoming hospitality!
