Best Cottage on Lake Huron!
Thank you Christa for allowing your property to be rented!! The renovations you have made are gorgeous! I felt like we were in The Hamptons! There is nothing like your place along Lake Huron. We have rented many places along the Lake, but we will only be coming to your cottage from now on! Everything is so beautiful, welcoming, cozy and clean. I had no problem letting my 9 month old crawl all over the floor. We put the baby to bed, watched a movie, and had wine and talked in the "Mackinaw Room" until the wee hours of the night. We enjoyed ourselves tremendously. I can't wait to come back this summer! Thank you for allowing our dog. We made sure to leave things exactly as we found them when we left. Thank you again for allowing your little piece of heaven for others to enjoy! See you in the Summer!

wonderful family vacation
We stayed for a family vacation (two adults and an 18 yr son). We had a wonderful time. Cottage is cute, comfortable and clean. We enjoyed sitting outside and watching the ships pass by. We even saw swans on the lake the first day we were there. Nothing like the sound of the water. Lightening storms off the lake from the sunroom was beautiful. We brought a pair of binoculars which we were glad we had. There is a laundry in town at Harbor Beach which was convient. Really enjoyed the "guest book" that Denise left for her guest to share highlights of their visits. So glad someone mentioned the ice cream at grindstone, yummy. The broasted chicken at the Ancorage in Harbor beach and the fritters at Pat's bakery/Al's resturant in Harbor Beach also deserve mention. I know I should be reviewing the house but had such a wonderful time it's hard to limit it just to the house. The kitchen was stocked with pots, pans and dishes. She also had cleaning supplies for dishes. Lots of ice trays under the sink (we found after a couple days). Lots of classic family movies (not new releases) but we didn't come to sit in front of the tv (we watched 1 movie 1 rainy night), lots of games. It was fun to contibute a couple of small things to the cottage since we felt like we were sharing them with families that we knew from the guest book. We really hope to be able to stay again. Denise we can't not thank you enough for sharing your home with us.

Peaceful and Relaxing
We stayed at the Angel View Cottage over labor day weekend. The cottage is cute, clean, and cozy. We cooked all of our meals in the fully-equipped kitchen. We visited Harbor Beach, Port Austin, & Port Hope, and saw a couple of light houses and some nice beaches. The weather wasn't particularly cooperative. Too windy and cool/rainy to take our fishing boat out in the lake. It was nice one day (still too windy to take boat out), and we had a campfire and roasted hot dogs and marshmellows, which was a lot of fun! We also enjoyed watching many freighters going by on the lake. Didn't realize there would be so many.
It was a bit of a walk from the cottage out to the lake, as Port Huron is low right now. There was a bit of sandy beach right in back of the cottage, but no actual beach area beside the lake (again, because the lake is low) where you can sit. There is a sun deck located close to the lake, if you did want to sit near the water, but not right on the water.
The owners were very nice and obviously take great pride in this family cottage. It's well maintained and has a nice yard. We would probably stay here again, if we have the chance.

What a great get away
We had a wonderful time at your cottage-it was so nice to relax and drink coffee overlooking Lake Huron and thank you so much for having everything we needed there-it was nice not to have to pack the kitchen sink (especially with a toddler). Night bon fires and movie night, harbor beach etc. It was wonderful (Also, thank you for even supplying us with zip ties because you knew we had a toddler so she couldn't get into the cupboards, that was very sweet!) We will be visting again!!

I could live there!
My sister & I had planned a trip last October to see our aunt & uncle in Harbor Beach, when I had to cancel last minute due to health reasons. Denise was so understanding of my situation, where maybe alot of people wouldn't be. ( I think it's a reflection of people on the thumb, very helpful) Anyway, she gave me a credit for any three nights in 2010, which we used the first week of June. It could not have fit our needs more perfect. Very clean & comfortable, & we more than enough room, that when a strong spring storm rolled through Saturday night, we talked my cousin in to staying at the cottage instead of driving back to Lansing. We had a few beers and stayed up until 2 am talking. Waking up with coffee on the patio overlooking the lake was a great lazy start the day. I told my sister that, heck..I could live here full time. Thanks, again Denise. We will be back.

Perfect location with perfect amenities
My husband and I rented this cottage for four nights just as Michigan was thawing out from the winter (2nd week of March). We were visiting Harbor Beach while looking for a home to purchase, and preferred a cottage over a hotel. This cottage is just minutes from downtown Harbor Beach (which is a great community - definitely checkout Smallies Bar when you visit). The view of the lake from the cottage is gorgeous and we were able to see the frozen lake thaw before we left. The wildlife in this area is active and an awesome bonus. There were many deer and birds that passed through during our stay. Very clean inside and the kitchen was well stocked! I brought food for the entire stay, and the cottage suited us very well for dining in. Also, the front, lakeside room was wonderful. My husband and I watched the sunrise in there and made use of the wood stove, it was perfect. The owners of this cottage have thought of every detail and amenity renters might need and we found the place perfect for our needs. One suggestion I would make for future renters, grab some shampoo that combats well water deposits as the cottage does have well water. Aside from this, the place was perfect!
