A Great Vacation Spot

JCast Jacksonville, Florida
Review Submitted: November 18, 2008 Date of Stay: August 2008
This was an amazing place to vacation from the view on the treehouse balcony looking at the twin Pitons to the valley just below it. There are hiking trails behind the treehouse as well as a great short hike to the Anse Chastanet Hotel and the beautiful blue water and sandy beach for some sun or just relax and listen to the waves of the ocean right beside the hotel. The water was so amazingly blue and calming. The food at the Anse Chastanet Hotel was wonderful and the service was great. The locals were all very kind and helpful everywere we went. The sightseeing trips were wonderful and informative from the Forest Tours to the trip to the Volcano. The mineral bath will make you feel ten years younger and make you not want to leave. Everywere you go you can stop and pick fresh fruits as well as a grocery store at the heart of the nearby town. The treehouse is just like a home away from home with all the necessary anamities right at your finger tips. The owner checked on us daily to make sure we were comforable and that we were enjoying our stay. You go to sleep with the sound of the crickets and wake up listening to the birds singing. I highly recommend this place for a first time vacation and for sure repeat visits.

Caribbean Adventure Awaits

We really enjoyed our Honeymoon week at the Treehouse in St. Lucia. The Treehouse is perfect for a couple looking for a little more adventure than what you would find at an all-inclusive-resort where you might never leave your room. However, we would have enjoyed our stay even if we hadn't left the treehouse.

The treehouse is very well made and has beautiful wood flooring. The kitchen, bath, bedroom, and living areas are all beautiful, accommodating and very private. Since it is on the road to a resort, there is some traffic in the morning and night with workers going to and from work which translates to a little bit of noise now and then.

I would recommend using a taxi instead of renting a car for a more relaxing trip. Driving seemed a little crazy: narrow roads, lots of turns..

It is within walking distance of several great restaurants, great beach spots where you can snorkel, swim, mtn bike(VERY FUN) awesome overlooks and views, the town of soufriere (bank, bakery, groceries, locals selling fresh fruit). The walking is a bit strenuous and not recommended for those who have a difficult time getting around. However, getting around by taxi is easy an inexpensive.

We had a water taxi(inexpensive) one day for snorkeling and lunch in Marigot Bay. AWESOME. Highlight of our trip

The drive-in volcano, mineral baths, and botanical gardens are all close-by and worth the trip, but you will need a taxi ride there (inexpensive).

I would HIGHLY recommend this spot for lodging and vacation.

We have nothing but amazing things to say about the treehouse! It was perfect for us and we loved Cynthia. She and Recardo took good care of us. We would love to come back in the near future and are recommending it to all of our friends.

Everything about this place is amazing--the perfect romantic getaway. A quaint, open-air cabin tucked into the mountainside and overlooking the pitons, you could sit for hours just looking at the pitons and the ocean or relaxing in the plunge pool in the tropical garden.

Very private and secluded, I recommend getting food for the pantry and venturing out only for special occasions, as the road is somewhat rough (which is what makes it so private) and while Recardo is the best and very fair, taxis in St. Lucia are not cheap in general (when you see the roads you'll see why).

The tree house itself is clean and beautifully maintained, lots of small amenities for guests to use, even some board games, books and movies. Make sure you bring plenty of Off, though--the mosquitoes like fresh blood!

Anse Chastanet is just down the road with a beautiful postcard-perfect beach--tiki huts and a calm, bathwater-clear ocean surrounded by cliffs. Lot of honeymooners and couples, no children around to speak of. If you don't feel like shelling out for an expensive, arranged tour by boat, you can easily set something up with the water-taxi drivers and get a private snorkeling tour for a decent price.

The owner was really great and gave us lots of great trips, checked in on us a lot, and the staff will come by as often or as infrequently as you want. Recardo really is a great driver, too--very accommodating and had some great info about the area.

This is definitely the spot to go if you are looking for a very chill, very romantic getaway--and very reasonably priced. We'll definitely be back. :)

Each day began with a Baileys and coffee and each evening ended with a movie and rum...we went to Anse Chastanet and to Jalousie which were both great...the gardner supplied us with fresh mango and coconuts...enjoyed the people even the local who gave my husband the nickname "Mr. Mustache Man"...very comfortable and well stocked...We had a fantastic vacation. It was our best!

Fantastic Vacation!

I have just return from a fantastic vacation in St. Lucia. We stayed at The Tree House which was everything we expected. The house and grounds were extremely well taken care of and the staff was very helpful. The villa had everything we needed and the owner even called to check and make sure everything was going well. We decided not to rent a car because the beach and town were within walking distance. We did many of the sightseeing trips and several hikes but mostly enjoyed just hanging out the the villa poolside. Several afternoons it seemed we had the whole mountainside to ourselves. Plenty to do both around the island and at the villa. I would definetly consider a return trip to The Tree House.

I just returned from my fourth trip to St. Lucia and the treehouse cottage has been the best. I love to dive and Anse Chastanet dive shop was only a ten minute walk. I was able to dive every day including a night dive at the base of the Piton. It was awesome! The treehouse provided everything I needed and Cynthia was great. I got just enough rest and relaxation between dives. I will definitely visit the treehouse again.

We stayed at the Tree House for our honeymoon and it was perfect. The house is in a private area which overlooks the Caribbean ocean and we felt like we were the only ones around. We had great views of the Pitons and the ocean from our balcony. The house was very well equipped with everything we needed and the housekeeper and gardener checked in on us daily. There is a beautiful tropical garden to enjoy while relaxing by the pool. Anse Chastanet resort is walking distance from the house which has some restaurants, snorkeling and a beautiful black sand beach. The owner’s arranged for our transportation from the airport upon arrival and our taxi driver was very dependable, friendly and knowledgeable about everything. We enjoyed the volcano, the botanical gardens the beaches and most of all the food. There is as much to do as you want or as little to do, it’s all up to you. All of the locals were very nice and welcoming and we cannot wait to go back!

We had a great time and it was very relaxing. The treehouse had everything we needed with magnificent views and privacy. Cynthia, Recardo, and Ben's taxi were very helpful and made us feel at home. Thanks for organizing the transfers and being flexible with our dates.
