Owner's Response: Comment: Lots of steps due to layout. Response: That is correct, the house is three levels as described in our site. Any interested guests be sure to make a note. Particularly those that may have restricted mobility.
Comment: We had a E-coli water shutdown which caused 3 days of no showers, no potable water and many hours of washing dishes in boiled water or long rides to restaurants for meals. - Response: I spoke to City officials and they said this was an isolated incident. We do not have any control on City water issues. We can only apologize for the inconvenience. Guests who may be concern, I will gladly refund your money.
Comment: Called owner but no helpful information was offered. - Response: Again, the isolated water issue is completely out of our control, this was a City issue. I received one phone call about the trash pick up days and were provided some discussion about the water issue which we were not aware. I asked to be informed of any further problems. I never received a second phone call. Had we known the degree of the boiling water inconvenience we would have gladly place our guests in nearby hotels. But we were not informed of further issues. Again, we received one phone call, mostly related about trash days.
Comment: Bedboard was cracked, so my sister-in-law had to sleep on a day bed. Response: We will look into it and replace if needed. The bed was purchased in October of last year.
Comment: ...contained a three quarter bed. Response: the bed is a standard full size bed, as described in our site.
Comment: This room is only fit for youngsters - Response: The room is 10x10, perfectly comfortable for two adults. Future guests, make a note if you think this is not sufficient for your comfort. Also note there is a private deck with this room, and it offers an spectacular ocean/island view. The decking was not designed for children.
Comment: Could use cushions on iron deck chairs showing ware & rust. Response - Duly noted, we will provide cushions. the chairs show typical ware from salt water.
Owner: We regret your stay was not comfortable. We can only provide the best comfort that is reasonable within our reach. The water issue is regrettably out of our control. Our intent if for our guests to have a memorable time; and we can only assure every effort is made to make that happen.
